They are dishonest, deceitful, disrespectful and UNQUALIFIED. We have documented proof that Journey Hospice is unqualified to prove an accurate assessment to admit a loved one to hospice care. They attempted to provide care without the required qualifications, and we are now told committed medicare fraud and elder abuse among other activities. I am a register critical care nurse, I know about elder care, hospice, and the standard of care that our senior loved ones deserve. Journeys Hospice put our Dad on hospice which he does not qualify for (Medicare fraud). Her "caregivers" did not provide quality care and instead falsely accused the family of medication errors. We have been told the motive is Medicare fraud and this is a clear example of elder abuse. This review is to help warn other families in this vulnerable situation to avoid this unqualified, unsafe, and we believe, criminal company.

She was ran into a wall by a nurse (complete accident) and her leg hit the wall and long story short, they broke her leg in a different location. They did not inform anyone of what happened and still have not. We wouldn't have known if my grandma hadn't said anything. No one is taking accountability and trying to place blame everywhere else. Very disappointing. The facility and staff seem very kind and considerate however every time I have gone in. The facility is clean. I really wish this accident didn't happen otherwise I'd have a much different review.

Which led me to say as an outpatient here, I have had a progressive central nervous system disease since my college years and was in need of skilled physical therapy intervention to assist in some evolving challenges, that the staff is top notch at every step and the neuro PT trained expertise could not be better. Bravo and brava all around. And I'll bring this full circle to say something about the fact that there is a cafeteria here, 4th floor, in patient and outpatient care on 2nd floor, that is pretty darned decent for healthy food and has gluten free (alas, my current medical professional suggested mode) options too for rock bottom prices. (Of course I had to try it out. :-) ) PS...since this is in patient hospital they are continuing to be very COVID safe. Covid questions and temp screening at lobby to enter, treatment masks required and if you didn't bring one, they will provide one for you.

They treat their employees poorly and poor staff satisfaction leads to poor care. They don't have consistent therapy and they don't staff for speech therapy needs. The dietary team and kitchen try to make decent flavorful meals for pleasing everyone. The CNAs work very hard and many are very good but understaffed.
