I needed to have a new fence built and M & L fence had done many fences in my community so I decided to use them. Miguel Limon was good at communicating thru out the process until he got paid. Here is the problem. My neighbor on one side of me had a concern about his side of the fence. Since I was restraining and capping our shared fence we needed to make sure it would all look good. Miguel and I assured him that it would. Miguel made me a liar. The neighbors side does not look good. The trim pieces were left unstained and there were several items that I found after that has made me unhappy. I have been calling Miguel to come out and fix this one problem and he keeps putting me off. He keeps telling me next week but never shows up. If he would fix this one problem I would have not have not wrote this negative review. Here was another problem. I wanted my fence and garage pressure washed before staining. During the staining I noticed that my garage didn't get pressure washed. I mentioned it to him and Miguel said that was not part of the agreement. I told him I was clear that I wanted everything pressure washed and he obliged and did it. The pressure they used was so high it left marks on my fence.. There was also broken bricks from my retaining wall which I did not complain about. There was warped boards I did not complain about. I am complaining now because as things linger you just get more upset. This company does not care about your business after the sale!! I have tried to have him send out one guy fix the problem for over a month.

I followed the old adage to get at least three bids, and among them was DFW Fence Contractor. From the start, Stacey was right there, explaining the types of wood, the merits of each type, the significance of the pole sizes and spacing, and all the other fine points. I was super impressed, and he handed me a written estimate with notes, details, diagrams, and a full breakdown of all the costs. They were expensive. The other contractors showed up (or not) to see the job. Those who did gave me a written bid (or they did not). As it was, the proposals we're all pretty competitive, but when I started looking at the materials (my experience has shown the fence rails are the first thing to rot, and once rotten, reattaching the slats becomes difficult because as I nail in one slat, three others loosen up), I realized DFW Fence Contractor uses ACTUAL 2x4s instead of MILLED 2x4s, which is very significant and distinctive from any other proposal. The more I looked, the more I decided I didn't want any other company doing this job. Suffice it to say, like so many other reviewers have said, they showed up on time, worked hard, did the job far better than expected, and cleaned up afterward. Everyone on the crew was friendly and easy to talk to, happy to help get it how we wanted it. Really, an excellent company that does an amazing job, FAR exceeding expectations. It's been up a month and still smells as good as it looks!

I was introduced to Housewright Fence by a neighbor. Our shared fence blew down in a storm, due to…read morethe original wood posts rotting. We all hate to replace fences and I am particularly bad at procrastinating about it, but after propping the old fence up for a few months, I had to cave and share the expense with our neighbor. Being frugal (i.e. cheap) I only replaced the shared fence, delaying the rest of the fence replacement for later. Housewright replaced the old wooden posts with metal posts and installed a beautiful red cedar fence. All the wood was prestained, before arriving at our house, allowing Housewright to stain ALL surfaces of the wood, to prevent decay for as long as possible. We opted for a horizontal "rot board" as well, so that the fence's pickets could be raised enough to prevent having their ends submerged, even in the heaviest rain. Again, this is done so that the fence lasts as long as possible. Have I mentioned I HATE replacing fences? They did such a great job on the first fence section, that when I was ready to replace the rest of our fence, I didn't go out for quotes. I just reached out to Housewright Fence to do the job. It took a while to get on the schedule, but with supply chain issues, we were able to get the job done within a few weeks of placing our deposit. The crew worked hard in a day so hot, I didn't even want to step outside. They were courteous, careful to not damage our plants, patio furnishings or garden trellises and their post-construction cleanup left nothing behind. We've been doing LOTS of work, to transform our backyard from a place just for the dogs to poop, into a place for peaceful reflection and relaxation. Our new fence was the final touch in our backyard's transformation and I'm grateful our neighbor found Housewright. Need a fence but procrastinating like me? Go ahead and call Housewright. We had about 200' of 6' cedar fence installed in about 2 days, from start to finish. They also put a gate in a section on wrought iron fence where we needed one, and it works perfectly. Our neighbors on one side did not want a new fence, complained about us removing our trees, and were generally not fun to deal with. The crew had to put up with their complaining as well, but did so with a smile and even filled the gap between their old, falling down, chain link gate and the new wood fence. Even they are happy with the fence that they didn't want! Jay was extremely responsive to my emails and texts and they even billed my side neighbor separately for his half of that section of fence so that we didn't have to deal with that. He took care of everything from start to finish. Within a couple days of getting the quote I had him and his team scheduled to fix our driveway gate. The gate was built a few years ago and unfortunately the people we initially hired did not finish the job and took the gate opener that we had purchased with them. Alberto's team fixed our fence, raised the gate up several inches, added cable to prevent sagging, and added an automatic gate opener. They also repainted all the iron.
