Harrison Park is a pretty utilitarian city park. Encompassing about one residential block, and backed up to a school, it meets the minimum neighborhood needs: open space, baseball field, grass, playground. That's pretty much it.
This park is close to my house, so it's an easy place to go if you need some grass therapy. A good place to toss the bee, kick the ball, or let the little ones in your group run wild n' free. There are often baseball games crowding the diamond on weekends, and during the weekdays the school is bustling.
It's pretty bare bones. No bathroom, even. Which is probably good, considering the hood. It would likely be a junkie paradise.
3-stars anyway because even mediocre parks are positive things to have. read more
