And, it was SO GOOD beginning with the warm greeting at the door and the excellent attentive service!! Every server was smiling and after dinner I even had a conversation with our waiter while he was prepping silverware because we enjoyed his service so much (He had actually lived in New Jersey back in the day ). We learned our lesson from last year and three of us ordered their chicken soup which just as perfectly delicious as our memories reminded us. It just might be one of the best chicken soups I have sampled anywhere! I ordered tamals with my soup and they were oh so good!! I got two of the $0.59 Krystals and an order of chili cheese fries. I liked the simplicity of the Krystals with just onions and a pickle on a steamed bun. The fries were good too. I was really impressed compared to what I had been told. Fast forward two hours: Krystal is ripping through my intestinal tract like a brand new paper shredder with a stack of phone books. I had been warned of this but I didn't listen. Overall Krystal is okay. The food is good for the price but not for the upset stomach. Eat at your own risk.
