Under new management as of 2023. The new owners are very accommodating, good service and the store is twice the size.

On the back page of this week's flyer (July 23-29, 2020), a Karcher pressure washer is shown. I bought this model of pressure washer last year from Batten Home Hardware located at the corner of 16th and 140th in South Surrey, BC. After approx. 4 hours of use it stopped working, spewing water from places no water should be coming from. The manager refused to give me my money back and also did nothing to help with a warranty other than to give me the Karcher phone number located in the included manuals. His friendly, helpful attitude ended as soon as he got the money. I never have gone back to this store since and I would recommend no one ever shop there. When I contacted Karcher, they stated the production batch of this product that contained my washer's serial number was under recall for being defective and offered a replacement if I faxed all labels and receipts, which I did. After 2 weeks of waiting I called again and found out they had received my info but misplaced it and had not yet sent the replacement pressure washer. After quoting the conformation numbers they said they would send it within 2 weeks, which they did. After using the new pressure washer for about 30 mins, it malfunctioned and stopped working exactly the same way as the first machine. I took the machine to the dump after that and didn't waste any more time trying to get another replacement as clearly this corrupt company would likely just send me another defective unit. So I would warn anyone from buying this useless and poorly made product. The company does not stand behind their products. As for Battan Home Hardware, they knowingly sold a defective and recalled product, would not give back the money or replace it, and did nothing to help with the warranty process. This is an example of the worst customer service and I recommend you never shop here unless you want to be cheated and then blown off by a poor manager. read more

Cool place to shop for outdoor gadgets, though very pricey. A huge sale was going on when I visited this location, though we didn't purchase anything. A small store with good enough selection, though. read more
