I complained sent all of the food back and asked for my money back which i did get . I then stood up to leave and a man of about 5ft 10 in , Bald ,mid to late forties became abusive and with a threatening behavior even to the point of pushing and then shouting abuse as we walk off down the street obviously LITTLE BIG MAN SYNDROME . It might have a selection of real Ales and a cider however all the ones I tried were totally not just poorly kept but I thought actually just plain vile to drink aside from the Red Dwarf. I come from an area where I have access to quite a lot of pubs with multiple choice boards and pubs where the ale is brewed on site. Frankly considering this pub is reasonably unique in Whitby for offering the same the standard of ale in this pub compared to where I come from in the Black Country just does not make sense. The ale quality is frankly really poor. If it was good I would be putting a five star on the pub.
