I noticed a difference from the very first session. David is amazing at helping relive pain and helping you to work towards longer term solutions. He takes every care in making sure you are understanding what he's doing and why. He never rushes you out or make you feel as if you are an inconvenience, like many people can do. I highly recommend visiting Soma, even if you just have headaches occasionally or a small back pain that you think will just go away on it's own. It could be a part of something larger and better to get it dealt with. I receive therapeutic massages form Claire - and am all the better for it. She works in conjunction with my Osteopath sessions and we ensure that each session helps me to reach my ultimate goals to improve various muscles and long term trauma. My last session alone has given me full range of motion in my neck again. She has a great personality and is very skilled at what she does, often sending you away with things you can do on your own to continue improving. All of the staff are extremely friendly, helpful and are willing to go that extra step to make sure your visits are comfortable and suited to your needs.

She makes you feel very comfortable while she works, communicating with you about what she's finding and what is often the cause for that particular imbalance/etc. I've been seeing Clotilde on and off for years. I first went to her about a specific problem in relation to my neck. She gently worked with my joints/muscles/spine/pelvis and gave me a few stretches and exercises to work on. After only just a couple of sessions with her, I've been fine ever since. I saw her recently about pregnancy related pain. She has quite a lot of experience working with pregnant women and made sure the whole time that the bump and I were comfortable and supported while she worked. I left feeling quite a bit better with with firm instructions to NOT CROSS MY LEGS. I love practitioners who give you advice and exercises to ensure that the pain doesn't come back - in doing so they're actually creating a situation where you don't need to visit them repeatedly and it means that they're more interested in helping you to get better than making money.

Booking a class online has…read morealways been tremendously easy; showing up and checking-in for a class has always been welcoming and friendly and hassle-free; and, their space in New Town is just lovely. I've taken the candlelit restorative class a few times now, and it's always been such a pleasurable experience. The twinkly lights in the ceiling are a touch of magic, the literal and metaphorical warmth of the room is just right (I'm a girl who runs hot, and sometimes yoga studios just overdo it with the blasting heat), the atmospheric background music brings it all together - truly, it's immersive. I've had a couple different instructors, all bringing their own personal touches. Sometimes there's (optional/consensual) hands-on/reiki offered too! I miss this studio when I'm not in the city, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit!
