    Kmart is as Kmart does. I mean, they sell K's right? Uh…read more.. It's a department store like any other. This specific one hasn't done anything that raises it above or lowers it below any other I've been to. What should you be after if you head to Kmart? Auto and home stuff. If you don't want to go anywhere else and you need a tshirt with your toaster than go for it. Pet stuff? Check. Toys? Yeah, sure. I guess they have everything, but... I mean really if you're after something specific of a high quality you're in the wrong place. But if you're after household items at a pretty good price than you're in the right place. As far as service goes I'm sure it depends on who you get. You've got the normal mix of part time high schoolers and the older mob who have been here for years. I'm sure a mix of these are good with their customer service skills, too. I'd say the selling point of this Kmart is the fact that it's in the shopping centre. So either it can act as your last resort, or if you can't find what you need there then there's always somewhere nearby. Huzzah!

Went to buy $100.00 worth of product on Thursday night but had to go through self service, not going to happen. Put staff on to provide this service, and don`t advertise anything about the customer service you provide, because there isn`t any. This occurred at your Aspley store.

    Went to Myers Chermside to buy some clothing…read more After waiting a good five minutes in a line which had a lady with a big order which is fair enough we were directed down to another area of the store to see a checkout assistant After standing at the next checkout with no attendant for another five minutes as we were talking in a group we approached a staff member and asked if she could help. She informed us that she was only there to hang undies and couldn't. I then understood that this could be quite a complex role and required extreme concentration from a Myers staff member so proceeded to ask if she could call an attendant. We were then informed that she didn't know how and that the desk was generally empty and we just had to walk around to find a staff member A couple of minutes after two attendants walk out of the change room area. One was on the phone and the other was walking with her. The attendant not on the phone saw the line at the counter, turned around and walked the other way leaving the other who was on a phone call to assist. This would single-handedly been my worst retail experience ever from a store in which I expected more. It was so bad I can't wait to tell everyone about it

My husband and I went to purchase some frying pans. We selected some China in the first five minutes and left it on the counter to select the frying pan. The brand had 5 different products. We asked the assistant what was the difference. I don't know just the same. She had no idea. I asked if she could find out but that was too much effort( it was close to her lunch break). We went to the display to try to find out ourselves. We went back to the counter where there was another assistant. We asked if she knew or if she could find out, even call another store. We were told she didn't have the number for another store. She wandered around having no idea and said she couldn't help. Eventually after threatening to see the store manager she asked someone in electrical who was somewhat more helpful. Disgusted with the service I went to find the assistant store manager who came back to the cookware area. She asked what we wanted. I again reiterated that we wanted, to buy frying pans worth several hundreds of $. To cut to the end, no one had a clue. The manager supported the inept staff who had absolutely no idea which was the better quality. Given up in disgust, we looked for the difference ourselves finding one was made in China and one was made in France. Well done Myers you take the crown for inept service starting from the top down. I have no problem with older staff but it appears Myers don't sack workers but put up with poor service and attitude till they retire. I will NEVER buy a thing at Myers again. If they cease to exist because of competition and on line so be it. 5 minute on the internet to purchase beats 1 hour and 10 minutes trying to get face to face service. It's a shame I had to give even one star rating.
