Wasilla Vet does not care about your pet, only their pay!!!…read more They were fully prepared to let my 5 year old Western Siberian Laika, Daisy dog, die unnecessarily! Daisy dog was pregnant and had a miscarriage. Friday her discharge was green/brown. I called Wasilla Vet, where she had been a patient, they couldn't get her in until Tuesday. I called every day to see if they had any cancellations so Daisy dog could be seen. No was all they said with absolutely no concern for Daisy dogs status. Never even asked any questions about how she is doing. Finally Tuesday came and upon an examination the Dr diagnosed Daisy dog with Pyometra. Said she needed surgery immediately or she won't survive. Dr said she only has days to live in the condition she is in. Actually told me "she'll be lucky to make it until Friday". I tried to schedule the surgery, but their calendar was full. Said they can 'squeeze' her on Friday morning. I reminded them that they just told me she will be dead by Friday. "There is nothing we can do until Friday" is what I was told. I begged them to bump another less emergent surgery and they informed me thay cannot do that. Told me if I want it done sooner I'll need to call an ER vet. I called, they charge $5000 for the same $1600 surgery. That's out of my budget and Wasilla Vet was well aware of that. They wished me the best, said they hope Daisy dog makes it until Friday and sent us on our way. I called numerous vets pleading for help! Finally Faith at Bering Sea Animal Clinic in Chugiak heard my cry, understood the severity of the situation and went above and beyond to get Daisy dog the life saving surgery she needed. She got her into the clinic at 6:30 Wednesday morning. As in the very next day. I will be switching my pets to Bering Sea Animal Clinic and I highly recommend you do the same! Don't let your pet be a victim of Wasilla Vets carless greed!

It is difficult while grieving to pay close attention to the processes available to you and your family and it is easy to miss expensive unplanned options while believing you're being gently cared for, by a business. As a person employed to help determine services covered for families in need for 7 years, I am acutely aware of business practices, laws, and state and/or federal benefits available. This as well as cost of combined services in general. After that preface to the following: I am pleased with the level of care my family received when my dad recently passed. They had their hands full with my family and took it in stride. It gives me a chuckle to think about. Though it may seem impersonal, their website is well done and is expected to be utilized. As an initial point of contact or portal. It is comprehensive and intuitive. The largest hurdle is probably getting next of kin that is a senior citizen, to use the web option. After directing my family member to the website no less than 6-7 times and specifically stating that they don't make the arrangements over the phone, they decided taking a phone call was fitting. This even before the face to face that was demanded (that they really don't typically do, up there with arrangements made over the phone) to discuss info that artfully and helpfully already flowed on their website. The website. With available services via easily accessed menus, again being intuitive and easily experienced, and with a running total, you can explore different options based on services and expense. No surprises. Honestly it should be a model for directing folks to services available without overwhelming them with information while grieving. Often we say and feel -spare no expense!- as it soothes us that it is correct and warranted Make sure your family has communicated their wishes with each other prior to passing. It really helps to have this info in place so you can focus on celebrating your lost loved one. They took great care of my dad who passed, and my mom who didn't know if she was coming or going amidst it all. Bless them lol. Communication and ongoing care was thorough and succinct. Thank you, endlessly.

I paid for the cremation and death certificates. 3 weeks later I called to find out what was going on. Put on hold and then told the ashes were there. Why had no one told the daughters they were there? Seems once the money is paid they don't care for the grieving family. What an awful experience. Would not recommend this facility if you want caring and empathetic people. A big thumbs down. All about the money.

I had to fly to WA to spend his last living days before taking him off of life support. So many thoughts ran through my head on what I needed to do & how to do it. My mom said "Dont worry I know who to call" she called Dave & his staff. From the beginning of the process to the end our family received the most respectable customer service. We were not treated as customers but as FAMILY! The entire decision process was heartfelt & warm. On the day of my husband service Sept.15.16 all I was thinking about is how this was going to be my last time seeing the love of my life, kissing him, holding him one last time as well as my kids. Everything happened so fast I did not get a chance to put my ring on his finger, because I wanted us to exchange our rings so that we would always have each other's ring for a lifetime. What Dave did for me I would always cherish for eternity. Our culture is very strict and the one thing I couldn't bare was to not have been able to give my husband my ring, and Dave did just that he put my ring on my husband finger. I cried with so much love & peace in my heart knowing that my husband will always have a part of our lives that made us one my wedding ring. Anchorage Funeral Home has gained our family's business forever we also have been letting everyone know to rest assure that Anchorage Funeral Home will make thier love ones home going an experience that they will never forget. So much love & prayers for their business, staff and family. GOD bless you all, Jessi Tui & Family

We had the worst experience with the general manager B Spink who chose to represent a divided family against one another. The untruths that came out of that mans mouth was utterly disgusting. I was my mothers guardian for the past two years and literally did not have any help from other family members, without hearing both sides of the situation, he chose to inject himself into a family situation instead of being a biased party like he should have. he had no business inserting himself as the other partys representative, He repeated and spewed untruths, he proceeded to demand i cough up 2400 because i was my mothers guardian, he demanded that i give him my mothers attorneys name. We had to have our attorney write him a letter to set the record straight, the worst part when my brother and i went to his office to confront the untruths, he behaved so unprofessionally and proceeded to holler and demand at one point slamming his fists on the desk. My brother and I who btw were the only two that cared for our mother during the last two and half years and my husband were trespassed from the funeral home, not being able to say goodbye to our mother.
