Harris Teeter in Burlington has really restored itself to a high-quality grocery store, delivering good products at "fair" price points, especially considering how everything seems to be going up these days. The store is clean, well-stocked, and offers a nice variety of products, making it a reliable option for shopping. The environment feels safe, and overall, I'd say 4 out of 5 customer experiences here are positive. The only downside I've noticed is an increase in panhandling in the parking lot, which isn't exactly ideal. It doesn't feel unsafe, but it does take away from the otherwise pleasant shopping experience. Hopefully, that's something that can be addressed to keep the store and its surroundings as welcoming as possible. read more

I have mixed feelings about this location. Sometimes it's easy and the staff is helpful and others they are rude and I have to find things on my own. Today was a good day. Everyone was very nice and I managed to get in and out quickly. They have the best rain check policy. It's good for 2 months and you can use them at Kroger. They carry a lot more than most places and the prices are slightly higher than average. The convenience of finding more products and their sales is what brings me back read more

One of my favorite grocery stores to shop at. They offer a variety of healthy options. They have items from local farmers and small business owners, an organic section, Starbucks and much more. Compared to other grocery stores prices are slightly expensive. You can find anything you are looking for here. Self checkout can be slightly crazy because the machines are very sensitive. read more

Things have really declined at this Harris Teeter and you would think with all the competition things would be better instead of worse. I went into Harris Teeter to purchase lobster tails. They were only available in the freezer 2/$17.98 ..I purchased 6 packages for Christmas Eve dinner and this is what I received. It is unfortunate that I don't have the receipt but I do remember the pretty older brown lady with red hair assisting me, she has been there for years. Love coming to Harris teeter for lunch since it is close to my job. Right when I walk in, I am greeted by somebody in the front. They always have exceptional food that you can choose from the hot bar. Everything taste so fresh and it is so budget friendly! The Harris teeters workers are always so friendly and ready to help you when checking out. I prefer to go here then any other super market! For the last 3 weeks I have been getting some serious junk in my shopping order. I order one thing online, make NO SUBSTITUTE which apparently confuses these shoppers who seem to think that I don't know what I want like they do and so they get me what THEY think I want. My favorite grocery location in Elon/Burlington because it is open 24 hours, has a great fresh fish/meat selection, terrific deli, good produce, and pretty decent selection of organic food. I once thought that it was pricier than Food Lion or Lowe's Food but with a VIC card I always seem to be spending pretty close and getting better food (as well as waisting less because I can buy just how much I need). My experience with Tameka aka the best personal shopper on the planet was amazing. Literally, the nicest, most patient and organized person I have come in contact with in a very long time. She handled my three orders in one day, great substitutions when needed etc. She called me to confirm that she had It all under control. You don't come across many people like this anymore. This grocery store has it all no its really not budget friendly like a food lion or a just save foods but when all my bills are paid I treat myself to a fresh steak or salmon. The store is ok, but the staff could use some improvement. I was at the self check-out trying to check out a bowl of soup. I was having trouble with it going through. This has been my go-to grocery until today. I couldn't locate toothpicks and I ask the check out person in self check out who told me to look on the isle with Reynolds Wrap. I couldn't locate it there. After looking for lime juice in the plastic lime shaped container and there was no one in fruit and vegetables to ask. Checking out in self checkout was also a struggle. I used it because there were only 3 lines open. Nothing major but no one was friendly much less helpful. read more

This is the worst store for running out of items marked as e-vic sales. They are out of the item within hours of the ad coming out,seriously. Then they trick you with there 5 for $5 or 10 for $10 advertisements. It will say "select items" but won't say which and there won't be a sign on the shelf indicating the select item. This has been going on ever since Kroger bought HT. I'm sick of this place and will shop elsewhere from now on. read more

My wife and I have shopped at this store for many years and for the past several years we've used the excellent Express grocery option. My wife orders on line and we just pick them up out front. Up until this week there have been no problems but our most recent order was incorrect and we didn't see that until we got home. I am writing this Yelp review to praise the way their co-manager, Christi, handled our visit yesterday to make things right. She is polite, professional and knowledgeable. It was a joy to speak with her. As it turns out we had an inexperienced girl handling our order this time and Christi will use our experience to better teach her their processes. Thoroughly enjoy shopping at Harris-Teeter in Burlington, NC. Their employees are always welcoming, the grocery, deli and meat departments are top quality. The pharmacy is the best. We get all of our prescriptions at HT. Amanda and Beau make sure that our meds are exactly right and not anything that will cause allergic reactions and make sure that any new prescription will work with our daily meds. My husband gets his flu shots there. The pharmacy assistants, Christine and Sara treat us well. I usually like this store. Today at the check out, although I brought my own bags, the clerk put my meat in a plastic bag. I didn't like how my purchases were arranged in my bags, I brought six bags, but she loaded up just a few. When I got to the car and rearranged my purchases, I noticed there was no meat. Went back in the store. The clerk had my meat in plastic and said she couldn't catch me. I had been Iin the parking lot at least 5 minutes rearranging my purchases. I love Harris teeter but this one has started to bother me. They cut out some of my favorite products (oikos frozen yogurt?). Also they've been out of salmon the past couple of times I've gone in...they might be spending too much energy on this teeter fuel thing when they should really focus on the food. read more

Customer service in this store is totally incompetent. Waited in the presence of black woman behind counter, I'm white and she completely ignored me. She answered two phone calls while I'm standing there never acknowledging my presence. After the second call (waiting 10 min) she walks around the counter and goes back into the store. Having been a customer in the Fayetteville, NC store and coming to this one is so backwoods redneck it's pathetic. First and last time customer. We had the best experience at Harris Teeters this afternoon. We are here from out of town and wanted to make a nice meal for our daughter and son in law. I was looking for stuffed mushrooms at the seafood counter for appetizers. Although there were none available--Philip, the gentleman behind the counter offered to make some for us!
