My only…read morecomplaint is there have been a few times we've driven over the mountain for LJS and we have to turn around as soon as we get to the front door due to the cash only sign. Being cash only isn't really a bad thing, just inconvenient since our bank shut down and we either have to pay to withdraw money from an atm or go to the business next store and buy something for cash back. We usually end up going to the restaurant closest to them that accepts card. But on the days they accept cards, we love to stop in and eat!

Its a small place and the current address I used wasn't the correct one but the place is just down the street. Everyone in there was super nice, I ordered and got my food pretty quick. I ordered 2 sandwiches Da ande - 8.5/10 Peach panini 9/10 My only complaint is I feel the amount of meat is lacking. I'm not one to want a thick sandwich so for me to think it needs more is saying something. This could be a personal preference so I won't let it negatively impact my rating since the flavors are good! Otherwise, I think it's a great little spot and enjoyed my experience!

You can taste the difference and I love that my farmer friends are supported. Well done Sandwiches are great! Peanut butter cake is great! And love the breakfast burritos that are made for Hazard Coffee on Fridays. May be my favourite place to eat in town!! They periodically have specials just check out the Facebook page. They're also posted on the sign outside. Yes, the hours are tough for someone not downtown and I'd love to see them open longer, but they really serve the businesses downtown and courthouse well AND they can be ordered through doordash! They also offer catering, which is amazing.

That's a pleasant change from some chain places with their barely above luke-warm offerings. As soon as a guest left, someone was there to wipe down the tables and sweep the area for the next guest. The breakfast burrito was gigantic, and tasty. It was easily large enough to serve two with the right mix of tomato, potato, eggs. Oh, and it may have been breakfast, but the banana split still tasted good even at ten in the morning. A classic small town DQ but with food that really hit the spot when you're on the road and don't want to stop for a full meal. The employees are pleasant, albeit aloof to strangers and make no secret they're talking about you. It's not just paranoia either. They look at you, nudge each other, whisper, and then all turn and look at you. Fortunately, I knew I didn't look like I'd just come in from an all-nighter. It was a little disconcerting It won't stop me from coming here again, though. They'll get used to it.

The ceiling tiles were sagging and there was an old guy among a group of folks talking about how to make sauce. The fry on the fish was excellent. The cornbread was probably left over from yesterday. The coleslaw was from KFC, I'm certain. The fried potatoes were too wet to tell if they'd been fried, they were brown so I'm assuming they were at some point. The soup beans tasted like someone dumped cans of pinto beans in a pot and added maybe some chicken broth and water and called it a day. The food came out FAST. I was surprised they didn't make their own tartar sauce, you get a little packet of hienz tartar sauce with your fish. Now, I get the feeling they make a mean breakfast. But we were here at 2pm. So, that's on us. We're just passing through on our way home from Bardstown and we are definitely not who their target market is. We try to avoid eating fast food during road trips because places like these are usually either the best thing you've ever had or the worst and you get a good story. Plus, we would rather support small businesses. Your place was just so-so for us unfortunately. Would I recommend it, probably not.
