Traveling from Great Falls to Wyoming. The weather was bad and the wind was bad so decided to stop early. Looked up some campgrounds and found this one. KOA is in the area but they are over priced and every time we've stayed at one they've been a dump so we avoid KOA's now. Not saying the one in Hardin is bad it's just been our experience. We are full time RVers and have traveled every state. This campground wasn't too bad. It was over $65 for 1 night with our military discount.,the park was easy to get into, there were plenty of open sites but she gave us one that the water was broke. If we needed water we had to use the hose from the campsite next to us which was not super close. Our hookups are on the other side of our camper so that hose wouldn't reach anyway. Luckily it was one night and we didn't need water. The worst part was we were abruptly woken up at 5:45am by a crop duster that flys directly over the campground soooo low. It was the worst way to wake up, I thought the plane was going to crash into the campground he was so low. He made about 10 passes and left. I would not stay here again! This is a $30 a night at the most campground. We did not know it but there is a loves RV campground across the highway that is only $30 and a much better place with full hookups that work. If the water doesn't work don't charge full price! Luckily we are passing through and our next trip through if we have to stop we'll stay at the Loves. read more

If you drive an Electric Vehicle, you will be charged an extra $20 to stay at this campground and use their electricity to charge your vehicle. Laurie answered the phone when we called. She's chatty and friendly. The office has (I think) 4 wonderful little animals that roam freely in it 2 cats and 2 dogs. Cuties! Hardin is the most rundown place in America I've seen with my eyes so far. I feel like the area is either you love Jesus or Methamphetamine. Kinda smells like manure / swamp in the area too. The town desperately needs an option to charge EV's as it lies between two very far supercharger locations. We charged at 5 miles per hour overnight, woke up and drove the car without our trailer to Billings to supercharge and came back to get the trailer. The bathrooms have curtains to hide toilets instead of doors. The lights are on a timer. Place is weird, would never stay there again. Would try the other options if I had to go through Hardin again. A cash grab is a cash grab. read more

Grandview was easy to get to. The little shelters behind our site came in handy when a surprise storm caught us outside. The sites were very level. The bathrooms were clean with plenty of pressure. Thank you for holding my buddies tow clip that was turned in. read more

Park is convenient close to hwy, and fairly easy to drive into. The woman in the office is friendly and very chatty. We were provided a pull through with FHU... this all great. However, our view was the trash dumpster and it was over flowing and strong wind came up and it was blown around. Although at some point someone picked up last night. I did not use any of the facilities so can not provide review of them. We've stayed in other parks of this level for overnights but they are not 51.80 a night and we used our Good Sams discount. We were expecting 40.50 a night. May try some other place in the future if we pass through the region in the future if the cost is going to be over 50.00. read more

VERY LONG BUT PLEASE READ BEFORE WASTING YOUR MONEY HERE!!!!!! I am never one to leave a review on anything, but this will be my first. My boyfriend and I travel for work, we are constantly staying in RV parks as we have a 5th wheel we live in. I have never seen a worse camp ground, I knew as soon as we pulled in it wouldn't be good but I gave it the benefit of the doubt. It was very last minute as we needed to leave Denver and have somewhere to stay on the same day so we were out of time and needed somewhere to go, I called and got asked a lot of questions, where I work, what will I be doing and for how long, where do I live and where am I currently at, I thought it was odd but didn't try to think much of it. I was told we were receiving a luxury spot. Definitely was not. There were vehicles driving around, did not look like they had good intentions looking at peoples things, we work a lot and I do not feel comfortable leaving my belongings here. It does not feel safe, horrible part of town, the entire camp ground looks run down and trashy. The lady in the office is rude and not professional at all, not to mention the office smells of cat urine. We went in and told her somewhere else had come up that would be better for us and she instantly got mad and told us there was a $350 cancellation fee. We told her we would be out in the morning. We had to pay $350 for one night to stay somewhere that doesn't even feel safe to stay at. She tried to tell us it was on the website. It is not, I have been through the whole website and that is nowhere in it, not to mention she told us monthly rent was $650 but we pay electric, the websites says it's included. This lady makes up whatever she wants to do, we have talked to multiple other people around here and they all have different crazy stories from this woman. I definitely do not recommend to stay here, the website pictures look nothing like this campground, if you have to keep driving, do so! If you have to stop, loves travel gas station has a campground site in this town, which is very nice and gated. Keep the creeps from driving around looking at all your belongings. Do not waste your money here!! Or even the lovely KOA down the road, it is beautiful and wonderfully taken care of by a very nice woman who will help you out if you need it! Do not get stuck in this horrible place! There's so much more I could say but please save yourself the money and headache, avoid Grandview Campground in Hardin, MT. read more

We have stayed at the Grandview Campground going to and coming from the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally for many years. We enjoy it so much that we often extend our stay a day to decompress. The staff, Laurie in particular is fabulous! She even waits up if you are late coming in to ensure you make it to your site. There are multiple pull through sites since we are generally pulling a trailer behind the motorhome. Our friends tent camp here also. The other campers are very friendly and quiet. The showers and laundry facilities are always clean and in good repair. I just can't recommend this place enough. If you don't stay here you are missing out. read more

We stopped here on our way on a cross country trip. Exceptionally nice people. The pull through spots are nice and spacious. With full hookup. We stayed 5 nights for a family reunion in Hardin. Laurie's campground is spacious, quiet and very clean. Bathrooms and laundry are super clean and large. Laurie makes you feel like family, helping you get situated, and checking on you for your needs while you are there. One suggestion to people visiting. Not all sites have fire rings. If that is important to you, ask when you make your reservation or bring your own. read more

When my camping reservation fell through, Laurie found a space for me and my tent at the height of the busiest season. The camp is conveniently near the freeway, right in the city of Hardin, near restaurants and a grocery store. The facilities are clean and with enough space to accommodate everyone. First of all if you like staying in a trailer trash park this is for you. The owner does not take care of the park at all. The house and office caught fire 5+ years ago and when I asked why she has not fixed it she gave every excuse there is. For example the front of the office has vapor bearer on the outside and no siding "for 5+ years" when u go into the office all u smell is cat food and piss. She takes cans of cat food and just empties it on the counter behind the front counter, there is also bags and boxes of clothes and whatever behind that like a horders house there is a path to her computer in the back, and that is just the inside of the office. The outside is worse there is crap all around the house and there is a shed that really serves no purpose but one day she left the door open and it was full of the cat cans. As for the sites when it rains it is like a swamp so when you step out side your rig u step in water and mud. She puts people in spots that should not be a spot like in low areas where the water is, so your rig is sitting in the water "which is in the grass/mud", and the power poles and sewer are in the low areas as well, our shore power cord was about 2 inches from being under water. Then on top of it she is supposed to be a good sams facility, she don't have set rates for her rent. For example for the monthly rates she will charge $500 for one person 700 for another all the way up to 900. The guy that was next to me "in the low areas which I call a ditch" was being charged 900/ month and he didn't even have water for the first 2 weeks, and he was next to me where at least I was parked on gravel and I was being charged 850. And to boot he was a small 30 Amp TT and I am a 50 Amp 5th wheel. Oh then on top of it as soon as I first met her she started to tell me about her personal problems and all about a guy she went into buisiness with for only knowing him for a few months and how he is trying to boot her from the business and so on...... she is so not professional. Nice site in a not so nice area. Trashy trailers in the lot next to us made for a not so nice view. Need to erect a tall privacy fence. The sites are level and accommodated our big rig very well. Laundry clean and had the commercial size machine which was fantastic. Very hot inside , a few fans or a swamp cooler would help. The owner was extremely nice and very friendly. read more

In my opinion, this facility is not up to Good Sam standards. The bathrooms are similar to public swimming pool bathrooms. Curtained stalls with no privacy and not well maintained. (see photos) The property floods regularly. There were 2 to 3 inches of standing water in the 50 ft. area between the bathroom and our RV. The paving inside the park is in need of repair. Not sure why they call it Grandview. Our view was of the trash bin and a filthy recycling area. (pictured) There is no office, gift shop or camp store. The owner puts travel brochures in the bathrooms to keep patrons away from the office and out of her space. She can be very rude about advance reservation details and since she does not use a registration form like most RV parks, the details of your requested stay are left up to her interpretation and not up for negotiation. You will be charged for whatever she thinks you owe her with no exceptions. There is no good Sam discount. I paid $48.80/night because it was Big Horn Days. Contrary to their advertising, this is not the only place to stay to be close to area attractions. There is a KOA and an RV Park called 7th Ranch RV Camp that are infinitely better. We had reservations to stay here in June but had to cancel them. We canceled them 3-4 months before we were due to arrive. Today June 27th, 2020 I was looking at my bank account and it had been charged 12.00 for that campground. No where on their website is a cancellation policy listed but when I called like I said 3-4 months in advance to cancel I was told there would be a 10.00 fee, ok fine I understand even though it was so far out there is a little sentence about refunds. I figured that because there was no charge months ago that we were good so to see a charge come up MONTHS later is not acceptable. We will make sure this is not a campground we will visit in the future. This is not an acceptable way of treating customers. This really saddens me as we were hoping to stay next year on our way through. read more

Sites were fine. Had a newly painted picnic tables. Bathroom/ shower room was clean. Had good seating for putting on dry clothes. Nice shower curtain to separate each dressing area. They do need to put towel hook LOWER, for a 5ft person, NOT at 7ft up. Need to put up a sign that says that handicap shower with chair is all the way to back of row of shower stalls. Also need to put a sign above timer switch. I thought it was for shower fans. I was looking all over for light switch. It's early spring,soon after campground opened for the season, so yard needs to be done. They don't have a working office, check in office ( due to fire in building), so you need to find the very friendly lady owner in her blue van. Very helpful with sharing town info, where to buy groceries, etc. Gas/ quick mart right across the street from campground. Overall it was decent and quiet, away from highway noise. We would return here on trips to/ from winter time down South. read more

We stayed at this campground June 2021. We chose the location due to it being so close to Little Big Horn Battlefield. We only stayed one night. We were given site A-12 which was large (compared to many private campgrounds). We got several tv channels without needing to hook up to cable. We had a good WiFi signal. Nice quiet campground even though it was on the main street in town. Friendly staff. I will visit again if I'm ever in the area. read more

We called about an hour before arriving and made a reservation for a pull through. We were asked for and provided our credit card number. When we arrived at the office and store we were almost overcome by the strong cat urine smell that permeated the building. The woman who was running the office had a difficult time locating our reservation but found it. She then proceeded to point on the map to a "very long" back-in site she wanted us to take. I reminded her that we made a reservation for a pull-through. She looked at my husband and in a derogatory manner said, *Can't you back up?" My husband said "Yes I can back up but I want a pull through." The woman continued her attempts to sell us on taking a "very long" site in the back. We finally had to demand the pull-through that we had reserved. She very begrudgingly gave us a pull-through. The sites were long, the WiFi and TV reception was good, but the view was far from "Grand." The only view was a narrow, mossy, infested drainage ditch, which she called a "creek." It's hard to believe that this is a Good Sam park. read more

We had reservations for June 26th and 27th. The campground's location was near the Little Big Horn Battlefield and was chosen for the convenience. Although the program was cancelled this year due to Covid, we were able to visit the site and look around. Our time at the campground was pleasant and we were fortunate to have shade trees near our campsite. The laundry facilities were newer and a welcome addition. read more

The lady was very nice but if you are a tent camper, this is not for you. It is $29.99 for tent camping, it's right on the highway and there are cars and trains racing by constantly. The bad - The campground was just coming out of the winter closure / slowdown so maybe that is the reason for the repairs in progress (Womens Restroom and showers out of commission), office in dissarray. - I reported that one shower was fouled and she responded by cleaning it immediately. As a previous reviewer noted the office smells so badly of cat urine that it is almost overpowering. The Good - The lady who took my reservation and checked us in was very helpful. As mentioned above she was responsive to my complaint and she was also helpful in directions and pleasant. There is no grand view but it is a pleasant enough rural setting - location is convenient to the Interstate. The sites are large and level. The WiFi worked and all services were adequate. Price is fair.. OK place for an overnighter and has great potential with a little work. Two and half starts. read more

This is a very quaint campground run by a mother and her daughter. It's one of the closest campgrounds to the Little Bighorn National Battlefield. Don't bother with a pull-through, because the back-in sites are huge and extremely easy to back into. The owners are very helpful and even provide a CD describing the battlefield that you can borrow for the day. This is a good place to stay if you're visiting the battlefield or just passing through. read more

The tent space is in the backyard of the house and there is only one fire ring to 6 picnic tables. The location is in town right off the highway. As such on as we bought two nights of camping and went to set up tents a group of people were cutting from the gas station across the street through our campsite and on to wherever with booze in hand. We imagined a long night of this and with three women traveling across country this is was far less than what was advertised. We felt unsafe and told the office we decided we would go elsewhere. We got yelled at with a 12 year old along and were told we would only get half our money back. This was ten minutes after paying. I told the woman at the office we weren't there to argue but wanted to leave and for a refund. She continued yelling and demanded to know why we were leaving. I told her why and she blew up even more. I told her not to patronize us and to show me the policy and our reservation. None of which she had on hand. Took her twenty minutes to come up with any formal paperwork. We cut our losses and left. This is all before I mention to you the nasty smell of cat piss and dog shit in their office and yard.
