This used to be my go-to store since they opened, but it has slipped so much. Parking lots is filthy, store interior is dirty and outdated and the self-checkout machines, which are sometimes the only checkout option available, are just horrible. My guess is that management will say that they are short-staffed, but their decline has been happening for years AND the other major food chain near me is always fully staffed and just seem to be more focused on delivering a great shopping experience. I only visit my local HT for items that I can't find elsewhere or that I need to grab quickly. Tonight was such an instance and I snapped a few pictures. Shame shame. Management needs to be replaced with people who care about delivering a shopping experience that matches or exceeds to premium prices that we pay. Do better HT. read more

I really should be giving Harris Teeter 1 star. The only reason I give it 2 stars instead 1 is because although some of the employees can be moody at times there was 1 employee who was nice to me always and that moved up a star. That good employee is Meredith. The one that lowered the rating was Christa. She discriminated against me because I am a Trump supporter and she refused to give me a price check when me and the customer in front was talking about my Trump hat. I sure hope that none of the other employees follows her lead. Believe it or not she is white. Most of the employees seemed respectful of me. It's not a racist thing because most of the black women were more respectful to me than she was. read more

Most of the meat is frozen when you need it, they are always out of everything. Worse store.

This Teeter is as good as any other. Clean, organized, with a friendly feeling as I did my quick shop. It's hard to believe that this store has been open for over two years as it seems brand new today. Great produce, great daily, really good frozen. I managed to pick up more than a few things for dinner tonight! read more

Can we please get some good competition for this store? The employees are nice and they have decent staple stuff down the aisles, but the produce and meat are horrible. Nothing like the Harris Teeter of old and it just isn't a high quality grocery store anymore (although the one down the road is a little better). Get better fresh food please! read more

Pretty often find 1-2 expired items have been purchased when I get home. If you go in the mornings to shop they are stocking and spread out EVERYWHERE. It's almost impossible to reach lost items on the shelf when people are stocking (and they won't move). Forget about trying to access the produce isles as well, because workers are spread out and blocking isles. It's always something with this Harris teeter..... read more

Harris Teeter 475 opened to the public on Wednesday August 15, 2012 in the former Lowe's Foods location in Stockbridge Commons after the recently publicized Lowe's Foods/Harris Teeter acquisition and transition. The company has totally redone the interior and given it the Harris Teeter treatment. Upon entering you are welcomed with a bright fresh interior and a new layout of the produce area. The rest of the store has pretty much the same layout as when it was Lowe's - but with a few tweaks here and there. Just like their West Town Market sister store up the road on Highway 160, this new location is equipped with a small Starbucks for you exquisite coffee fiends! The Full Service Floral center was moved near the produce area to make way for the aforementioned Starbucks. They have remodeled the front of store Customer Service area and tweaked the personal goods area to include a Pharmacy. The Fresh Foods section has a sub shop, full salad bar and store made pizza pies. They also have the Express Lane for grocery pickup when you shop online! The front of the store also features a CoinStar machine and it's brother RedBox. Go get your shop on! read more

This review is mainly about the produce. Every time i go to get veggies and fruits there is always either nothing or they are absolutely disgusting. I went to get celery yesterday and there was like two slices and they were squishy. It never gets better no matter when the season. So they can't blame it on that. This Harris Teeter location is always super clean and organized. They also have very good specials and keep everything very visible. The customer service is also more than amazing with everyone saying "hello" and trying to assist customers. They have one especially helpful worker, Cameron who is always smiling and ready to help. This location has some of the friendliest staff members! I never have to wait for very long in a line, even when they are busy as they always open up another lane very quickly. Their butchers are always very friendly and if you need some advice on how to prepare any meat you're interested in purchasing, they are knowledgeable and have lots of great ideas! There are always a lot of staff members walking the aisles in the stores offering help. I love shopping here! read more

So with COVID surging in SC and NC, Harris Teeter decides to impose an online minimum amount when ordering groceries. Um, people are out of work. People are quarantined. And some of us paid the $99 up front when a minimum was not even mentioned. I don't want to spend $25 if I'm out of milk. Poor business practice. read more

This location is average. My review is of the seafood department. The seafood always seems not so good. I usually go to Publix for my seafood as it seems much fresher. I've purchased salmon, clams and mussels here. I don't think I will ever buy those there again. I bought some mussels today and half of them were open which means they are dead and you do not want to eat. They smelled awful. It's just unbelievable that they would even sell this product in that condition. Obviously they only care about the "sale." Do NOT buy seafood here. read more

The overall service of the store is good. I wanted to write a couple of minor complaints. First the sushi chefs are never there, the sign states 11-7, but this past Monday I wanted to order a sushi platter for Christmas Eve dinner with the family. I was there around 1:30PM and another lady told me they were away on lunch so I wait till 1:45PM and still nobody there so I took off telling my wife that we can go back later. I went back at 4:30PM and once again the sushi chefs were not there, so I gave up since it was late and by the time they come back I will have to wait on them to make the order. Today (12/26) I was there at 3PM and guess what the sushi chefs were once again missing in action! So I told my wife how about we try their holiday dinners instead. I walked over to the deli and wanted to ask about ordering the Prime Rib dinner package, and was denied as they told me the Prime Rib package was sold out! WHAT THE HECK!!! You got to be kidding me, you have a WHOLE butcher section 10 steps from the deli and you can't go pick a rib roast and fulfill the order? Seriously, do you not want the business or that because I am Chinese so I can be taken advantage of? read more

The store was wonderful, went to the pharmacy to pick up a prescription; called before I came and it was ready when I got there. Employees were very helpful and nice. I usually love this store. It is so clean and open. They have the little buggies so my daughter can shop with me and the staff is generally friendly. Over the past few weeks, it seems to have went downhill. The ad starts on Wednesday and the correct prices are never up for the morning shoppers. It took me forever to get what I needed and when I got up to the front, it was so hectic and the employees couldn't keep up I left to take my daughter to school. I came back and tried the transaction again. The Vic card I had was my moms, whoops, and it wasn't linked to get the deals I tried. I tried to be nice but I was getting glared at like I was a crazy couponer. I just had three boxes of cereal and one coupon. I felt out of place and decided I needed to leave. I think I am going to give this store a breather, start shopping at the one on HWY 160, and try back later. I'd like for this to be my base store. read more
