I interviewed several realtors, and found Jeannie to be one of the only realtors who impressed me with her organization, reliability, experience, and initial thoughts about selling my house. The other great quality is that she is still laid back, and really personable. I found Jeannie randomly and called her out of the blue because I saw her sign in front of a couple of houses in my neighborhood that had recently sold. Jeannie met with me initially and answered several questions I had about what services she would provide to me as a seller's agent for my home and as my buyer's agent. She was very knowledgeable about the neighborhoods I was looking at (central and east austin), and was super flexible and available to show me houses when I was available. Two things that most impressed me about Jeannie is that she was a tough negotiator, and was super helpful in guiding me on repairs that were going to need to be done to my new home. Throughout the whole process, Tanya made herself available any time of day/night (we have small children). She was extremely responsive to all of our questions/requests whether it was via phone/e-mail/text and was always patient with us. There are a lot of highs and lows during a house search and Tanya was good at bringing us off of the lows and providing viable alternatives when things were not working out. Buyer Side On the buyer side, she patiently helped us find exactly what we wanted. We originally intended to build a new home in southwest Austin. She was very knowledgeable of the builders in the area and warned us on certain builders that have given other buyers problems. After several site visits to builders in our target area, it became clear we were not going to get absolutely everything we wanted on our list. Tanya helped us not get frustrated and instead provided viable alternatives. After even more home visits, we eventually found a listing for a house that looked like it met ALL of our requirements. Tanya very quickly got a visit scheduled and it was the house of our dreams. She quickly drafted an offer and provided advice on how to approach a multiple offer situation. Unfortunately, the seller's realtor failed to tell us they had already accepted an offer that day. Tanya broke the bad news to us but already had a list of things we should do in case the offer fell through. I personally had already given up hope, but because of Tanya's persistence, we continued down the trail of being prepared if the first offer fell through. Sure enough, we get a call from Tanya a few days later saying the offer fell through and she had a revised offer drafted in lightning speed to submit again. She again provided very helpful advice on how to structure our offer to show the seller we were serious buyers. She also encouraged us to write a letter to the sellers (which we did) so they could get to know a little bit about the family who would be taking their home into its next chapter. In the end, they accepted our offer over the others. We are convinced that Tanya's stellar advice are what differentiated us from other offers. From there, Tanya really took care of everything and just let us know when she needed something from us. She let us be as hands-on or hands-off as we wanted throughout the process, even going to meet various vendors at the new house when we could not make it. I know there were a lot of tedious things to do to close but Tanya coordinated it all and made it easy on us. Closing was eventless as you want it to be and it was due to all the work Tanya put in before that. Seller Side Tanya made the selling side even easier. She did all the research to find the right price point. Tanya recommended and brought in an amazing photographer and prepped the house for pictures. I was blown away by the listing and I would have put an offer on it if it weren't already my house. The day after the listing went up, we had at least four offers. After a little back and forth, we accepted an offer over asking price. Tanya again did all the heavy lifting after that and coordinated requests from the buyer and their realtor. All we had to do was fill out a few forms, show up for closing, and cash the check!
