Harris Teeter in Fort Mill
Bruce K.

This Teeter is as good as any other. Clean, organized, with a friendly feeling as I did my quick shop. It's hard to believe that this store has been open for over two years as it seems brand new today. Great produce, great daily, really good frozen. I managed to pick up more than a few things for dinner tonight!

Harris Teeter 475 opened to the public on Wednesday August 15, 2012 in the former Lowe's Foods location in Stockbridge Commons after the recently publicized Lowe's Foods/Harris Teeter acquisition and transition. The company has totally redone the interior and given it the Harris Teeter treatment. Upon entering you are welcomed with a bright fresh interior and a new layout of the produce area. The rest of the store has pretty much the same layout as when it was Lowe's - but with a few tweaks here and there. Just like their West Town Market sister store up the road on Highway 160, this new location is equipped with a small Starbucks for you exquisite coffee fiends! The Full Service Floral center was moved near the produce area to make way for the aforementioned Starbucks. They have remodeled the front of store Customer Service area and tweaked the personal goods area to include a Pharmacy. The Fresh Foods section has a sub shop, full salad bar and store made pizza pies. They also have the Express Lane for grocery pickup when you shop online! The front of the store also features a CoinStar machine and it's brother RedBox. Go get your shop on!

Very dingy and dark . The people are nice enough but i hate how dark and old this store feels. I'll stick with Steele creek Publix .

I live 5 minutes away & go here a lot. It's been enlarged…read moresince thus summer & they added more self-checkout lanes. It's great for the quick in/out stops for the necessary. Milk, bread, frozen foods, paper products, canned goods, ice, gift cards, sodas, Gatorade, chips, cereal & 35 pack of Pure Life H2O. So disappointing they can run a multi million dollar business & still can 't get carts that won't stick together or roll. Maybe they should consult Costco you got that right. I like their easy on- line order option & pick up. One of the few places where you can get good prices on their six pack bottles of diet Cherry Lemon Sundrop.

They watched me struggle and when I asked for help they said I had to use the self checkout because they were short staffed!? There was 3 people congregated all talking amongst themselves and I truly felt that there may have been some prejudice vibes. I am not one to complain, however I was the only white guy there and when I asked for help I was directed to self checkout however when a pretty black woman walked up they immediately opened up the cash register after I paid for my food. The prior visit the last cashier actually complained how they were short staffed and the new manager did not care about them or the customers, causing a very unhappy employee and customer environment. When I left the most recent visit and asked why they wouldn't help me and they opened up the cash register for the other customer, they said she was much prettier to look at and I would have to understand , I asked for the manager and they said good luck and to call back the next morning because she only worked 8-5. Get it together Walmart and focus on making the customers feel valued and important. Lastly on 7/29/23 we tried to call from 8:55pm-9:30pm and not 1 single department would answer the phone from "online pickup,to bakery, to the store operator " the phone just rang and continuously would hang up after 5 minutes of calling.

The thick cut strip steaks were terrific, even after freezing and thawing--cooked up perfectly and tasted delicious and tender. Very pleased for $9lb--I've paid twice that elsewhere for USDA prime cuts that didn't cook or taste nearly so good. And because I'm new to the area I didn't have a discount card but the cashier gave me the discount anyway--very sweet gesture despite the fact I only bought a handful of items and her thoughtfulness is enough to persuade me to come back despite the location being a few miles out of my way. By the way--be sure to stop in at the Fort Mill Family Restaurant next door for the chicken and waffles--chicken is fantastic and great value, too. Thanks for your hospitality Fort Mill--happy to be here!

Whenever i come here i see her sitting outside smoking a cigarette. I barely see her actually doing her job. How can you be a manger yet you can't even manage..it's embarrassing. I went early on a Sunday morning. I like to beat the crowds and usually you can get in/out much quicker. I admit, I don't know the floor layout of this store like I do H&T where I usually shop so sometimes it takes me a little longer. My Son asked me to pick up some items here so I did. I was looking for the Panera Bread branded soups. I know they have them because I've bought them at other Publix stores like Indian Land and Fort Mill. I asked a lady behind the deli counter if she could help me. She reluctantly said 'what do you need'? That was the first indicator this lady didn't want to be there or she just had a 'tude. I told her what I was looking for and she said 'I've never seen them here'. When I told her I had purchased them there before she responded with 'well, if you don't see it out there, we either don't have it or we are out'. What she was saying, without saying it is she didn't know and she really didn't care. I just shook my head and said 'OK' and walked away. Then she said 'I hope you have a nice day'. Oh, she coulda said anything else. So I cruised around and finally found them on the top shelf of the section where they keep the brewed tea in gallon containers. I picked out what I needed and then walked over and showed her I had them. She just looked at me without speaking. I smiled and said 'I hope you have a nice day'.
