We are grateful to Landmark Construction. My husband discovered a fractured plumbing PVC pipe in…read moreour attic & finished replacing it late Tuesday afternoon. Just then he realized it continued through our expensive steel roof & there was a gap between the steel roof & the pipe. The weather called for hours of rain for yesterday. What to do? Jimmy was so easy to work with & had terrific people skills on the phone. We were also delighted that Jimmy sent Eric out to finish the fix on the roof when he said he would yesterday afternoon. Eric was conscientious enough to fix a small crack on another pipe while on the roof. This was problem solving of the highest order for us.

Landmark Construction continues to lie just to make themselves better. I cannot post a comment in…read morereference to their response so I'll put the comment here. Angela R./Manager and Mitch, please show me the call logs where "you say my husband called multiple times into the night." You don't have those call logs because it didn't happen. Mitch was very unprofessional when he came to our house after a tree had fallen on it putting us out of our home for 7 months. My husband was not belligerent or drunk. Just because someone gets off work and has 1 beer to decompress from a long day of work AND a tree falling on our house making us unable to live in the home, does not make him drunk or belligerent. Mitch's terrible attitude was the problem in a very stressful situation. When they did remove the tree they drove all over my front yard with a bobcat, tearing the driveway and front yard up. I have proof of that and my insurance company is having to pay to fix everything due to Landmark's incompetence. I will never use that company again and I will tell everyone I know not to use them either. Angela R./Manager and Mitch, stop lying and bad mouthing us. Unless you have proof, keep your mouth shut! Oh and if you need an amazing contractor, I have the perfect company who did an amazing job fixing Landmarks mess!

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Unfortunately, negative reviews seem to get removed but I do have…read morescreenshots to support what I'm saying. KMC was very eager to take on work at my mother's home and initially came across as professional, he is a good talker. However, that is where the professionalism ended. He does not have a contractor's license nor does he have a legitimate qualifying agent. We have him on recording falsely claiming that he is licensed. When we contacted the individual he later claimed was his "qualifying agent" that person confirmed he does not work with him and had only been contacted after we began asking questions. My mother hired KMC to repair her shower, fix rotten wood on the house and work on her bathtub. He was quick to take $7,000 upfront but after that communication became extremely inconsistent. He would ignore calls and messages for days at a time and repeatedly make excuses for not showing up. Meanwhile he was actively working on his girlfriend's salon and posting photos of that work on Facebook while ignoring my mother. The workers he brought in were unqualified and we were never provided with proof of licensing for him or the plumber he claimed to hire despite multiple requests. The workmanship was poor and caused significant additional damage. For the bathtub installation he used braided supply lines wrapped in plastic bags under the tile floor and failed to secure the bathtub to the floor, which is not up to code. As a result my mother had to spend an extra $10,000 to repair what was done incorrectly. The shower was done incorrectly . The old showers doors were to be reinstalled after the work was completed with the shower but they were not able to because it was not done the correct way and new doors had to be purchased. He repeatedly lied about the status of the work and whether it was being completed. When we finally demanded proof of licensing and paused the project until documentation was provided he attempted to shift the blame by claiming we were preventing him from finishing the job. This situation is especially upsetting because my mother is a recent widow who trusted him. Misrepresenting yourself as a licensed contractor is not only unethical it is illegal in Tennessee. This matter has been reported to both the state and local authorities. More action is also in the process. I fully expect a response claiming he is "just a handyman" but that does not change the fact that he explicitly told my mother he was licensed and we have that on recording. Proceed with extreme caution.

I called Bluff City Fence for an estimate in repairing a portion of my wood fence that had fallen…read moredown during the recent major storm. I already had two estimates from two other companies. One estimate to repair the fence was for $750.00 and the other estimate was for $800.00. Bluff City was the third company. They came out quickly and emailed me the estimate. Their estimate to repair the fence was for $2,157.00. They we're almost three times as expensive. I knew it would be higher because the other two estimates were from men who worked for themselves and not a larger company as Bluff City Fence. However i was shocked that their estimate was so much higher. Although the estimate was much higher it still did not persuade me from using their service. However what did dissuade me from using their service was when I called their office to check on how long they would give to pay the remainder of the bill after the down payment which was almost half the bill I was expecting the business standard of between 30 to 45 days. The woman I spoke to needed to know if I represented a corporate account or a residential account before she answered. When I told her residential she hesitated for a bit and said two weeks. Wow! Only two weeks to resolve the bill In full. Ok then.. so I decided not to use their services. If you get paid once a month like I do it would be helpful to be on a monthly plan.
