Caveat: We are still working on my front yard landscaping project but I am confident that I can…read moretrust Solomon to come through for me. So how can I rate Solomon's company before completion? Because he has promised me 100% satisfaction guaranteed and is fulfilling that promise as he continues to return to my job based on my concerns. Here is the scoop: Solomon thought of and installed a truly unique design that used minimal artificial grass narrowly spaced between irregular pavers to match our current driveway and sidewalk. This was such a great way to bring green yet look NATURAL. A master gardener friend of mine just asked me today, "is that real grass?" because it looked so natural. A++ Solomon! AND his crew is so nice and focused. They adjusted everything to be just right which was really tough with needing to cut the grass turf to fit the irregular pavers! On the other side of the sidewalk, Solomon also created a lovely design. We did not want a bunch of artificial grass. We wanted a drought tolerant landscape with drips to the plantings. He suggested a rock "river" and after assuring me it would not look like a Japanese manicured stream and would not be too long and overbearing, I agreed. I really love it. Photos to follow after I take them. As one of the other reviewers mentioned, we did have a few communication lags around the project timing. But whereas my husband was worried about the timing, I did not mind so much as I really trusted (AND TRUST) Solomon's word even if I needed to remind him a few times just to let me know when more progress was expected. One issue we have run into is the invasion of Bermuda grass in the new planting area. They probably should have solarized the soil before planting so ask about this if dealing with soil that is possibly contaminated with aggressive weeds. Bermuda Grass is almost impossible to eradicate. That said, Solomon is partnering me on a solution. He has already sent his team out twice to pull and spray at my request. We are about to get even more aggressive in finding a longer lasting solution so he doesn't have to keep sending his crew out every month. Anyone who knows Bermuda Grass gets it, right? ugh! I will keep you posted and update this review as Solomon and I work together over the next 2 months. (if you have a Bermuda Grass problem, the best time to eradicate it is in the summer. I can send you my plan if you message me here.) I am so satisfied with Solomon's work, crew and personality that I am going to host an "Open Yard" so people can stop by and ask him questions. Stay tuned!

The crew arrived early every day and worked extremely hard to meet the project timeline, even with all the recent rain. Solomon is very responsive, professional, and truly the best contractor I've ever worked with on any home project. I highly recommend him for any landscape work!

We ran into some difficulties at the start due to a last-minute cancellation by Matt and some unresponsiveness through email. When we voiced our concerns, Matt really stepped up to ensure our concerns were met. He immediately refunded us for the cost of the service, and he offered to meet with us at no cost. We ended up taking a 30 minute video chat with him, and Matt was super helpful in explaining various options. When we realized that his typical project scope was a bit bigger than what we wanted to spend, Matt was very gracious in connecting us with other contractors and designers. Despite the early hiccups, we got the sense that Matt is a genuine guy who is more interested in doing the right thing rather than making quick buck. We really appreciate his thoughtfulness, and we will definitely consider engaging with his services again in the future!

The virtual call was perfect for our project, we provided Matt with pictures of the backyard space as well as a video walkthrough. He took this information as well as our preferences for how we envisioned the space to be used to come up with a 2D design. He also recommended materials and local contractors. We contacted one of the contractors a few weeks later and finished the project with them in about 2 months. I highly recommend the Virtual Consultation for smaller projects with Matt. His feedback for our questions and experience with similar projects were very beneficial to starting this backyard project for us.

I had 400 rose bushes, organic apple orchard and organic veggies--Dave was so key in helping our landscape evolve. His work is beyond creative. He really sees things in nature and landscape others miss. Dave is very knowledgable. He really knows his landscape. He is great to work with and such a great guy. I love, love, working with him. Dave even became a close personal friend because he taught me so much about plant species, gardening, planting, pruning, tree trimming, fertilizing. Dave can do anything. He was exceptional. I called several landscapers that I found online. They all asked me what I wanted, and I told them I wanted their ideas about improving the yard; all but one said they could plant more plants like we already had. Earth Arts by David Wetzler was the only one who spent time evaluating our yard and came up with a beautiful and artistic plan to renovate our landscape. Dave is very passionate about his work and has incredible knowledge about plants, and with his vision he transforms the landscape into art. He used many unique and bizarre plants, rocks, driftwood and lighting that encompass the unique feel and look of the landscape. Dave is a man with an artistic vision, knowledge of plants and is passionate about what he does. We are extremely pleased with Dave's work and highly recommend Earth Arts, whether your landscape is large or small Dave will turn it into art and you'll have years of enjoyment and many compliments from friends and neighbors. Their team did a fantastic job, reasonable expense, worked hard over the course of a week, and we ended up with a drainage system that resolved a major standing water issue we had dealt with during some of the atmospheric rivers. One year later, Frank Robles with Pazmany helped us do a big project in our front yard, where we shrank our large circle driveway, added a fence, gates, and arbor across the front yard, added a lawn, redid all our flowers/plantings, planted several trees, new irrigation, new electrical and lighting, new mulch, added new gravel to the driveway, added a new brick walkway system and patio, and even replaced our century-old main water pipe. The team worked really hard, and Frank in particular is very detail-oriented and cares just as much as us that the project turns out perfect and we're all happy with the outcome - which we are! Frank is also an expert on native California/Bay area/drought-tolerant plants and has great taste. I would highly recommend anyone in Los Altos/the South Bay/Peninsula consider working with Frank and Pazmany for any work you want done on your property, especially if you want the work done right and want someone you can trust. We now have a yard we expect our kids, dogs, neighbors, and everyone else to be able to really enjoy for many years. Thanks Frank and Pazmany team!
