Complete disappointment, met with frustration that was fueled by defensive customer service…read more I brought my husband's custom navy suit to be dry cleaned before our wedding weekend. Not only did Prestige give me back the wrong pants (which I admittedly should have checked during pickup), but they had the balls to insist I was mistaken when I just returned the pants to them. A few other points of note: 1. When I pointed out to the owner that the inside navy lining of the jacket did not match the inside tan lining of the pants, she responded with "the lining of suit pieces never matches". I don't know about you, but I have never seen a custom tailored suit that did NOT match entirely... 2. When I tried to point out that the pants were clearly more worn than the jacket, she responded with "actually this jacket is very worn." Please note that the suit had only been worn 3x prior to this disagreement... the jacket is not worn. 3. When I said that the pants were too small in both waist band and length for my husband, a clear indication that these pants were not the ones we had custom fitted to him last year, she completely dismissed the comment. 4. Not once did I receive an apology for the mistake. I came to Prestige hoping for uneventful dry cleaning service. My husband is now out a pair of custom suit pants and I am completely frustrated with Prestige's ability to own up to their mistake or problem solve. Good riddance.

I brought one medium size bag of laundry to be done and according to the website if you drop it off before 10am you can pick it up by 4pm. I called ahead to see if I needed to schedule an appointment to drop it off. They said I did not. So the next morning at 9am, I dropped off the laundry and was told I wouldn't be able to pick it up until the following day. Not exactly in accordance with their website claims but fine. She weighed the bag and printed out a receipt and to my shock it was $68. The clothes came out fine the next day when I picked them up, but I had a few button down shirts in the bag and was told in the future those would be extra! For close to $70 for one bag of laundry I thought that seemed a bit much.

Do NOT take your business here unless you enjoy being insulted and yelled at. After about a dozen…read moretimes being treated with rudeness by the male staffer, Ive finally decided to take my business to another cleaner. I've been coming to Ridgeway since 2021. Every single time the man who works here handles my service, he has been rude, disrespectful or angry. My last visit was the final straw. I brought in dress shirts to be cleaned and pressed. He looked at the items I dropped off and said "you don't like to iron, huh?" I thought he was joking, so I chuckled and said no- isn't that why cleaners are in business? He shook his head angrily and said "there outta be a law." Excuse me?! You're insulting a customer for bringing in items to be pressed? Was the insinuation women should stay home and iron?? Other examples: I dropped off an expensive Williams Sonoma table runner to be dry cleaned. When I picked it up it was clearly cleaned with bleach as the color was completely faded out. He refused to take responsibility and said they had followed the cleaning instructions, so it wasn't their fault. I've been aggressively yelled at for not having my paper slip, for coming by to pick up items a couple of hours before they were ready (a simple "it's not ready yet would have been fine, but I got a loud angry lecture). You'd think this rude behavior would have kept me away, but Ive noticed he wasn't this mean to everyone, so I gave him the benefit of the doubt. It took me a while to notice that the male customers who are his age are treated with respect and a friendly greeting, and I've only seen men take their business here. So there you go. You all don't want women customers? Done!!!

The dry cleaning items had a quick turnaround, just a day or so, while the alterations took about a week (which is also quick). Everyone who assisted me was friendly and attentive. The dry cleaning was competitively priced, but I did feel that the alterations were a bit high. I don't have much to compare with, other than evening gowns, but I was surprised that taking in the waist on a pair of pants was more expensive than those gowns in the past. The payment system was a bit confusing as well. I'll admit, I did not notice the signs inside the establishment that indicated "cash only," so that is my fault, but the electronic invoice that I was sent made it appear as though I could pay with card online. The website also does not have clear indication about payment types accepted. In a day and age when not many people carry cash or have paper checks anymore, this could be a drawback for people utilizing this business.

Everyone goes the extra mile whenever I come in, including helping me get clothes to and from the car whenever my toddler is with me and I definitely need the extra hands. The owner is great and has personally helped me to the car on more than one occasion. I've brought heavily stained items, designer pieces, and fragile clothes, and they always come back to me looking better than ever for a very competitive price and with a speedy turnaround. Just last week I brought in my grandfather's Burberry rain coat; it had gotten some odd stains on it during our move. It's the only remaining item I have of my grandfather's, and I was so afraid of such a sentimental piece being ruined in the cleaning process that I delayed bringing it in for far too long. I explained the situation, and the way they carefully inspected the jacket with the utmost care demonstrated how thoughtful and trustworthy they are. I picked it up today and it looks absolutely pristine. 10/10 recommend.
