She asked me where all I was concerned about. I told her I wanted my lower belly fat gone, and the fat under my butt to be less so my butt would stick out more. She said that the "banana roll" is what they call the under the butt fat, and mine is muscular. No need to coolsculpt there, she said. I did sign up for coolsculpting my lower belly fat tho. Best decision I've made this decade. My lower belly fat is significantly less fat looking than it used to be. I'm 200 pounds, but my belly looks like it did when I was 140 pounds. I highly recommend this service. While coolsculpting, I decided I wanted to talk to someone about my acne scars. Bri brought in Amanda, who recommended microneedling for my old acne scars. I'm here for my second round of microneedling today. It hurts a little, kind of similar to getting waxed in that it hurts for a little while but has great benefits that outweigh the pain. It feels like a deep exfoliation. She uses a pen looking thing to stab me a bunch of times with a bunch of little microneedles! She numbs my skin prior to the treatment. The hardest part is not wearing makeup for 2-3 days after microneedling. I have already seen a reduction in my wrinkles. I hope to see more of a reduction in my acne scars after this session. Amanda said sometimes it takes two sessions to see results. I paid for 3 up front. You get a deal by paying for your sessions all at once instead of one at a time. This place has a lovely atmosphere. I went to Koniver Aesthetics for AviClear laser treatments. I had been suffering from acne for over a decade and I was told this would "cure it", or I would get my money back. I was also informed that it would take up to a year to see the results. After a year my skin was still terrible. At this time I was told by Koniver Aesthetics that it could NOW possibly take a year and a half. Obviously this was upsetting, but I waited. Around 18 months after the procedures my skin seemed to be worse than ever. I was livid. I reached out to their team and I was simply told there was nothing that could be done. I wanted to get on social media and write bad reviews for the establishment everywhere I could possibly find. Though, I was so depressed I didn't even have the motivation to do that. So why am I speaking out now? Well, I was wrong when I initially thought my skin was worse than ever. I spent thousands of dollars and waited 2 years to see results. My skin never improved, in fact I am pretty sure in the last couple of weeks I have reached the pinnacle of disgust with the state of my skin. We also added in some filler in my chin for facial balancing. We did not end up using all of the filler so we saved it and I scheduled a two week follow up appointment. At that next appointment we did add a tiny bit of filler but I didn't need much. The filler has made such a natural but noticeable improvement to my face shape. I was told that the services that I selected were only available at their Downtown Charleston location so I made the two hour drive. When I arrived for my first scheduled appointment, I was turned away because no one had told me how I needed to prepare for the services. I did have a consultation appointment yet none of the pre-appointment information was provided or shared. Even the provider at the Charleston was surprised which didn't instill any confidence in this first-time customer. I made it known to their management that I wasn't happy to have wasted half of a day traveling back and forth to not have had anything done and they did apologize. A few weeks later, I arrived for a Botox appointment to the Hilton Head Island location. Not only was the provider 15 minutes late but I was told they could not access the product because no one had the keys to the refrigerator. The owner could not access the refrigerator! I was asked to leave and come back later. The follow-up response was a casual "sorry" text accompanied by a smiley face. After sending an email to both owners, I did receive an emailed response and a text message response asking me to call them. Umm, no. I am the customer and you have all of my contact information - you can call me to provide an appropriate apology. No one did. These are invasive, aesthetic services, and patients should be able to expect professionalism, communication and respect for their time. Instead, I experienced repeated disorganization, inadequate communication and a stunning lack of concern about the inconvenience they caused. If this is how Totality MediSpa treats someone chosen to represent one of its own promotions, I would have serious concerns about recommending this business to anyone.
