Clotilde Chereau
(1 review)
Clotilde operates out of Napiers Clinic, Bristo Square as well as SOMA Osteopathy down in Leith…read more She is fantastic. She makes you feel very comfortable while she works, communicating with you about what she's finding and what is often the cause for that particular imbalance/etc. I've been seeing Clotilde on and off for years. I first went to her about a specific problem in relation to my neck. She gently worked with my joints/muscles/spine/pelvis and gave me a few stretches and exercises to work on. After only just a couple of sessions with her, I've been fine ever since. I saw her recently about pregnancy related pain. She has quite a lot of experience working with pregnant women and made sure the whole time that the bump and I were comfortable and supported while she worked. I left feeling quite a bit better with with firm instructions to NOT CROSS MY LEGS. I love practitioners who give you advice and exercises to ensure that the pain doesn't come back - in doing so they're actually creating a situation where you don't need to visit them repeatedly and it means that they're more interested in helping you to get better than making money.
Harmonic Osteopathy
I was very impressed with the set up, knowledge, and treatment that Robbie administered. I've…read moresuffered with lower back problems for many years, and been to see various osteopaths and chiropractors but to no avail. Harmonic was recommended by a colleague, and after the initial consultation, it was clear that this was something different. My back is as good as new, and I haven't been troubled for some time. Robbie recommended monthly appointments, and to be free from pain, this is a price worth paying. Sore back...? Give this guy a go.

Using rhythmic oscillatory movements we unlock habitual tensions to relieve pain and restore normal movement. It is osteopathy without the need for loud cracks or pops. . Passive motion, such as is used in harmonic techniques, is clinically proven to facilitate recovery from injury, improve healing and resolve pain. It is the number one clinical tool in the treatment of different musculoskeletal conditions.

Newington Surgery

In Fresher's Week we were virtually forced to sign up to the local Newington Surgery and most of us…read morewere thanking this within a matter of weeks when we came down with the notorious 'Fresher's Flu'. I thankfully evaded it, but around October time this place was swarming with red-nosed, pale-faced students and the doctors coped with it well. I did have to come here when I hurt my shoulder playing rugby. I was seen to by a particularly attractive and young GP who was very attentive. She also gave me plenty of helpful advice on how to recover and avoid future injury. The secretarial staff are also really friendly and there are plenty of informative pamphlets to read through as you wait. Definitely worth being signed up to them if you're a local student or resident.
I rang the surgery recently after the doctor here was recommended to me by a friend. It was obvious…read morethey don't want any new patients at the moment. They strongly advised that I go to a bigger GP surgery so it sounds like it is very understaffed.
