I use Harrison Cab once a month for a short ride home and never had an issue. I usually never wait a long time and if I do, they let me know and I can wait inside until the taxi driver is near. It's only $5 anywhere in Harrison and Walmart/ShopRite. The taxi drivers are always polite and know where they're going. However, they can definitely spend some money fixing the upholstery in the seats and upgrade the inside the taxis. And there is a residual smell from old carpeting and smoking that isn't desired. But if you're looking for a cheap and reliable ride home after getting off the train station, look no further! read more

During this pandemic, I think it is very unprofessional you fit 4 people in a sedan. To make things worse, you serviced a family member who had to wait 30 minutes to be driven around to make it to our house - A USUAL 10 MIN RIDE MAX!!! Awful service and I will make sure to warn others. FYI The service was provided by car #14. read more

I legitimately cannot say I've had a single problem with Harrison Cabs. Every time I've used them they've been quick to arrive, the drivers are friendly and chat away to you and the dispatcher in the office always has been nice to me. Okay, I've never used them for long distance travelling, only from Oakwood down to the Path, and I've never had to call up to book one, only for an immediate hire, but I can't say I've had any problems. I'd recommend over Schuyler Cabs any day. read more

After using Harrison Cab for 3 years, I can say they have been improving. The office doesn't smell like cigarettes anymore. The cabs are still old, but honestly, they have decent rates. You might say LYFT or UBER has better rates, but that doesn't apply when there is a surge and you get hit with a 120% premium charge. So I consider Harrison Cab a good old reliable cab service. Always the same price to go home and recently they even ran specials to the Walmart and Shop-Rite. Good going guys, now if you could just get cleaner cars and drivers, you'd be perfect! read more

Terrible customer service !! Walk through the garage to the front of a hotel to take the cab ,really sucks!! Specially when is raining and carrying luggage . Can should be in front of the office or 6 feet away no more than that. So bad uber service is not around. read more

It's what you take when you're desperate. This place is a taxi service and does what it says, but it is one hell of a ride. If you walk into dispatch to get a cab, it could be up to a 15 minute wait, longer during rush hour. Then the dispatcher gives you vague directions to where the cab is and then it's a mad dash to find a cab. Expect to run about a block to get your cab and you may even have to cross the street. You won't care though because you'll be happy you can finally breathe after being bathed in cigar smoke during your wait. Once you find and get in you car, you will notice another 3 people following you. Yes, those are your fellow cab riders. You pay full price for a cab, but you have to share with 3 other people. You're glad you are first so you can get first pick of seats. WRONG. It's a crap shoot and if there are only two people running with you, you do not get shotgun- you get bitch seat. Once you get in the car, the cab driver with then ask where everyone is going again- that's because the person whose stop is the closest get's dropped off first. Which means, if you live in the upper half of Kearny, you will probably be the last person to get dropped off. On the way, he will probably light a cigarette with the windows closed and start trying to make small talk about his belief of the "impending end of the world". You try to let this guy run his mouth until he gets someone else in the car to believe that 26,000 years is how long it takes the earth to complete one rotation around the entire galaxy. You become fed up with his bullshit and interject: "Actually, It's roughly 225 million years and that the earth does not orbit the galaxy, the earth orbits the sun and the solar system orbits the galaxy." At this point, somebody else in the car announces that they believe in alien astral projection akin to the beliefs of the Heaven's Gate cult. The other remaining person in the car is actually intelligent, but looks at you and laughs silently out of pity because you are getting nowhere in the conversation. It now becomes apparent why this guy is a cab driver and half the people in your car are certifiably nuts. You then sit through the next 9 minutes listening to what you think is two people playing a game of who can invent the most asinine Utopian apocalypse imaginable. You realize it's not a game, but is in fact a very serious conversation littered with misinformation and incorrect "facts". You laugh hysterically behind your jacket and realize this is the best cab ride of your life. You exit the car humbled by two people feeding off each others inane sensationalism and tip the cab driver appropriately even though you reek of ashtray and lunacy. read more

I had my worst taxi experience with them. I booked for a 6 AM cab to airport in advance. The cab came 10 minutes late, took extra long route to the airport (I did not care as fare was fixed before) and to make it worst got LOST. The ride usually takes about 45 minutes and after an hour and 15 minutes of still riding, I asked him if he was lost and he responded curtly that he knows where he was going. I was doubtful so checked on my phone and he had missed the exit and come 10 miles extra. I told him that then he took a U turn and that moron missed the exit again and when I told him so he shouted that I was making it worse by interrupting him. Also he complained that I did not use my phone GPS earlier. As if I was supposed to give him turn by turn direction without him asking. Any how, I reached airport and he dropped me at the arrival gate instead of departure gate, I missed my flight and got seat in next available flight for extra 75 bucks. I called the cab company to complain about the driver but instead of apologizing for the driver, he started giving me advise that I should have planned better by trying to reach airport 2 hours in advance and kept 2 hours for my usual 45 minutes drive. He told me that it was alright if the driver got me lost twice. He was equally rude and even put me on hold three times. I have been doing this every Monday and I never had bad experience with other cab companies, touchwood. So my sincere to you all would be to stay away from this company as long as you have other options. read more

Schuyler Cab Co looks Godly next to the Harrison Cab place. It absolutely reeks of cigarettes whether you are stepping into the office or one of their cabs. Their cabs are not as clean and their drivers are not as friendly nor helpful. And it looks like their prices continue to climb ... It used to be $8 (tax & tip included) to ride to my house, but they're now charging $8.50 before tax & tip. Ridonc. read more

Worst cab service ever! How do they stick 4 people in one car going to 4 different destinations, yet charge the normal rate they would charge if just one person was in the car. Takes 30 minutes to get to a destination that would normally take 10 minutes. Pathetic excuse. read more

Rude phone operators. Lack patience to listen to the caller. The one I talked to just told me to do him a favor and call someone else. Way to keep up the business guys. read more

Worst cab service ever. Avoid at all cost. They are super rude, in fact they are certified rude from dispatcher to the cab drivers. Their office and cabs are so disgusting the moment you enter, you feel like vomiting but you stop yourself somehow when you notice that someone has already vomited there more than once, smoked endless cigarettes and probably had done the deed there (ripped car seats, broken dashboard is all the proof). But don't worry, you will be comforted by your fellow passengers (yes, the cab ride is shared. Three more people who may share the way you feel) who have waited for long enough, have been humiliated, walked a block with almost no clue where the cab is (or which one) and will still be paying the full fare. One tip that saves you from all this misery, take Uber. read more

Only reason I gave 1 star is they don't have negative stars... after trying to over charge me by $9 for a ride I have taken 5 times before. The driver dumps me a block away from my house because I refused to get hosed. read more

I reserved a car to take me to Red Bulls Arena from Prudential center. I left the show early and waited a total of 50 minutes. On the second call, they inform me a bridge closure is tying up traffic. I can understand that but the bridge was closed an hour earlier. It took me 35 mins to walk there and missed the first hour of the Red Bulls vs Arsenal. This is the first time in 25 yrs that arsenal is in the US. I paid $300 for the ticket. They will be contacted by my attorney. read more

I use Harrison taxi, and I never had any problems with them. The dispatchers and drivers are so nice.

These guys are very rude, never coming back. To begin with they showed up 10 minutes late. I had to pick my son from his daycare and the daycare charges you a dollar for ever minute that you are late. What ticked me off is that on the way back they charge me for the complete round trip i.e. to the starting point (harrison) instead of charging till my home which is not even half way back. read more

Worst cab service I have ever used. Very rude owner and his office near the path station stinks. The cabs are not at all maintained and they smell. The cab drivers are rude and so rough in their driving. To top it all, these cabs are super pricy !! I do recommend uber any day. read more

You wait longer than they tell you and the guy that answers the phone is rude. I've been taken to destinations that were not mine and crammed in a car. Some of the drivers have no clue where they're going. They also refused to pick me up where I called from and made me walk a block to where it was convenient for them to pick me up. read more

Stay away from this company! Driver was late for 20 mins and no apology (I got a plane to catch). Extremely rude to customer! They also forced you to pay tolls for driver's return trip to the company (in fact, the driver can use local road instead of toll road). Please do not repeat my mistake choosing this lousy company! read more
