Easy to do a late check in. All sites are pull trough.. Table and b b que pit at each site. Restrooms have clean showers with changing stalls. Small refreshing pool and a separate hot tub. Playground for children. 2 tent areas.. one with electric. It is close to the main road. All have covered tables and grass. We had a huge thunderstorm come through.. we were able to move from tent to Kabin.... Very willing to help us and accommodate us!! Kabin had power and air conditioning. Good campground in Hardin, MT. Fairly typical KOA. Everything is clean, and the staff have been super friendly and attentive. Pads are gravel, and at least mine was not level. There are several fenced-in dog "parks" with plenty of poo bags. I would absolutely stay here again. read more

We were stuck here for a week. Being such a small town I was skeptical however, I can't say enough about this camp ground. We have traveled every state in the USA (except Maine) and have stayed at 100's of campgrounds on our journeys. This place is quiet, has a huge dog park and the owners were so kind. We were placed in a site that was very cramped between two other rigs. It was fine, since we planned on just passing through. I'm glad they save the more spacious sites for people with multi-day reservations. The pool was open and was very clean. The pool deck had ample seating and cute decor. There was a hot tub but it wasn't open (not that we wanted to use it anyway in this heat). The playground was super cute, with a variety of play structures all in good repair. The bathrooms were very well-maintained and the showers were hot! The laundry room was big enough for multiple people to use at once although the price per load was a little higher than usual. The campground was decorated very cute and was all very clean and cared for. Everything looks old but has all been taken care of very well. Staff was very friendly and we were even escorted to our site by an employee in a golf cart! We aren't local so we probably won't be back soon, but if you're looking for a place to stay I highly recommend! Make sure to do your grocery shopping before you get to Hardin though because the IGA prices were pretty steep. 10/10! read more

Hard UP KOA... I mean Hardin KOA. If you can, keep driving to the next campground or truck stop. Normally I start with the positive in me reviews but none come to mind with this place. Wait I have one; the bathrooms are older but clean. Cons: -Road noise. -Shared power & water. -Corn processing in the background 24/7. -Dusty & run down. -Dirty pool. -Pool closes at 5:45pm on the dot. -Spa looks like it hasn't worked in years. -Laundry room closes 5-6 pm but check in is at 1pm?! -Run down playground. -Biting flys everywhere. -Farmer spraying pesticides driving down the road while I'm eating dinner outside. -Junky old hats and bicycles as tacky decor. -No Wifi in the front campsites. -Dishonest hosts. I have to agree with whoever said this is the saddest KOA that they have ever seen. I guess KOA lowered the bar or they don't know about this GEM in there collection... I'm tired of leaving bad reviews but somehow I keep hitting up the bottom of the barrel when it comes to RV parks. Normally I'm not much for KOA's because they are pretentious and you feel like you could be breaking a rule at any moment. But as a trade off you get a certain quality of park that has amenities not always available at other parks. With this park you don't have to worry about anything. This place is run down and the staff must be related to Cinderella because at 6:03 pm they are already off the clock and gone or hiding in there house. At exactly 5:45 pm 2 men come to close the pool down. I mentioned that 5:45pm seemed pretty early to close the pool down. Then he rattles off that they had experienced a tornado about a month ago and they were in the middle of getting the pool back in order. The older guys said he had two options 1. Drain and clean it or 2 shock it every day. (The pool really looks like it could use a good drain and cleaning) The older guy was totally lying to my face. I work on pools and spas for a living and the first thing I noticed when I got in the pool was how low the chlorine was and the amount of dirt in the pool. I was lingering because I could smell his B.S. they didn't attempt to clean the pool or add any chemicals; they just put the cover on the pool and locked the gate. When we left in the morning the pool was still locked up at 10:15 am even though the sign said it opened at 9am. No Morning swims for you! There's nothing worse than someone looking you right in the eye and telling you a long winded lie that you know isn't the truth. We had arrived at 5:30 pm and went directly to the pool as soon as we got parked. A whole 5-10 min in the pool before the warden gives us the boot! The laundry room closed at 5:00pm. So we couldn't do a load or two of cloths before we got on the road again. I don't understand why people don't leave them open. We are in the middle of nowhere with a few campers... What is a transient field mouse going to find it's way in there? Overall the only pro to the whole situation was we were so bored and frustrated that we went to bed early and had a short shot to Little Bighorn the next day. This place is a $50 truck I hope the owners / management start reading there reviews on yelp and Google and start addressing some issues, this place is a mess. read more

This place has ZERO maintenance done. Sites are no where near level. They advertise pool (water was green). They claim WI-FI but it is only available at the office. They placed us in a site that had no satellite reception and then refused to let us reposition our coach so we could get it. They do not offer cable access and OTA was unobtainable. We were booked for four nights and when we complained and informed them we would be leaving the next morning and requested a refund, the owner Gina said "No, you are leaving right now!" We have never been treated so poorly by any business ever. Avoid this dump like the plague! P.S. i would have rated it zero stars if possible read more

We stayed here one night. FYI: no longer have cable due to a provider issue per a sign at the front desk. (July 15th, 2018) PROS: Owners and staff are friendly and helpful. Easy access to and from freeway. VERY VERY QUIET!! Beautiful location and lovely green fields of sugar beets all around! Pool is there but seemed small compared to the amount of sites. Kids slide and play area. Very nice on site store with RV supplies as well as food items. Decently priced. CONS: very close sites so much so we were unable to put out awnings. Sites fairly level and on a green bed of grass and weeds. The pet areas are not fenced so no off leash for the fur babies. One trash facility for entire park which is at the front of the park. Cell reception was Verizon 4G at 4 Bars and ATT was 4G at 2-3 Bars. Did not use bathrooms so can't comment, laundry was present, very old and outdated upon brief inspection while checking in. Didn't see cost though. read more

VERY friendly staff... when speaking to a nice "older" lady, she was friendly and informative and super kind. However, some of the other staff was young and inexperienced. I called the office and asked if they had outgoing mail and the confused response and then quick answer no made me prefer driving into the local post office to drop it off. The campground had a pool and playground; as well as laundry facilities and a cute little store. The spots were big rig friendly. wi-fi was ok. If I found myself driving through town again, I might stay again. But I want to clarify... even the young staff was friendly. Wi-Fi pretty good read more

What a beautiful Park. Surrounded by fields and mountains in the background 360 degree view. Many covered picnic tables an abundance of trees, a lot of area to walk your dogs. Grassy sites. Now talk about showers, immaculate, great pressure and hot water right up my alley! Super quiet.. no need to plug up here ! Lol The cutest little cabins with swings on the porch. There are also tent sites available. Would love to stay here again someday for a longer stay. read more

This KOA was great!! We've stayed here years before, long before Yelp was born. :-) We were planning on tenting, but with a storm rolling in, decided to stay in a Kabin instead. With 6 of us, I knew we wouldn't fit in a traditional Kabin. But they said they had one that sleeps 6. So, we stayed there. It was big enough to not feel cramped. The mattresses were a good 6 inches thick, quite comfortable. Next to our room, they had an ORIGINAL Kabin - the ones they started with when KOA first started using Kabins. Very cool!! The owners were very friendly, as was the young lady they were training. There is a playground, a pool, plenty of cute little bunnies hopping around. The kids enjoyed it! (the pool wasn't open yet) Oh, one more thing. The WiFi is a little slow, but think for a second. You go camping to slow life down a bit, right? Take it easy, enjoy the beauty, watch the bunnies, and don't freak out about slow WiFi. It's not the end of the world. :-) And, if you drive right over the bridge toward the town, there is a drive-thru coffee shop that makes everyone's morning good! read more

Nice spot with farms all around. Owners very hospitable. Clean bath, showers and warm POOL and hot tub. Minimal store with the basics. Only a funky Chinese restaurant nearby so bring things to grill. The staff was friendly and the bathrooms are nice and clean. Don't expect wilderness or quiet or darkness. It's right off a 2-lane highway and across that highway is a grain processor that churns and burns all night so it never gets truly dark. Still, it's convenient, clean, and a nice place to stay when you just need a night or two to explore the area, like going to Little Bighorn. read more

I will never return to this dreadful place ever. Dry, dead grass everywhere. Completely unkept, dusty and dirty. Bathroom could use an upgrade. When we arrived at 10:50 am, we came into the office and told the couple behind the counter that we had a reservation. The woman said "why are you here?" I was astounded. I told her I had a reservation. She told me that check in wasn't until 1pm. She continued to berate me for arriving earlier than she wanted. I asked if I needed to make alternate plans? Her husband immediately said he would check our site ( which was available) and checked us in. But wait... she was not finished with her lecture, she told me that 11-1 the bathrooms are cleaned so I would have no access, as if it were a punishment. I understand that these folks see hundreds of people over a season however they should also understand that these people are why they have a job. I have visited this site before with no issue but I will not return. read more

I would give this place 0 stars if i could!! This was a HORRIBLE KOA. I went to check in and there was someone at the desk doing nothing and the other on the phone, no one acknowledged me for a couple minutes. The grounds look run down and not well maintained. The picnic area for your camper is shared with your neighbors and there is no space between, no privacy. The electric is also shared with your neighbor as well. We had an issue and the owner just yelled and was rude. We packed up and left right away. I have never been somewhere where they owner of a campground wouldn't listen or talk, instead he yelled and blamed everyone for the bad electric at a site. I would not recommend staying here even for the night. Stay down the street at the other campground a mile away! The lady there was helpful and helped us out at the last minute! read more

We stayed here two nights on our 1 year trip around the US. Very close to all the Bighorn/Custers Last Stand areas. Our visit was quiet and the surrounding areas were lush green fields of crops. Having said that it also created a mass exodus of gnats to our trailer which is no fault of KOA but I suppose should be expected considering all the crop fields. Batten down the hatches because those sneaky little things will find a way in. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Friendly and helpful owners here. The grounds and fixtures definitely have an outdated, unkempt feeling. Grassy areas are more along the lines of weedy areas for instance. Restrooms are clean though. Awkward site setup -- one hookup is shared between two sites so you are within ten feet of each other side-by-side. Having said all that, it is easy access from I-90 and a safe place to call a night.
