Purchased a lash lift from Groupon. I booked online and had no troubles just yet; i was hopeful. I arrived 10 minutes early and the code Melissa emailed me did not work for the door. When she came to finally open the door she made me feel i was bugging her. Anyways I waited about 20 minutes for her to finsh with another client, running through my appointment time. She hardly spoke with you the whole time and it was extremely awkward. Worst of all I've had a lash life before. I have extremely long lashes and I informed her I use a medium rod, although it may seem i need a large. I specifically explained to Melissa why I need a medium rod because I KNOW MY LASHES. She agreed to using the medium rod and continued. When I asked her how the medium rod went, she said, "Oh no I used a large. I wanted to show you." I was in absolute disbelief that Melissa could ignore your input and make me believe she was doing what I asked. If I hadn't asked, she would have never told me. First time having a eyelash perm.....and I hate it. I called, emailed, and texted Melissa to see if there was anything she could do to undo my eye lashes perm!. I even sent her pictures of the horrific job she did... And of course no response. My eyelashes came out differently on each eye. Very unpleased with the experience and now I have to walk around with crazy looking eyelashes. I will never recommend seeing her. I bought a lash perm on Groupon. This is my first Groupon I have ever purchased. I was super excited to get this service done and drove 35 miles. When I arrived for my scheduled appointment that I had made online no one was at the "salon" I also called twice and the voicemail was full. I drove very far to arrive at a locked up salon and nobody available to take my call. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. Total waste of my time. I am so put off I am not going to try to reschedule. $30 in the trash and an hour wasted. First of all, Melissa was VERY difficult to get a hold of over the phone in order to make an appointment for an eyelash perm + tint. After a week of calling, she finally answered and I was able to come in. The day of my appointment, I went in and expected to come out with beautifully curled natural-looking lashes and I was rather upset when I looked in my car mirror afterwards and saw crinkly, sticky, straight lashes. Throughout the appointment, I felt as if I were a hindrance in her day. She didn't mention her process, what she was putting on my lashes, and did not put much effort into her customer service. Mind you, she would have forgotten to give me the tint if I hadn't reminded her. The result of my lashes after washing my face later at night were that my lashes were still sticky and now with cotton from my face towel sticking to them as well as to my eyelids. They were inconsistently wavy/straight and clustered due to whatever she didn't thoroughly wipe off. Now I'm left with crazy looking lashes for my professional pictures this weekend, so my advice: DO NOT GO TO HARO SKIN. read more

I purchased a Groupon. Three facials for $100.00. It's my belief that if someone is going through Groupon they are looking to build clientele. Therefore, you do your best service, best effort to bring in those new clients that you received from Groupon and keep them. Obviously, I will not be back. My 1st facial she was still at the location off Fort Lowell. The salon has seen better days. I was 15 minutes early and the salon was locked. Melissa showed up at 2 minutes prior to my appointment, let me in and began setting up so by the time she actually called me back it was 5 minutes after. She had a very difficult time with her "steam facial apparatus" and the wand burst out a huge splash of hot water as she was directing it toward my face. The facial is very, very basic and the massage is almost nothing. Melissa doesn't move in a calming manner on your face but rather in a fast motion. You actually spend most of your time alone, with either the steamer blowing on your face or your eyes covered. Normally when I receive a facial, my hair is a mess but not with Melissa. She barely covers your face and doesn't do your neck, chest or anything more than your face. She lies you down on a facial table and covers you with a towel. It's the weirdest thing ever. You are fully dressed and covered with a towel. On my second facial, she text to confirm the day before. Again, I arrive 15 minutes early and the salon is locked. At 2 minutes to my appointment I text her and she states she's there. I tell her the salon is locked and she says she moved to the Country club location. So by the time I drive over there and get settled my appointment starts a half hour late. What a waste of time, especially when I work and all this is wasted time. The new location is much nicer (in my opinion) but she has the same equipment and the wand now has some white medical tape on it with a Qtip to disperse the flow of steam. Same boring facial with a lot of down time where you are just lying there and nothing is happening. Normally, when I'm being steamed, the technician will rub my arms or feet, or give me a head massage. Not here. Facial number 3, I confirmed with her 24 hours before. Two minutes to the appointment time I text her and she tells me she is running late with traffic and will be right there. I'm early for my appointments and I expect the person seeing me to be on time. I made it to the appointment and there was very little traffic so she must think I'm stupid. She is 20 minutes late. I am eaten by mosquito's waiting out front for her. She arrives in work out clothes with her hair piled on her head and sweaty like she was just working out. Unbelievable. Poor skills as a skin care specialist, poor business management, poor communications. This is not a way to gain clients and I won't be back. read more

I've always wanted to try a lash perm so I purchased a perm session through Groupon as it was such a great deal. The salon was fairly easy to find. Melissa was very nice. The salon was nicely decorated though the cleanliness left a little bit to be desired. The other ladies working in the salon were also very nice. THAT BEING SAID - I was very disappointed with the lash perm itself. Melissa used SCOTCH TAPE (yes that scotch tape) to protect my lower lashes. My right eyelashes were okay. My left eyelashes were not so lucky. Several were not permed at all. Several more were actually curled toward my eye. The curl on both eyes were more kink than curl. I also had the lashes tinted. The tint didn't last long at all - less than a week. The perm lasted only about 3-4 weeks. I have since had to cut my eyelashes as well as pull some out just to make them look decent. The Scotch tape left a small cut under my eye & alot of irritation. As nice as Melissa was, I will not go back to her. read more

DO NOT GET AN EYELASH PERM HERE!!! I purchased through Groupon and got a perm/tint. I had never done this before and was looking for extensions, for some reason I thought a perm was "permanent lashes" because I didn't know lashes could be permed. As she's preparing me, I tell her I've never gotten extensions and ask her the care taking for it. She's answering my questions knowing full well I think I'm getting extensions. At the end of the perm, she says "okay your perm is just about done, this just pulls your natural lashes up and gives them a nice curl." For 3 months after she permed my lashes, they were like short crinkle cut fries. I had to wear fake lashes and they still looked terrible. read more

I purchased a Groupon for an eyelash perm & tint. To start off the office looked nice and clean, but when I got to Melissa's chair, it wasn't even covered with a cloth or throwaway paper. Stressed out because this is being done on my eyes, I was worried that she left the room so much. 1st time she left for 10 min W/ no music or checking in on me. I was getting worried because there is perm solution on my eyes. Then she comes in a does something with the drawer & then leaves again. If something was hurting I would need to yell for her to come in. I had no clue where she was located. This happened a couple more times. I told her my eyes were itching & burning & she said "be patient." After all this my lashes were barely lifted. So I waited 2 more days to write this to see how the final product turned out & my lashes are totally like before I went in...No curl. Bottom line, I felt like Melissa didn't care and the outcome was poor. read more

My advice to others is to stay away from Melissa Haro's skincare business. After purchasing a 99.00 package for 3 facials(gee what a deal) she cancelled appointments with me without calling to reschedule numerous times..Finally,I simply asked for my money back as there seemed to be a communication problem. I waited and waited for the amount to show up in my account. After several weeks I reached her and her excuse was that because it had been more then 30 days her bank wouldn't allow her to reverse the charges. I offered to go to her place of business but she had left the Campbell and Ft. Lowell location. For the second time she ,agreed to pay me back,this time in cash, But she never showed up.at her new location on Country Club. Then my bank intervened and called her. She refused to credit my account.She has never once acted in good faith ,has never made contact with meto do what she promised numerous times.Which is to refund me for a service she acts very sneaky and evasive about. I find this behavior unethical and so irresponsible. Of course I'll file a complaint against her with the state board of cosmopalogy...I advise anyone against having her use her steam facial apparatus wand.The time she used it on my skin, she had the wand turned in the direction up my nostrils and the wand or the water was dirty because a few hours later I developed a painful pimple inside my nostril.
