I needed to take an umbrella large enough to cover myself and powered wheelchair in torrential rain (for comfort and safety due to it being electric). Their answer - no. I needed to take water so I could take medication. Their answer - no (I spent £8 on tiny cans of water so I had enough to do this). There was just ONE accessible toilet (other was out of order). The queue in the interval was full of non-disabled people who openly said they were using it so they didn't have to bother queuing for the ladies. This meant the only 2 wheelchair users at the back of the queue didn't even use the toilet until the show started again after the interval. The seats have ok viewing, but it is hugely ruined by teams of security marching past like prison guards in gangs constantly brushing past you. Very intimidating and unpleasant. When people got out their phone (even to check the time) staff hit/banged them on their heads to stop! Food - it says there will be food served. There were a couple of bars of nestle chocolate (£2.50 a bar!), and munchies, and mint aero balls. If you can't eat nestle - you can't eat anything. The whole ordeal was horrible. I tried to ring numerous times for reasonable adjustments and the phones were off. I contacted the box office via email and they were unhelpful throughout, refusing to make any reasonable adjustments and saying the security might make reasonable adjustments for your disability and safety - but they might not, and if not you will be sent away. The whole thing was AWFUL. Worse experience I have ever had at a venue. They openly breach the Equality Act and don't care at all. I tried to complain and they didn't care - and reaffirmed they don't make reasonable adjustments for disabled people (and if they do this will only be done on arrival at the securities discretion - and they might say no). 0/10.

The stadium can hold 40k and was built for football. It opened in 1892 and Everton have played here ever since. A FA Cup Final and several 1966 World Cup Games were held here. Although small, the stately old pavillion on Aigburth Rd is an impressive ground for an amateur sporting club and hosts first class cricket for Lancashire at least a couple of times a year and on a sunny afternoon it is easy to see why cricket is the perfect summer sport. Because of its size you can also rub shoulders with some of the players should there be any of the big names playing. However, the ground is also a venue for local car boot sales and you can find out when these take place on the clubs website. I have been here a few times for family parties and wedding receptions and it makes a good venue amidst the leafy green setting and cricket pitch stretching out in front of the main hall/pavillion.

Not a bad venue…read more Home of the Tranmere Rivers, Prenton Park served the match between the Lady Reds (LFC) and the Lady Devils (MAN) tonight. It was a low key affair, both sides put up a fight, but the Lady Devils triumphed despite the second half attempts of the Lady Reds. The match was good. The staff and fans were super friendly. The concessions offered burgers, dogs, soft and hot drinks during the game. They must not believe in piping hot, because the hottest I could get the coffee was warm. That said, the bathrooms were clean, and the game. Traffic in and out was tight considering this was a local and smaller game, but our group was able to mount our buses without issue at the opposite end of the stadium. Good times. We'll get 'em next time Lady Reds.

I've been to Prenton Park 4 times in total to see games, and a few more just as a tourist. Most of my visits were when I was younger, and Tranmere were in their heyday with John Aldridge and such. The most recent trip for a match was 2007. Prenton is as loud and intense and amazing as it ever was. It's a truly fantastic lower tier ground. You can't get a much louder or more intense in the lower leagues than this, and the stadium is much bigger than you'd think, as well. It's "the team" of The Wirral really, which is sort of like if Brooklyn had its own NFL team or something. For the Americans reading. I can't wait to come back and see another game at Prenton soon. Of course, Tranmere Rovers play here. Two of the stands are enormous... if they ever get back up near the Prem, hopefully they can rebuild the smaller stands to match the rest and have a super-stadium. It's going to be the best stadium in the non leagues, easily. Also, Liverpool FC Reserves play here, which just makes it more amazing.

This yearly festival is a celebration of Liverpool's music scene and music in general. Several stages and venues are set up in and around the city centre and play host to a vast array of mainly cover bands. As you would imagine, there are several Beatles cover bands but they seem to arrange amongst themselves to play different albums. In previous years, I have also seen a Bob Marley impersonator, a knock-off David Bowie and Stipe, a well known REM cover band. The best part of all this is that most venues are free to attend. Drinking is allowed on the streets and you are welcome to bring your own. It can get very busy but if you fancy a cheap-ish bank holiday, this is a good call
