The school has added a brand new auditorium in that time frame among other additions. The staff has always been welcoming, inviting and accessible when I have had any dealings with the school. Great office staff who know the answers to all questions ever asked. Great notifications of activities going on at the school. Teachers are amazing and really care about the children they are entrusted to teach.

Let me tell you what that means to the visitors, no concessions no water, food or anything else. I don't have kids in school anymore, I just enjoy going to the games. What a turnoff this was to me.

It's a wonderful…read moreschool with lots of really good teachers who all seem to actually care - with the exception of one math teacher with a vicious southern accent, who should be a southern belle rather than a teacher. Their music and band programs are top-notch, run by a wonderful group of teachers and assistants. Their ACAD and business academy are very cool educational alternatives, offering the chance to become Adobe or Office certified before you leave high school. The Dental program is also kick-butt, where you could theoretically graduate and become a dental hygienist right out of high school. Very forward-thinking opportunities here. Now the downsides. Their auditorium is lackluster and resembles a bad 70s memory. The stage is small, seating is limited (and extremely uncomfortable), and the design is non-stadium. Bayside High and even freakin' Eau Gallie have GORGEOUS auditoriums! Viera? Very lame. The football stadium is all metal seating and disappointing also, especially after visiting Melbourne, Cocoa, Cocoa Beach, and even Palm Bay. The stadium sound system sucks too. You can avoid the football parking fees by parking behind the school board building. All in all, it's a decent school. It's got its share of problem children, like all schools do, but Viera seems to have things under control.
