Plenty of fans for Bayern, several for Dortmund, and many just there to watch the game for fun, everyone managed a respectful and enthusiastic evening together enjoying the scene. My server (whose name I wish I caught) was honestly hustling about as much as anyone on the pitch - food trays were cleared almost immediately, tabs were marked promptly, and no one ran out of beer even though there was scant room to maneuver. It's looks quite small from the outside but, the moment you step down into the bar you realise its a decent size place with lots of seating and of course, standing areas. It's truly an International bar / pub. When we arrived at 9 it was packed and there were over a hundred people there. The ambience is wonderful and, for sport lovers there are three big screens with different games on, both local and international. If you are not into sports there is plenty of other distractions on offer like reasonably priced drinks and dart boards or, talking to strangers ;-)) Of course if you are there with friends / family you can talk to them too ;-)) There a variety of local and international beers on offer and, some craft beer also. Lots of long drink options and the prices for long drinks are just slightly more than the beers, a welcome change to long drink prices in the rest of Munich. The staff are international and speak good English. The service was very friendly and for their first night on the job did well to keep customers happy. There will be a food menu however tonight it was finger food on the house :-) There are a few kinks to work out and over time the menu for drinks and food will expand and change. Pub quiz / Trivia night is planned for Monday nights starting the 23rd of March and other regular events will develop as time goes on. They both seemed to be convenience food but they were very tasty. We returned a couple of days later for a quick bite. Their menu listed typical bar food with lots of fried items and various burgers and chicken tenders. We ordered the chicken tenders, fries and calamari. The chicken tenders seemed like they were the frozen kind but were all white meat and cooked perfectly. The calamari also seemed to be previously frozen and was fried at the wrong temperature. This made them greasy and inedible. Our server was very busy with a large table so the service was slow and forgetful but friendly.

I went to this place twice when I was in Munich and had a great time each visit. The food and beer were good, but the people were great. The bartenders were engaging and hilarious. All I had to do to get a beer was make eye contact with the bartender and he'll give me a wink. 30 seconds later he was placing two tall, cold glasses of Franziskaner at our table. Now that's what I call service. The currywursts and rolls were delicious and hot. In addition, the atmosphere was very unique at this bar. People from all walks of life came through this place. At one point there were more Americans in the bar than Germans. Maybe because they had a live feed to the NFL playoff game. They might have been attracted to the interior that was peppered with sports and movie memorabilia. It was an odd juxtaposition that worked very well with the vibe of the place.
