We were stuck here for a week. Being such a small town I was skeptical however, I can't say enough about this camp ground. We have traveled every state in the USA (except Maine) and have stayed at 100's of campgrounds on our journeys. This place is quiet, has a huge dog park and the owners were so kind. Nothing super fancy but well taken care of and friendly. I highly recommend this place.

New owners are awesome! Brought us free fire wood, made us feel like we were apart of their family. They are actively updating the campground and can't wait to see what comes! New bathroom doors, benches on the way etc! Couldn't have been happier, will definitely be a regular stop for us! This is truly a hidden gem and you can tell the new owners are fully invested in making this campground better than it's ever been.

Playground and pool in the back!

Hands down the best KOA I have ever been to and best campground at that! It's lovely and clean, comfortable and safe! The owner is the sweetest and the workers are as kind as can be! The campground is clean with a cute store in the office with goodies and things you may need! There's a playground and a pool, also a dog park! Whether you're here for a while or just a weekend, it's definitely worth the stay! I highly recommend the KOA in Hardin, MT!

Hard UP KOA... I mean Hardin KOA. If you can, keep driving to the next campground or truck stop. Normally I start with the positive in me reviews but none come to mind with this place. Wait I have one; the bathrooms are older but clean. Cons: -Road noise. -Shared power & water. -Corn processing in the background 24/7. -Dusty & run down. -Dirty pool. -Pool closes at 5:45pm on the dot. -Spa looks like it hasn't worked in years. -Laundry room closes 5-6 pm but check in is at 1pm?! -Run down playground. -Biting flys everywhere. -Farmer spraying pesticides driving down the road while I'm eating dinner outside. -Junky old hats and bicycles as tacky decor. -No Wifi in the front campsites. -Dishonest hosts. I have to agree with whoever said this is the saddest KOA that they have ever seen. I guess KOA lowered the bar or they don't know about this GEM in there collection... I'm tired of leaving bad reviews but somehow I keep hitting up the bottom of the barrel when it comes to RV parks. Normally I'm not much for KOA's because they are pretentious and you feel like you could be breaking a rule at any moment. But as a trade off you get a certain quality of park that has amenities not always available at other parks. With this park you don't have to worry about anything. This place is run down and the staff must be related to Cinderella because at 6:03 pm they are already off the clock and gone or hiding in there house. At exactly 5:45 pm 2 men come to close the pool down. I mentioned that 5:45pm seemed pretty early to close the pool down. Then he rattles off that they had experienced a tornado about a month ago and they were in the middle of getting the pool back in order. The older guys said he had two options 1. Drain and clean it or 2 shock it every day. (The pool really looks like it could use a good drain and cleaning) The older guy was totally lying to my face. I work on pools and spas for a living and the first thing I noticed when I got in the pool was how low the chlorine was and the amount of dirt in the pool. I was lingering because I could smell his B.S. they didn't attempt to clean the pool or add any chemicals; they just put the cover on the pool and locked the gate. When we left in the morning the pool was still locked up at 10:15 am even though the sign said it opened at 9am. No Morning swims for you! There's nothing worse than someone looking you right in the eye and telling you a long winded lie that you know isn't the truth. We had arrived at 5:30 pm and went directly to the pool as soon as we got parked. A whole 5-10 min in the pool before the warden gives us the boot! The laundry room closed at 5:00pm. So we couldn't do a load or two of cloths before we got on the road again. I don't understand why people don't leave them open. We are in the middle of nowhere with a few campers... What is a transient field mouse going to find it's way in there? Overall the only pro to the whole situation was we were so bored and frustrated that we went to bed early and had a short shot to Little Bighorn the next day. This place is a $50 truck I hope the owners / management start reading there reviews on yelp and Google and start addressing some issues, this place is a mess.

This place has ZERO maintenance done. Sites are no where near level. They advertise pool (water was green). They claim WI-FI but it is only available at the office. They placed us in a site that had no satellite reception and then refused to let us reposition our coach so we could get it. They do not offer cable access and OTA was unobtainable. We were booked for four nights and when we complained and informed them we would be leaving the next morning and requested a refund, the owner Gina said "No, you are leaving right now!" We have never been treated so poorly by any business ever. Avoid this dump like the plague! P.S. i would have rated it zero stars if possible

Small, slightly remote campground. BUT super friendly and helpful owners! Clean facilities, beautiful farmland views, and great amenties.

Farm fields, grain processor, bunny rabbits.

The staff was friendly and the bathrooms are nice and clean. Don't expect wilderness or quiet or darkness. It's right off a 2-lane highway and across that highway is a grain processor that churns and burns all night so it never gets truly dark. Still, it's convenient, clean, and a nice place to stay when you just need a night or two to explore the area, like going to Little Bighorn.

:-) We were planning on tenting, but with a storm rolling in, decided to stay in a Kabin instead.

KOA is in the area but they are over priced and every time we've stayed at one they've been a dump so we avoid KOA's now. Not saying the one in Hardin is bad it's just been our experience. We are full time RVers and have traveled every state. This campground wasn't too bad. It was over $65 for 1 night with our military discount.,the park was easy to get into, there were plenty of open sites but she gave us one that the water was broke. If we needed water we had to use the hose from the campsite next to us which was not super close. Our hookups are on the other side of our camper so that hose wouldn't reach anyway. Luckily it was one night and we didn't need water. The worst part was we were abruptly woken up at 5:45am by a crop duster that flys directly over the campground soooo low. It was the worst way to wake up, I thought the plane was going to crash into the campground he was so low. He made about 10 passes and left. I would not stay here again! This is a $30 a night at the most campground. We did not know it but there is a loves RV campground across the highway that is only $30 and a much better place with full hookups that work. If the water doesn't work don't charge full price! Luckily we are passing through and our next trip through if we have to stop we'll stay at the Loves.

She's chatty and friendly. The office has (I think) 4 wonderful little animals that roam freely in it 2 cats and 2 dogs. Cuties! Hardin is the most rundown place in America I've seen with my eyes so far. I feel like the area is either you love Jesus or Methamphetamine. Kinda smells like manure / swamp in the area too. The town desperately needs an option to charge EV's as it lies between two very far supercharger locations. We charged at 5 miles per hour overnight, woke up and drove the car without our trailer to Billings to supercharge and came back to get the trailer. The bathrooms have curtains to hide toilets instead of doors. The lights are on a timer. Place is weird, would never stay there again. Would try the other options if I had to go through Hardin again. A cash grab is a cash grab.

Eventually someone let her in. There was another junky car parked nearby that also clearly didn't belong there. So I was happy to be leaving because otherwise felt like my stuff would get stolen if I didn't watch it closely as we were packing up. I had called the "after hours" number twice about the lady before she got in but was directed to leave a message each time. All that said, I felt safe until then. The bathrooms and showers were clean and also plentiful. We played the mini golf there, which was free. We walked down to the Yellowstone River, which was steps away. It was stunning with lots of cool rocks. The one-room cabin was good. A code to get in, which was nice. Air conditioner and little fridge and desk with chair. Bunk beds and also another (full size?) bed. The curtains were good at blocking out light. The little shop had coffee in the morning but like all other koa's not until 8am. We had a fire pit at our cabin. I recommend this place but watch your belongings and don't let vagrants in the bathroom.
