It seemed like it was a workout studio where the…read morewomen would be very snooty and unfriendly (country club-esque), which is exactly the opposite of what we discovered. We took our first class on the 3 year anniversary of the studio here so the class was only $3 and we weren't committing to anything further than just the one class. On that same day, they were offering a new client special which was significantly cheaper than we expected, so after our first class of being encouraged by our instructor, Ashleigh (she's fabulous), and bumbling through the workout (it was very intense), we signed up for a 5 week package. Our experience since then has been wonderful. Everyone is super friendly, and the instructors have been patient and encouraging along our journey thus far in "embracing the shakes". When someone tells you that Pure Barre is basically ballet, they couldn't be more wrong. It's 55 minutes of intense working out that fatigues the muscles in your arms, thighs, seat (yes, they call your backside your seat, which is kind of cute), and abs to the point that they begin to shake, and not just where you can tell yourself, they visibly shake. There are participants of all shapes, sizes and ages, and we have already seen results in how much stronger we are, and I, personally, have lost a few pounds and inches in just around 2 months of going to the classes. All of that said, try it out, you just might like it!
