Im not sure how to even start to explain the un-professionalism of the workers here i didn't get a name so i wont say its all of them but they need someone more experienced I've never had a call like that in my life. I called asking for a quote to sell a bmw i have and they gave me a number to send pictures to so i do as asked, but the weirdness comes next. My vehicle is a bit older and i wanted to explain to the boss who they explained calls the final say on how much to give for any vehicle a run down on how it is exactly and how it runs but they kept running around the question if he can reach out to him and give him my info to reach out to me to speak to him and all he kept saying is "i can but it wont speed things up or anything" and started trying to explain how Its the same talking to him when he specifically already said someone else called final say then kept running around the question until he just decided to say we do not want your vehicle anymore or business and i calmly and politely said ok but i would recommend taking your business anywhere else but here.! This was the first place i have ever ran into a employee that made it so complicated for me to speak to someone in charge at work place they just work for when they clearly stated someone else makes the final call and then deny me service and hang up. read more

Amazing customer service from Chris. I was assisting my sister-in-law to look for a new vehicle during her car shopping. Her in my wife located a great looking BMW X3 at Haroot and asked me to go see it for her. I was hesitant to take the long drive from Orange County to Sun Valley, but in the end it was worth it. Chris is very honorable and extremely professional. He extended every courtesy to me possible when I looked at the vehicle. When my sister-in-law called him to arrange purchase he was beyond helpful to her. In fact, he was an advocate for her during the purchase process. Chris is a slime ball. He refuses to answer the phone, but will text his lies to you in sappy overspeak. He agreed that he had sold me a BMW he listed on Cargurus. I told him to "Consider the car sold" he agreed in writing with "" and later emailed me Carfax and maintenance history on the car, and promised a video of the car being driven. The following day he went silent, and when I inquired, he said he had a sick child, to which I replied that he take all the time necessary, and that I would keep he and his family in my prayers. I told him I was prepared to wire him funds for full price. On the 3rd day after not hearing from him, I tried calling and once again endured the most inane, ridiculous voicemail message of any business I've ever dealt with. He won't answer the phone due to his inability to be an adult businessman. So I texted to ask him where we are with the transaction, and received the following reply: "Chris ( my name is also Chris) hope you're doing fantastic. It it is with much sadness that I tell you that the car sold on Tuesday morning " *Note, I got this message at 7pm Thursday night. Our transaction was agreed to Sunday evening. So for 4 days, as I made arrangements to have the car shipped, and had funds ready to wire, he went 100% silent. It is quite possible the car was sold at a higher price than they listed in Cargurus, but until that is revealed in court, we have no way of knowing. There was a time when a man's word was his bond, the only true basis for assessing his character. Sadly, that level of honesty is terribly rare today. You may have a better experience with other sales associates at this place, but given the level of unprofessionalism and aggressive discourtesy, I'd steer well away of it and spend your hard-earned money elsewhere. Usually it's been ok service... so I didn't wanna write a review and give them 3 stars for subpar service, but the last time I went one of the guys, seemed like he was a partner... acted like a complete amateur! Didn't really grasp the concept that we were perhaps customers in the establishment... spending thousand of $'s on auto parts??? Talked down to me as if I was just some lost soul in his junk yard. Well he was the real loser, I have told numerous of my Bmw friends to never go back, referred them to numerous other junk yards, and will go above and beyond to make sure I write a negative review on every social outlet I can! Don't forget one other thing... I am at different junk yards every week, so I am comparing this place to numerous places! I just bought a new(er) car and needed some bits and bobbs for it. This plave been recommended to me by my mechanic Lee (I will add him on Yelp because he is amazing, so will update this review with his details ;) ) I had to call for directions and Charlie answered and directed us pretty much to the door of the place!!. He was so nice and polite over the phone and indeed when we got there he was the one helping out. I've never seen someone so caring and helpful it was so great to experience such a service. Charlie had 2 phones at once at some point, hunting down this sun visor we needed and he went out of his way to make sure that we had all the bits we needed. The place itself is small, though noticed that it's very tidy and clean and the rest of the staff seemed very knowledgeable and helpful too. I understood from my Mechanic that this is THE place to go for BMW's and Mercs parts and the other clients there were quick to confirm this too. The price?? Super fair.... If you need a spare used part for your BMW, chances are that Harout would have it. This is where most BMW service shops get their used parts. I went in to buy a part thinking I needed my A/C fan replaced. They were nice enough to suggest that I should get a mechanic to confirm before I purchased. Sure enough, it turns out I needed a resistor, not a fan. Resistors are inexpensive so I just got a new one. Harout is honest and they have a great inventory of used parts for Bimmers. Highly recommend it for after-market and used parts. read more

What does one do: when you have less than a week to get an expensive auto part to pass SMOG STAR CERTIFICATION - for a 1994 BMW? I was frazzled and in a trance- hurriedly went to google to type in "used BMW body parts store"...and came across HAROUT'S. I called & got Sam on the phone who quickly confirmed that he had the part & pleasantly offered it to me for a VERY REASONABLE price. I drove from Santa Monica to Sun Valley- and was quickly greeted by Sam, who also called a reliable mechanic on my behalf- who was just 20 miles away- who said he would replace the valve the same day. My BMW got the valve & the mechanic also helped me pass the SMOG CERTIFICATION.. and I got home before the 5pm Friday traffic. Ive been trying to set up a time to view a vehicle that Chris knew I was very interested in. He said Thurs was not a good time so we set up for Tuesday (today). Over the weekend, however, he accepted a deposit from an out of state buyer. Good thing I texted him before heading there since I had to take off work at the hospital to drive about more than an hour away. He responded with "don't come actually, I just took a deposit for it." It was actually rude and unprofessional that he would do that since I had interest before the current buyer. I guess that's just the name of the car dealer game. These guys are great. I came here to get a headlight igniter for my BMW. The dealership was charging me $650 for the part, but Harout's hooked it up for $135. I recently completely damaged my driver side mirror on my Mercedes SUV. I went to a few autobodies and they were quoting me more than $3K for the mirror and work, etc. I found an amazing autobody shop that referred my to Harout's and they were able to find the parts I needed for a much cheaper price and they were brand new! The customer service at Harout's was amazing. Not only did they pull the parts right away and have them waiting for me, once I got there, they carefully inspected the parts to make sure they were in good condition. Walt Sharpless (purchased 2000 BMW M5). If able to leave less than 1 star I would. Bought a BMW from Harout's via eBay but wasn't able to leave my buyer feedback there since Chris apparently knew if he delayed addressing my issues beyond 60 days I couldn't leave my feedback there. Regardless, I highly recommend not buying a vehicle from this shop. The video provided in the eBay ad DID NOT represent the vehicle accurately which I relied on being an out of state buyer. I have purchased many vehicles sight unseen over the years which worked out fine since the vehicle descriptions were accurate and honest. Not the case in my experience with Harout's. I went in to ask about a part and price. They were nice enough though I didn't buy anything at that moment as I wanted to check on getting the part installed etc. I went out to my car and I was out of gas in their parking lot. I went back in and asked if they had just enough gas to get me to a station and that I would pay for it. They put some gas in my car, it started right up. I at least wanted to buy Jack and Pedro lunch for helping get the siphon and gas to go into my car. Both refused to take any money and were just happy to help. Now that's customer service! When you come in, don't spend any money, then need help leaving and they won't take payment for the gas or even some money to go have some lunch. Much appreciated. I left Harout's VERY satisfied and thrilled with the parts I got and deal they gave me. Definitely will be going back. I think it was Sam that helped me out. From the curb, you can tell Harout's is a successful operation so I wondered going in if I'd encounter some attitude, high prices or what. It's pretty hit or miss about the personalities and attitudes you'll encounter going to salvage yards. But they got down to business and hooked me up with what I was looking for and it was a great experience. Actually, I wish that I had gone there a day earlier because I drove 50 miles to another yard that quoted me one price over the phone and then changed the prices when I got there. On principal, I refused to deal with the shop and left... frustrated. I wanted those parts! So I decided to hit up a bunch of places in Sun Valley to see if I could find them and that's how I ended up at Harout's! Not only were they a pleasure to deal with, but the parts were $25 cheaper than the QUOTE I had from the far away place -- and $125 cheaper than the jacked up price the other place tried to charge when they pulled their switch on me. It was amazing -- the owner of this OTHER yard was acting like a queen on a throne. Harout's deals with more recent model Mercedes and BMW. They certainly had some great parts. I was drooling over some AMG rims they had set out for another customer. I highly recommend this place based on my first visit. I hope subsequent visits are the same! read more

I rarely write reviews but I was so impressed by Harout's, I want everyone to know about them. We were in Sun Valley looking for a radio for a 1998 MBZ. It was a shot in the dark and we went several places. We were met by unbelievably unhelpful and rude people until we went to Harout's. Harout's not only had the radio, they installed it as well as fixed a back light that had a short. They made it their mission to give us great service but it was their enthusiasm that won me over. Just had a wee bit problem on my 2004 BMW 325ci - I hit a dang pothole in Petaluma (and who doesn't in this town!) and cracked a wheel. Now I have stock wheels, but the car is a bit old and BMW only had something like 14 different wheels that year, and nobody in Northern California had my wheel within 3 days delivery! One guy even tried to sell me a different wheel (idiot!) and a few others tried to sell me a set of 4 new ones (nice try). The dealer was a week out and hundreds and hundreds of dollars. All the while, I'm driving on the donut! Harouts to the rescue. Yes, it took a few hours online to even find these guys, but once we connected, they were swift and efficient and friendly and gave me shipping options, which I needed. One minor hitch the next day (my fault), which they totally handled with ease and grace, and I'm back on the road safely in just a couple of days. These guys are great! Highly recommended!
