A few years back the amusement arcades in Llandudno, Colwyn Bay and Rhyl used to have 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire' quiz machines. Being a bit of a trivia buff I could quite often win the £40 jackpot on these. It's the only gaming machine I've ever known on which I could make a profit more often than not.
These days the only remaining Millionaire machine I know of is in this dump, although unfortunately it's usually out of order. It seems to me that whilst other arcades update their machines nothing ever changes here. The machines don't appear to have been changed, or even moved, for many years. It's almost like a gaming machine museum.
It also appears that no one has been around with a duster and polish for many years. Rhyl's arcades by and large aren't the most appealing of places but this one is by far the most dismal and depressing of the lot. It really needs a good clean and a bit of redecoration wouldn't go amiss.
