I love…read morerunning, and with the help of various therapists at Dresher PT, I've eventually overcome knee injuries, a turned ankle, hamstring tears, foot surgery, and ITB injuries. (I am not clumsy - I've just been running for a long time.) Last year, Donna guided me through a hamstring tear that helped me recover in time to run my dream Marathon! I've worked with several of their therapists; they are patient, understanding, personable, and explain injury avoidance as well as treatment in a way that isn't patronizing. Okay, I should stretch more, and they're always teasing me about that (deservedly). But every couple of years when I get one injury or another, new or recurring, I know where to turn. I don't hesitate to recommend anyone - whatever their injury - to their care.

She provided me with exercises as well as functional tips to minimize pain when performing daily activities. She listened to my concerns and adapted exercises to my individual lifestyle. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone looking for serious therapy. You're better off sitting at…read morehome watching TV than coming here. The way this place is run is a complete joke. The fist day we came, one of the therapists was trying to convince me NOT to come and observe. Later, I had realized why. It says "One-On-One" on the schedule, but it is nothing like that. The therapists literally walk around giving multiple patients exercises to do, leave and then come back for another. In between this time, they small talk amongst themselves about their personal lives. The therapists have exercises such as " the bike" and "corn husks" which involve no interaction from them. The majority of the sessions are spent doing these types of exercises. The therapists barely interact with the patient. I was not happy with the way this facility was run, especially for a stroke patient. Later our therapist kept warning us of an "if we don't get approved" for future sessions scenario. She tried to sell us a "gym membership" at their facility as a "backup plan" to being declined for PT. This was mentioned to us multiple times within the next few weeks. At this point I had an eerie feeling that were were about to be kicked out. The therapist all know how approval of insurance works and they deliberately wrote to the insurance company so that we would NOT get approved for future visits. Perhaps they'd rather do sessions with young athletes who only have minor injuries. This happened shortly after for OT as well. Also, the scheduling here is horrendous. There would always be gaps in-between approvals for additional visits. They cancelled multiple appointments on the same day of the appointment. Zero consistency. Strokes are a time sensitive recovery and this facility was a big waste of time.

An urgent care where they will just bandage you up and shove you off with some pills. Go to your primary care go through all the hurdles and get to a specialist, or if it's orthopedically related... Rothman, is the place to go. Obviously when you're talking about insurance, there may be some loopholes but if you can go to Rothman. Arthritis in my knee had me completely unable to walk. When it got to where I could no longer take it my eye Doctor of all people suggested I go to Rothman. Rothman has their own urgent care with a referral I was able to go. I waited no longer than 10 to 20 minutes - given an x-ray immediately and saw an orthopedic PA. He gave me a Cortizone shot, a knee brace and an appointment to come back in two weeks. Two weeks later, I saw Megan at the Willow Grove location, who immediately wanted to investigate further. The pain she noticed seemed far worse than arthritis so she ordered the corresponding tests. After exploring all my options, she recommended gel knee shots. A series of three for those that Cortizone doesn't work. With the therapeutic exercises she gave me and the shots. I am no longer in need of wearing my brace. And my arthritis pain is managed. Quality care, concerned, involved, medical staff, friendly support staff, and efficient office staff - I have yet to encounter an organization in the medical field that works as smoothly as what I have witnessed at Rothman.

They have billed me using an incorrect code (e.g. for a 45-min "complex" follow up visit when it was really a 10-min check-up), and twice tried to double bill for something that was already included in another code. The doctors are good, the surgeons are skilled, you'll get good care, etc. But the billing office will fleece you if you don't thoroughly check every bill you get.
