All of my google reviews are 5 stars. I typically focus on the +. But, I felt the need to help others on this one. My son's car was serviced at Harrisonburg Ford last Fall. On the way back to Falls Church, the repair failed and the car was taken to Falls Church Ford. They fixed it, but said that Hburg Ford should reimburse me under warranty as it was their workmanship. I first spoke with Jason who agreed to refund all but the diagnostic fee (didn't understand that but agreed). I waited 4 - 6 weeks between checking in over eight months to not pester and I still don't have the refund. First, Jason wasn't there any more. Then I finally got to Brian the Service Manager. Long story short, he wouldn't even personally tell me that they weren't honoring the prior commitment and paying slightly over half what I was told previously. A very nice lady was left to that task. At that point, I gave up. I have three Ford Rangers, a Ford F-150 and a Ford Transit in addition to this Ford Fusion. For $187 savings Brian and his General Manager (it was told to me that Brian and the General Manger had discussed) left me with this sentiment. It's laughable that they said if we had returned it to their dealership they would not have charged me. We were 126 miles away so we went to the closest Ford dealer. The fact, that they know, is that we couldn't have brought it back to their dealership because it never would have made it based on their poor workmanship. I've had great experiences with Koons Falls Church Ford and Ted Britt in Chantilly. I recommend going there avoid these people that do this silly stuff. i purchased a bug deflector for my camper and the part that was received was for a small transit. tried to return the package still in box and in new condition and was told they wouldnt accept the part. I would not recommend purchasing parts from Harrisonburg ford. They will sell you parts without verifying VIN and claim as a special order. Once you pay for the item it yours, no matter what. They are supposed to be the experts and the ones who should ensure the customer is making a good decision. Instead they are about pushing product, meeting quotas, and not ensuring customer satisfaction. Here was my experience with leasing a vehicle with Harrisonburg Ford and why I will never do business with them again. 1. When picking up the vehicle it took a couple of hours because they didn't know how to do the paperwork. 2. A salesperson from the dealer called me 9 months before the lease was up soliciting me to turn the vehicle in early because they could get me into a new lease at a lower price. After I went through the paperwork and they even took the vehicle for inspection, it turned out there was no such deal--it would be an even more expensive lease. I took the vehicle back after wasting yet more time with them. 3. When I turned in the vehicle on the original date, I emailed and called them to let know what day & time to expect me. I was assured they would be ready. But when I showed up I had to wait over 45 minutes because the sales manager wasn't prepared and, again, didn't know how to do the paperwork. 4. I then had to fill out paperwork two more times online because he still couldn't get it right. 5. Two months later, I had to call Ford twice because the sales manager still hadn't filled the correct paperwork and then Ford had to call him to get him to do it. 6. Four months later, I got a notice from the DMV saying that I still owned the vehicle because the dealer never sent them the paperwork so I had to email and call the DMV to get it fixed. We hadn't bought a car in over 20 years! We stopped by on a Saturday just to look with no intention of buying because we had not decided what we wanted yet. Kyle showed us a beautiful vehicle that we just loved. He answered all of our questions (we had a lot!) and we went home to think about it. We were back on Monday with more questions and went on a test drive. Kyle was honest, knowledgeable, and very interested in our needs. Harrisonburg Ford's best asset is Kyle! Worst Dealership ever! I will never go back. They lied from the second I bought the vehicle. I have a 21 Bronco Sport that I didn't even want in the first place. Completely out of my price range. They said everything was taken care of...No, it wasn't. They sold the vehicle to me with the Manufactured tires that only had 50% tread life left on them. I got my oil changed in August, they informed me that I needed a water pump, it was under powertrain warranty. They said they ordered it. NOPE. Never called me either. I ran through a car wash and my back windshield sprayer was pushed in, they fixed that for me and cracked the center tail light, said they ordered that and would replace it. NOPE. I finally called Corporate...It was coming up on my next oil change and almost a year now with the vehicle. Still no water pump. So they said they ordered it again and would call when it was in. 2 weeks later. Still no call. Now, I am down to only getting my water pump replaced. They haven't offered any discounts on tired for me, still never ordered the tail light they cracked. I was sure to have them take my vehicle in for service ASAP and have the recall analyzed as well. read more

My wife and I were traveling in VA and had to take our Ford Edge Limited into the dealership for replacement of a headlamp bulb on 5/23/2022. At the time the service was good and the staff was friendly. On August 31, 2022 I was in the midst of selling my car and ordered a CarFax report only to be surprised at an error that was recorded by The Ford dealer in Harrisonburg, VA. They input the incorrect mileage thus cutting my actual mileage in half and when I called their service dept and spoke to Doug, I advised him that the mistake was affecting the value of my vehicle as it was notated on my CarFax as a "mileage inconsistency." I was advised by Doug that they fired the guy that did that and it sounded by Doug's comments that the employee in question had made other CarFax inaccurate errors possibly out of spite and lost his job. I proceeded to tell Doug that CarFax advised me that the company that input the inaccurate info was the only one that could submit the correction. Doug was rude and didn't want to hear it and said "what's done is done, I don't know what to tell you." He said we don't make those corrections here. What despicable service for a Ford dealership and I plan to take this issue right to corporate because it is affecting the value of my vehicle. Doug obviously needs customer service training or possibly should lose his job along with the other incompetent employee that made the intentional error read more

Dropped off our F250 at the service department to address the "death wobble" and see if it would be covered under a recall on a Friday. It wasn't which is fine and told them to fix the issue regardless and mentioned a wheel bearing making noise. They gave me an estimate and stated they could complete it by the following Tuesday. I called on Tuesday evening after no update and was told the parts came in and they would have it done soon. I called again Wednesday and was informed the truck no longer ran and was in limp mode because they did a factory reset addressing another recall. No one took any accountability and the manager constantly interrupted my wife and I just finishing every condescending statement with ma'am. They eventually came to the consensus that we would need to purchase a tuner for $600-$1800 to maybe fix the issue. After 11 days at the shop with none of the issues that it was taken in there for fixed we had to limp the truck to a diesel mechanic in the area to return our truck to the state that we drove it into Ford at costing us $1500. Meanwhile we will still have to pay to fix the other issues that it was taken into Ford to address originally. I have never had a company take zero responsibility for a mistake they made and was constant met with attitude by their manager Brian. Stating at one point that we didn't know our truck was tuned, we obviously did. We have pulled a fifth wheel literally all over the country the last two years and have never had any issues other than maintenance until taking it to this Ford Service dept. read more

This has been the worst experience! Do not bring your vehicle here unless you want to be lied to. 7 weeks and my car is STILL sitting there. Poor communication as to the work (lack of work) being done to the car. Provided unrealistic timelines. First two weeks, then when you call to check on the vehicle, another two weeks, then next week, and another week. Communication is lacking. It's obvious after reading other reviews that this tends to be standard practice for the service department at Harrisonburg Ford. If you have a warranty issue, get ready to bend over and take it. You will never receive any communication and will only receive subpar service at best. If you want to be treated like the unwanted family member at Thanksgiving, bring your vehicle here. Otherwise. SERVICE REVIEW: I brought my 21 Bronco Sport in to service dept to have TSB 23-2308 applied for a fix. Had to buy the 2 brake caliper springs from a Ford parts place in Illinois (out of my pocket) because Ford has a stop-sale on the springs. I made an appointment and took the vehicle in to get the fix applied. I drive away and the problem is still there. I truly feel that the service tech did not do all of the necessary steps correctly because the problem has gotten worse. So I take it back and I am told "The TSB doesn't actually fix the issue and that Ford is aware of it and will be introducing another TSB to supercede this one". What a crock of s**t! I contacted Ford Motor Company directly and they are not aware of that statement! And in fact they have assigned my complaint a case number in which another Ford dealer in the area will correctly perform the TSB in question. What a joke the Harrisonburg Ford Service is! read more

bait and switch. they charge over msrp, despite that being disallowed by Ford. they lie about availability of cars. together, I was overcharged about $10k. when i complained they said they took personal offense to that accusation. when I said I took personal offense to being overcharged they kicked me out. I recently purchased 2015 Ford Focus from the sales person, Megan Smith. She was outstanding!! Megan was friendly, welcoming, and knew her cars. I like my car and the deal and service she gave me. Awesome service. Traveling through the area and developed engine trouble. They took us in at 11:30 and we were out by 3:30! Special thanks to Gary in service. My daughter who is a college student brought her car in for repair of a minor switch. was told when the car would be ready, it was not. kept her without the vehicle for 5 days and it was driveable. switch was over $700, but to beat it all, when she called to see if it was ready, was told it needed a $160 battery. When i questioned service manager, he said "oh, it will probably start" after he told my daughter that it would not. That and i had to call 6 times, kept getting hung up on....and i wasn't even angry yet, just trying to get the service dept on the phone. read more

Three strikes: The first time we went in to price an F250 pickup. Their salesman never could get the specs or price correct so we had to go to a dealer in Culpeper to buy what we wanted. I bought their Premium Maintenance package as well as extended warranty. After one of my last scheduled service visits my windshield washer quit working. As I was leaving for an extended trip the next day I asked them if they could look at it since I had just left their dealership. They said I would have to make another appointment. Just out of curiosity I checked the fluid level and the reservoir was empty! As this was on the technician's checklist I lost confidence that he had faithfully check any of the other items. For that reason I now have my scheduled maintenance performed by the dealer in Waynesboro. On another visit I went in to get mud flaps for my truck and could not get anyone to acknowledge my presence! Today I went in to get wiper blades as mine were coming apart. These are supposed to be covered my their Premium Maintenance Plan. After allowing the service rep finish telling the shop tech about his upcoming vacation I inquired about the coverage. He pleaded ignorance and passed me off to another rep. When I got to her desk she looked at me and without a word walked away. I bought my blades at Walmart. Due to my travels I have serviced my truck at other dealerships and have always been treated with care and respect but not here. I have always felt as though I was intruding when I came here! I hope I never have a need to bring my vehicles here again. read more

The only time the people who work here return your calls is to ask you dramafied questions or try to act like they are a counselor. They lie directly about reasons why people do not work there anymore. I have gotten hung up on by the services department. They ALL were unresponsive, unprofessional and tried to make me feel ashamed because I couldn't afford some of the repairs. I will never buy a car from this dealership nor step a foot on their turf and I firmly recommend for others to take my advice. An actual counselor would be more legit to fix your car! They make the valley look terrible when it comes to any type of service. read more

College students BEWARE! The service depart made expensive repairs that didn't solve the problem with my 2013 Ford Focus. In fact they refused to perform Ford factory recall warranty work. I had to take my Ford to another Ford dealer to have repairs made which fixed my original problem. The general manager will not return my calls. The Harrisonburg Ford website welcomes visitors to call or email the owners, but does not give contact info. I asked for contact info from 3 different people at the dealership and none would give out a contact number or take a message for the owners. I will NEVER do business at this dealership again. read more
