We recently stayed with friends in Cushendall and had the misfortune of eating in Harry's Bar Bistro. The Interior coupled with the menu gave me very high expectations of what our meal would be like. Unfortunately it was a complete let down to everyone who ate there. We ordered starters which in fairness were delish, followed by some very shoddy service from the staff and food which was less than impressive, the waitress made a complete mess of the order bringing two main dishes for one person and forgetting about another, I had fish and potatoes, the fish was not near cooked and the potatoes were cold not only on my plate but also on the side dishes. Another person in our party had chicken which was also cold on the plate. The side orders were a disaster and completely wrong. All in all this was by far the worst meal I have ever had, at no time were we ever approached and asked was our meal ok, in-fact every time we wanted a drink we had to try very hard to get the attention of a member of staff.... Harrys has so much potential but they clearly have the staff and service all wrong. read more

We were on a drive round the coast and called into Harry's Bistro as it is now called for a coffee and a scone. However when we read the Daily Specials board we decided to have more as the food looked just too tempting. The meal was fantastic. I had the Rib-Eye steak which came with tobacco onions, mash and pepper sauce. My friend had the Cod Goujons and chunky chips. We both agreed that for quality and value for money it was hard to beat. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly and the wonderful background music added to the whole experience. We will make a point of going back as soon as possible and would recommend Harry's to anyone who finds themselves in this beautiful part of our coastline. read more

Oh my word!! This place rocks. I travel the whole of Ireland and popped in for a light snack. Their Seafood Chowder is amazing with loads of different seafood in it, not just the obvious salmon flakes. It didn't end their either as the wheaten bread that came with it was fresh homemade and to die for. I had a sneak peak upstairs at the restaurant and wow! how its decorated and the way they have created an atmosphere using runners and design napkins etc really makes you feel you are about to have a special experience.... Will deffo be back with the other half for a lovely evening. read more

If you are passing through or staying over in the village this is the best place to eat. There is a new menu which can be eaten any where. Up stairs can be booked. If you want to eat down stairs you may have to wait. read more
