Jim Hargrove and his crew installed approximately 100 linear feet of cedar fence to replace an old, weathered chain link fence. They did an excellent job. While the long section was relatively easy, the guys had to figure out a plan for the gate area because some of the existing chain link fence/gate was rusted and needed repair. They arrived exactly when they said they'd be there and finished the job early. The crew consulted with me about their ideas and asked questions if they ran into a glitch that needed a work around. We even did a trial run with the new gate before they finished work and we made further trim tweaks. I really appreciate that they checked with me and let me try out the new gate before they finished. This is our first project with Hargrove Fence but it won't be our last. Jim is not a honest or fun guy to work with.I had him put up a electric double swinging gate for me at my home for the hefty price of $24,556, but he did not deliver!.. him told me he was going to need to dig a trench for the electrical stuff, but he assured me he would put my driveway back together when he was done, he didn't!. He left my driveway a muddy mess. We had also talked about putting 2 big elk on my gate to make it look nice and so most of my house would be obscured or mostly hidden by the elk, he promised me big elk, but instead brought me 2 small elk that don't match the size of my gate at all!!.. I told jim that the elk are s bit to small and that I would like the big elk he had promised, he emailed me back saying that im asking for to much and that I'm lucky to even have elk. Jim and his wife both told me that a free walk or side gate is absolutely MANDATORY by law to have one in case the electric malfunctions,jim told me I was also lucky to have that and that the $24,556 I payed him only gets me a gate put up with nothing else!!.even though he told me he would need to trench for electrical ect..this guy lied to me so many times about so many things it's unreal!..He likes to say things like "that wasn't in the bid".Jim pretty much told me that $24,556 only gets you an ELECTRIC gate put up but WITHOUT THE ELECTRICAL STUFF!!.what!!..Don't hire this guy,he's a liar and currently being sued!! read more

Hargrove Fencing installed black chain link privacy fence around my entire property. Their field team was headed by Jim's wife and they did a fantastic job. They completed the work in 3 days and were professional, friendly and extremely hard working. They came each day on time or early and immediately started to work. They also accommodated my needs when it came to my cats. I have cats and wanted to let them outside but only in the fenced in area once complete. So, they installed what they call "puppy saver" poles in the gap between where the house and gate meet and custom cut additional poles to fill in the small space on the sides of the gate so my cats couldn't squeeze through and possibly escape. They were amazing to work with and Jim is down to earth and easy to talk to. I would highly recommend this company if you need quality fencing at a reasonable price. read more
