I don't think I ever had a true vacation until last night. Arriving late last night as a very weary traveller, I was oblivious to most everything in this beautiful Bed and Breakfast. My body,mind and soul seemed to need one thing, rest. I took a warm shower and then climbed into a bed that is so comfy, I would have thought only royalty were allowed to sleep in. This morning I awakened, and felt a peace that is truly beyond words. I finally understood the word vacation. It was the feeling of complete satisfaction in the moment, I didn't need to do anything, go anywhere, I was simply amazingly happy resting in bed, listening to the birds, taking in each breath. It actually took me at least an hour to get out of bed and I feel the glow of rest all over my body. In my 56 years, I've traveled literally around the globe and never experienced the simplicity of being in harmony, of taking time to recharge. It was always about running around trying to have fun.
