I love Thai massages. In fact I prefer them to "relaxing" or "standard " massages. First off I…read moredon't go get a massage if it's not to work some serious knots out ... I have a husband for relaxing massage. 2nd if you have never had a Thai massage you don't know what you are missing! Start with the Thai oil massage so it's not too much too fast. They really focus on your pressure points and stretch you out! It's relaxing with a bit of pain- but the good kind of pain- where you know your body will be grateful later. It's like deep tissue massages cousin that's cooler. A traditional Thai massage is not for the faint of heart but once again amazing if you have major knots! They basically do yoga with your body for you pulling you this way stretching you that and ya they walk/crawl on your back! By the end of either the traditional or the oil Thai massage you will be awake and your body thanking you for finally putting it back in the right places.. it might even pop a lot to communicate that ! Ha Go and get one! Your body deserves it!

Here's the most important thing - two hours of massage for £60…read more I'll be honest, I giggled at the name when looking for a massage therapist who would/could work on a pregnant woman. But then a girl in my antenatal class mentioned that she had gotten a massage here and how fabulous it was. With that testimonial to mind, I booked an appointment. As said before, the price is incredible for what it is. Anne works out of her home, is trained in massage but has also trained as a nurse and worked as a midwife (according to her website). She is lovely and puts you at ease right away, but also knows a *lot* about pregnant bodies and how to make them comfortable (a serious feat). Once you're thoroughly entombed in various pillows and supports, she massages one side at a time for 45 minutes each side. I'm not one for sleeping during a massage but MAN was it hard not to drift off while she was working. I actually didn't want to because it was so amazing I didn't want to sleep through it. For the final 30 minutes of the 2 hours, you sit in a comfy chair and can choose what you want her to do - she can do head, hands, feet, belly, etc. I walked away thoroughly pummeled and relaxed. When you're heavily pregnant the extra weight you're carrying in the front is SO hard on your back, hips and legs and having these aches and pains worked out was so amazing I can't even describe it. She doesn't just work on pregnant women (though I think there's a possibility she may only massage women) so I would definitely recommend her to anyone. I've already referred several pregnant women to her and they've all come away feeling blissful.

Spent a fabulous 2 hours with Mariota yesterday getting a full body massage. If you've never had a…read morefull body massage before.. definitely give it a go, it's such a treat! Having someone massage your legs might sound daunting, but it's really quite relaxing once you get past any awkwardness/shyness you might have. We had a good discussion about how my body was feeling and she did a great job on my shoulder blades which have really been bothering me since an injury a couple of months ago. She's up for a chat if that's your thing.. but seems to know when you're just drifting off and leaves you to relax. M massage has a selection of oils which is still making my skin feel fantastic! Mariota is super laid back and really put me at ease from the moment I arrived. Even Fergus (the dog) gave me a warm welcome! {if you are not a dog person, I'm sure M can make sure he's in another room when you arrive!} At the end of my massage, it was lovely to just lie for a few minutes while M went to make me a cup of tea (AND home baking!). Often I feel like I'm rushed out of a studio at the end of a session and there's none of that here. I took my time getting dressed, eating cake & drinking tea before emerging from the lovely massage room. Will def be back!
