My family has been coming to this park for years and it never occurred to me that I should review it. This park is hidden, the only way to find out about it is from a local. You go straight up Johnson Creek Hill (turn off your AC so your engine can have enough umph to get up there),The second left is where you turn and it will appear to be residential but on the left-hand side you will see there is a park! This part seems like it was made for the residents up there, but it is open to the public. There are NO restrooms. This park is flat, it offers an un-interrupted view of the complete valley, including downtown, all of our surrounding mountains and sunsets that will make you gasp. This park is where we go anytime we want to take a quick walk, watch sunsets, lay down in the centerfield and s t a r g a z e. If there's ever an event with the moon this is definitely a prime viewing spot. The playgrounds are fun for kids and adults, there are two age-appropriate playgrounds one for older kids and one for smaller kids and they're separated by the walking path. There are picnic tables and two of them do have small trees planted next to them for shade. There are plenty of grassy areas if you want to spread out and have a picnic. read more
