This was a dog that was always wagging his tail. I am not going to complain about the abrasions on his ears because I know that they were a problem being matted. What I will complain about is my dog no longer is wagging his tail. He has had a problem with his eyes were constantly gooey and had to be constantly cleaned. No here is my complaint. He no longer can see out of his one eye. He has walked into the building and my TV stand. I don't know what happened but I know that he is not the same dog as before he was groomed. I appreciate that they squeezed the grooming soon after I called for an appointment. However my dogs won't be groomed by their service anymore.

I asked the groomer about the cut the next day when I had to take that dog back. She didn't know where it was from. I believe her - but I didn't feel like she took ownership that the cut happened under her watch. Im waiting to give her another try, but feel like she deserves it because - again - you can tell this is her passion. Stay tuned.

As my family lives in the south, if I have to leave for a family emergency, the visit may be several weeks. Desiree always responds with, "Gotcha covered." In the years that I have used Petlover Petsitting, I have never had any concerns about leaving an animal, even one that is on medication or requires special care. If I need more food or an animal needs a trip to the vet, it is done. If there is a problem, I get a phone call. If she has a worry about an animal or there is a question, she calls. I have special knowledge in some areas and Desiree has always used me as a resource. I am sure she uses others, too. Desiree also takes care of me. I have had to leave at very early hours or suddenly. I get distracted and sometimes leave things in the middle of what I am doing. I have returned to find dishes washed, food put away, appliances turned off, etc. Even if I don't remember for days that I forgot something, Desiree has already taken care of it. She brings in the paper and the mail. She leaves lights on for my late arrival home so I won't be in the dark. She lets me know if they plowed the drive or not. She has repaired items I left broken! If I could just get her to have dinner waiting, it would be perfect! As for re-homing dogs, Desiree has done this for years. She posts pictures of animals who need a new home. I have been to her place and know she takes care of the animals. And, she is always looking for a home for someone. I do not hesitate to recommend Desiree to others.

I was told on the phone that there were "only two people ahead of me," yet nothing was explained about appointments taking 2+ hours or the possibility of not being seen at all. After waiting an unreasonable amount of time, I was finally told there was no guarantee my dog would even be seen that night. That should have been explained before I wasted hours sitting there with an injured pet. The lack of empathy was shocking. No kindness, no concern, no basic customer service, just attitude and indifference while people sit there stressed and scared about their animals. If you're considering this place, be prepared to: * Wait for hours * Be ignored * Be treated rudely * Possibly never be seen at all Pet owners deserve honesty, communication, and compassion, especially in urgent situations. This place failed on all fronts. I would never return and strongly suggest others look elsewhere to avoid the frustration and emotional stress I went through.

Everyone from the receptionist from the veterinarian is exactly how they ought to be - compassionate and understanding. I always call before I come in, as a nervous dog mom I want to make sure I am not letting emotions rule my decisions. Both times I've visited on a Saturday, my normal vet wasn't open and even if they were, my normal vet has been too busy to get my dogs in to a doctor in a sufficient amount of time. I am so eternally grateful for the people that work at the Pet Urgent Care.
