My first time there was just to shop around; find a local dentist that took my insurance, ask a few questions, and move on to the next. But my plan was changed the second I opened the door and was met by Tiffany's warm and welcoming smile at the counter. Her friendly vibe was so disarming that my 'business-only' attitude melted away, and before I knew it, I was officially a patient. My wife found it funny. My first consultation with the amazing Dr. Joseph Shimoun was... memorable. I boldly (and perhaps a bit stupidly) asked him to just pull all my teeth and set me up with some dentures. Instead of laughing at my ignorance, he listened to me with genuine concern as he wanted to understand where I was comming from with such a request. With the calm demeanor, he gently explained that I might not fully grasp what I was asking for and then showed me that he could give me back my own smile. He promised he could create a treatment plan with options, and he delivered. After some scans, some surprisingly fun chats, and some great tunes, we sat down again. He laid out a complete roadmap to fix my teeth, explaining every detail. Better yet, he assured me he'd personally work with my insurance to get it all covered. I didn't know how to refuse and went with his plan happily. What followed were many, many appointments - some stretching over three hours! Through it all, Dr. Shimoun's focus and patience never wavered. The man is a dental artist. My mouth, once a broken-down mess that made me forget how to smile naturally, is now filled with a full set of beautifully repaired teeth. No more cracks, no more holes! Dr. Shimoun's incredible dedication, Lexi's expert and gentle care, and Tiffany's ever-present kindness have left the greatest impression on me. Though I didn't meet a single staff member I didn't like, those three are the ones that really stuck with me. Thanks to them, I'm no longer afraid to smile while driving my school bus. The amazing care didn't stop with me. My wife is now a patient, and when I brought my kids in, the team showed their true colors. So I looked into local pediatric dentist and this one seemed good. we went in with our family dentist care plan and the tooth that needed the fillling. they insisted that they needed to asses her themselves and since our insurance was going to cover it I said okay. They then proceeded to tell me that my daughter needed 6 fillings and 3 crown!!!! Again we see our family dentist every 6 months and get yearly xrays done. I felt completely overwhelmed when we left after the initial visit but knowing we needed the one tooth filled i agreed to a slow treatment plan with the first vist tackling the original tooth we went in for and one crown. They contacted my insurance and gave me our cost for everything. I then had my daughters new X-rays sent to our regular dentist since we had cleanings in just a few weeks. After the initial visit with Clarkston pediatric dentistry filling the original tooth we went in for our cleanings with our family dentist he took a look at her X-rays and said do not let them do anymore crowns since those teeth were baby teeth and not long for this wold. I felt horrible that I put my daughter through all that and almost let them give her a moth full of metal. Since then 2 of those teeth are very near falling out and one is already out. they also charged me more after I canceled the remaining appointments which were several weeks out. this was on top of the original payment I made and what my insurance paid. I see though that they are doing away with delta dental because they can not agree on prices and what they should charge for services. In my opinion this place is strictly in it for the money they will fill fill fill any tooth to get paid. Please be careful and get a second opinion if you get told a ridiculous amount of work that needs to be done on your child's mouth.

I brought my twin boys in for check ups in February before the pandemic and had a great experience. I had to bring one of my boys back in July for a follow up. I was so impressed by the lengths they went to make sure the staff and Patients were safe. Dr. Amy was so gentle with my three year old and patient. She made him feel Comfortable and was as quick as could be. They do temperature checks and go over a list of questions before you enter the building. I feel confident to go back. He has decided to only be in network with only one insurance company, meaning everyone that doesn't use that carrier has to pay out of pocket, and pay significantly more for the same services we have always received. Where my son's checkups didn't have any cost to me previously, they now have significant cost. And any work he may need in the future would cost much more. They began to make this change several years ago but then went back to taking my BCBS insurance in network. I spent a lot of time shopping for something they would accept, which just ended up being a waste of time. And now they have done it again. When I asked the staff why, the answer is that "Dr Jason has chosen to do this" without a single further word of explanation. The clear reason he is doing it: MONEY.
