Started off with the a few drinks and some oysters of course. My favorite oysters were the high water oysters. Ordered a few different main dishes. Tried the fish and chips, clam chowder, and black cod. All were so incredibly delicious, but my absolute favorite was the clam chowder. Literally best I've ever had hands down. It was fresh tasting, not too fishy and not too thick like some chowders are. I'm still dreaming of it to this day! Can't wait to come back just to have that again. I will say the service was not the best, our server was giving attitude and we couldn't leave for a while since he didn't check back for a while and we had to search him down which was disappointing. But the food made up for the service.

Plenty of seafood protein with the chowder and the mussels. Presentation was pretty. 3. Restaurant has a cute ambiance Cons: - the chowder needed more flavor. It was a very thin broth which may be some people's preferred chowder but I like my chowder to be thicker, more developed, and hearty. This was thinner, light, and less flavorful. 2. The pasta with the mussles was a lil weird. I don't know i was expecting the dish to be more refined for the price point. The flavor was not bad but needed some freshness or more broth to make it more filling. 3. No free bread. You pay for the bread and it's not even fresh. It was pretty tough and almost stale. I would come again but just focus on ordering oysters.

Born and Raised in Pleasanton, lived in Livermore for past 25 years - see this place all the time but never went. Why - because the sign does not say Burger and Steaks.... But I saw a picture of the Onion Rings and that was the hook... so finally went and to be a good sport I ordered the 1 fish and 5 shrimp meal and Onions Rings. Let's get it over with the Onion Rings were amazing - the batter was light, not doughy ad the onions tender. I bet you want to see how I rate the fish..... So I ordered the Fish and Shrimp - and I'm not going to lie - 1) they were clearly fresh and not packaged processed bits. I'm down with Shrimp and these were amazing. Big, butterflied, tender and NOT rubbery and the batter was perfect consistency. Blind folded I may not have guessed immediately the fish was fish. 90% of the time cooked fish taste... well... fishy. This fish log was very light, flaky white fish that did not taste "fishy" and battered perfectly Several other reviews noted how clean it was... I wanted to challenge this but it is true. For a very small place that fries in oil all day you might expect sings of residue or grime. Nope - It was Very Very Clean. I have also wondered how a business like this can last for well probably longer than I've been alive which is a long time... in our time there there was a steady stream of seated customers and take out orders.... Probably people that would not normally say they do not like cooked fish.... The staff were super nice and gracious and helped with refills on drinks. Now I'm very curious on their Jalapeño and Zucchini appetizers that also look freshly house made. Thank you for the pleasant meal and making a cooked fish hater enjoy his meal of "cooked fish". Everything was great. Prices are also quite fair.

I didn't even realize this is a Michelin star restaurant but I'm not surprised. It's a casual spot where you can buy seafood to cook at home (the market) or prepared from the Eatery. The prices are reasonable considering how expensive seafood is these days, and they have a great selection of fresh and prepared seafood available. On this visit, I opted for the Knuckle Sandwich, a Dungeness crab sandwich with bacon and other toppings. The chips and Coleslaw are a nice side, I enjoyed the entire meal and it was more than enough to fill me up. They also have beers on draft, and several other drinks available. The casual open seating and atmosphere is what I appreciate about this location, while the food is amazing it feels approachable and enjoyable to dine in. Look forward to my next visit when I'm in the area.

The chowder was chock full of lobster. We ordered, were given a number to put on our table and it was brought to us. The only glitch was the lobster roll was cold instead of hot. There wasn't much parking, we had to walk several blocks in an industrial development.

We had a bottle of rosé for the night and the food items we ordered were plenty for both of us and to take home. Received a complimentary tomato gazpacho from the chef while we waited for our meals to be brought out. I recommend the outdoor seating for the best views. The live music inside was also a nice touch. Food ordered: - 1/2 dozen blue point oysters - Sofia's parmigiana w/a side of spaghetti pasta - Linguine tutto mare - roasted zucchini w/balasamic glaze

I specifically ordered a Bulleit old fashioned and instead I received an old fashioned with house bourbon and applewood smoke. Not only was it not what I ordered but it wasn't very good! We were ready to sit at our table and I told the bartender we were moving to our table. He told us to close out before we leave the bar. I've never been asked this before at a fine dining restaurant. I've always had the bartender bring our drinks to our table and add the drinks to our bill. This wasn't a big deal but I expect better service at a place like this. Once at the table our server was great. He explained all the menu items and specials and was very patient with us as we decided what to order. We settled on the chicken parm with linguini and short rib filled ravioli. The chicken parm was great! The pasta wasn't. The texture and flavor of their fresh pasta was very underwhelming. The ravioli was good but the short rib filling was blended and mushy which I didn't like. There were a few other issues with the service. When our food came they hadn't clears the other plates on the table from the bread which we had to pick up and move. They also didn't set the plate with the chicken correctly on the table and had the chicken farthest from the seat. Little things that would be ignored at less expensive restaurants but if I'm paying ridiculous prices I expect ridiculously great service. I don't eat at fine dining restaurants often and if I'm spending a lot of money it better be a great experience that creates a lasting memory. The Grandview failed in that regard. I wouldn't recommend going here, in fact I told my colleagues not to go here either.

**Updated review** I…read morebooked my reservation through SF Restaurant Week's official website and was excited to finally try this place. Upon arrival, we were greeted and seated right away, which was a great start. However, things took a turn when our server handed us the regular menu without mentioning the SF Restaurant Week menu. When I asked about it, the staff member I spoke to claimed they weren't notified that they were participating. How is that possible when the restaurant was listed on the official website and we booked our reservation through it? SF Restaurant Week is a well known event, and participating restaurants usually share their menus online. I even checked Yelp and found only one photo related, which made me suspect they were trying to avoid offering the prix-fixe menu to maximize profits. Their excuse? "They weren't notified in time to create a menu." That's frustrating and misleading, especially since the event details had been public for two weeks+ meaning they should have been aware well in advance. If they weren't prepared, they shouldn't have signed up. That aside, we decided to stay and order from the regular menu. Unfortunately, our food took a long time to arrive. We ended up filling up on bread and soup while waiting. To make things worse, two other tables - a small party and a larger group that arrived after us, received most of their food before we received one dish. Food Review: * Mixed Crudo - The halibut was the best part- succulent, slightly sweet, and of course, there were only four pieces. The scallops, on the other hand, were overpowered by coarse salt, making them way too salty. The salmon was pretty standard. * Dungeness Crab Linguine - Decent, but not memorable. There wasn't much crab or sauce, so I probably wouldn't order it again. * Crab Chowder - Delicious, but the portion was misleading. The bowl was super shallow, making it look like there was more than there actually was--probably the same amount as a cup. * Branzino - Fantastic! The skin was perfectly crispy, and the side of broccolini was a great touch.

In addition, each piece was surprisingly FRESH and you can tell. If it was frozen prior, then you sure did a great job making it taste as if you just caught it from the ocean. The fish was falling apart and thick slices/fillets, the shrimp was bouncy and the fries were thicc. The batter was light and there were no air gaps and it was not greasy at all (someone is a pro at the oil temperature I see you) I've never been defeated by a plate of food before but I do dare say it was almost too much for me. A good friend of mine and decided to spend the $8.50 to cross the bridge and head into San Francisco for fish and chips. I ordered a two piece fish with fries and my buddy did the same. He thought two might be enough and almost bought a three piece. He is glad he didn't. The fish were good sized, had a nice crunch to the batter, tasty batter, tender, flakey and fresh. The fries were the best ever. Nice and crunchy on the outside, soft in the middle and you could taste the potato. Fresh fries fried perfectly. I didn't get around to writing a review after my first visit and I took another friend recently. The fish and chips were just as good the second time around. If you are in the City and want some excellent fish and chips you have to hit The Codmother.
