Five stars for this five star school!
This past week was the first week of classes for kids in Orange County, FL, and I have to say that so far I am impressed with my daughter's new school. It is a A grade, five star school (there's posters EVERYWHERE telling you so) and the teachers and staff are all really great so far.
The Good:
Caring Teachers and Staff: Even before we registered, the staff here went above and beyond to make my daughter's transfer here a smooth transition. There were a few speedbumps, including a rather unique school records issue, but we got it all worked out and they were able to get my daughter registered and in a classroom just in time. My daughter's teacher is a very nice lady who is a very strong communicator, and caters to my daughter's specific needs. She even lets her read to the class!
Easy to navigate: One of my biggest issues with my daughter's old school was that the hallways were like a labyrinth and the place was pretty hard to get around. Hunter's Creek elementary is ridiculously easy to get around, and pluss it's all outside. Yay for sunshine!
The Bad:

Of course the school year just started, and it takes more than a week to fully appreciate a new school. But our experience so far has been great, and in my book first impressions count for a lot!
