"Harmonium Cool offers spiritual music on the harmonium for young hearts!"
While Gen Alpha may not yet realize the transformative power of spiritual music, we strive to ignite their love for this tradition they'll value with age.
Led by a certified Bhajan artist from All India Radio with 8 years of teaching harmonium music lessons in the Bay Area, we operate from a cozy home setup. We challenge the notion that harmoniums are uncool among Gen Alpha by blending elements of Indian classical and Western music while connecting them to Indian culture through the harmonium.

History
Established in 2016.
My journey began at a temple during Janmashtami, a cherished festival for Indians. I overheard a group discussing their wish for harmonium classes for kids to learn spiritual music. I volunteered, and that's how 'Harmonium Cool' was born.
Starting with Sunday classes, the word quickly spread, and soon I had many eager parents who wanted their kids to learn this Indian instrument, the Harmonium. Watching these kids grow into talented teens, some of whom now perform kirtans, has been incredibly rewarding. Thanks to the growing interest, I’m excited to announce that I am now offering harmonium classes in Fremont on weekday evenings.
At 'Harmonium Cool,' we aim to break the notion that harmoniums are uncool among Gen Alpha. They may not yet realize the transformative power of spiritual music, but we strive to ignite their love for this tradition, which they'll value with age.

Meet the Business Owner: Ankita A.
Welcome to 'Harmonium Cool'! Let me share a bit about my musical journey. Born into a musically immersed family, my grandfather founded 'Sri Krishna Sangeet Mahavidhyala' in Moradabad in 1933. He passed his passion for classical music to my mother, who then passed it to me. However, like any child, I wasn't initially keen on learning from her, so I pursued Indian classical vocals under Guru Shri. Bhagwati Sharan Aacharya.
Learning the harmonium became essential during 'no electricity' days, practicing by candlelight. I later became a certified Bhajan Artist at All India Radio and reached the top 250 in 'The Voice of India' contest. After moving to the USA, I've spent the past eight years enriching kids' lives with music at the Sri Krishna Balaram Temple in the Bay Area. I was also a Radio Jockey on AIR FM Rainbow (Delhi) & Radio Zindagi (Bay Area).
