I was chatting to the owner and they make a trip up to London daily to get their stock and everything is always very fresh. The prices are comparable with the supermarket, but you may end up paying a little more if you use the greengrocer. Still, there is always a better quality of product here and you know it hasn't been sitting around in a supermarktet cold room for a couple of weeks before going onto the shop floor. They also sell a number of natural drinks like ginger beer and dandelion and burdock (one of my faves). I imagine that a number of the local restaurants would be using this place for their fruit and veg and this really can't be a bad thing. Rather than stop off at a newsagent for a chocolate bar, you wouldn't go wrong to pick up something from here instead.

Quality Fruits also supports the local community - for example they provided bananas, grapes, blueberries and greengages for a Zumbathon - this was a fun event organised by Esther Featherstone of Zumba Lindfield http://www.facebook.com/lindfield.zumba the aim being to break the world record for the longest aerobic session - Esther did 36.5 hours and it will be shortly confirmed by the Guinness World record team. And they almost always have wild watercress too. The staff are friendly and all the produce looks fresh and well looked after. They also have a nice range of cut flowers and locally produced apple juice.
