Too many cities and towns across the nation have suffered loss of their central grocers, with none to replace them *nearby*. (A WalMart on the far outskirts of town does not count.) Bravo and kudos to these folks. The store is spiffy clean. It's well-stocked and organized. Also, special displays don't block aisles (and customers) to shout "Look at me! Buy me!" as now happens in too many grocery stores. Hate all that clutter: Makes it harder for people to get past one another in aisles. Stores that do that are using grocer- (instead of customer-) centered marketing. Most workers efficient and helpful, though there can be a little longer wait at the service desk than at other grocers. That's partly because more customers need the special services offered there (e.g. check cashing). All groceries I bought there have been fine, although I have avoided the fresh meat because other people have said to avoid it. But pre-packaged processed meat there (like hot dogs, bacon) have always been fine. Dairy too.

They refused to provide a list of vendors, contact information, or any previous information. The new crew has literally been driving out to farmers trying to find the vendors. PFC had been spreading false information claiming the market would be a mess and EBT tokens would not be available. THE ACTUAL IS THAT YOU CAN NOW TAKE OUT $50 in double up!!! The PFC is refusing to hand over any of the social media accounts. Acting like children isn't just hurting the new operators but also the farmers, vendors, and families that rely on this community staple.

For the ketoers, however, City Centre is pretty spectacular. They have a huge selection of sugar free and low carb foods. They carry a lot of salami, meat, and cheese, as well as pickles, pre-packed hard boiled eggs and bulk nuts. They also have Halo Top and Quest brand frozen pizza and snacks. There is a full salad bar and coffee bar along with produce from the Food Co-Op. City Centre has kitchen and home essentials like laundry detergent and soap as well as lotion and baby wipes. They also have a small selection of dog and cat treats and food. Their facebook page lists the following: Sandwiches toasted or cold Full Espresso bar with Nitro Cold Brew Breakfast Sandwiches Smoothie Bar made with Fresh Fruits, Vegetables, and coconut water 100% vegan. We dropped by on Saturday morning and left with a bottled water, some cheese, salami and pickles for our morning snack. The owner came out to thank us for stopping in and the employee who checked us out was friendly and helpful. Mr. MVP is happy to have a healthy and convenient option right on the downtown mall and on a busy week it might take the pressure off meal prep every so often.

If you take the free brewery tour, it ends in the store and your final sample is whatever you'd like from the taps. I tried a Thai basil porter that was really unique. Our tour guide told us any bottle you see in the coolers without a neck label is an exclusive. Super fun for beer lovers! They have tons of merchandise, pretty much anything you can think of, branded with Bell's logos. It was almost Oberon day when we were there, so we saw lot of Oberon stuff. I loved the clearance section of clothes - I didn't get anything this time but I'll check it out again next time I'm there.
