I went to this place twice when I was in Munich and had a great time each visit. The food and beer were good, but the people were great. The bartenders were engaging and hilarious. Especially when they encourage you to drink more and have a good time. The service was very prompt and friendly. All I had to do to get a beer was make eye contact with the bartender and he'll give me a wink. 30 seconds later he was placing two tall, cold glasses of Franziskaner at our table. Now that's what I call service. The currywursts and rolls were delicious and hot. In addition, the atmosphere was very unique at this bar. People from all walks of life came through this place. At one point there were more Americans in the bar than Germans. Maybe because they had a live feed to the NFL playoff game. They might have been attracted to the interior that was peppered with sports and movie memorabilia. It was an odd juxtaposition that worked very well with the vibe of the place. All that was missing on the wall was an alligator with sunglasses (Simpsons reference). I highly recommend this establishment if you happen to be around the Munich Hauptbahnof.
