So far, I have seen 3 different doctors (as they require you see each doctor in the practice when expecting). All the doctors I have met with have been wonderful and very pleasant to interact with so far. All of my questions were answered and they are very informative. Even their lab specialist (Mary) is fun and gentle. I'm a major needle phobic, and she took her time and tried to ease my anxiety while taking quite a bit of bloodwork from me. The nurse staff are just was wonderful and accommodating. The office is in the medical center which is super convenient for those "later in pregnancy" appts where they check to see if you are dilated. Therefore if you are in labor, you can just walk over to the maternity ward. Overall, I give the practice 5+ stars for excellent patient service, organization, attention to details, willingness to listen and answer your questions, and professionalism.

Some years I've gone more times if I've had particular issues. This year I showed up for my annual exam at approximately 4:15 PM. I thought my appointment was at 4:20 PM but in fact, it was at 4 PM. I was refused care and told that I needed to reschedule, because I was 5 minutes beyond the 10 minute rule... In other words, if you're 10 minutes late, you must reschedule. The waiting room was not packed and I offered to wait. I explained to the receptionist that this was the second reschedule for this annual exam. Still, she would not go ask the doctor and insisted that I reschedule. After 30 years of loyalty, this is a very frustrating treatment. So I will no longer be a patient at Women OB GYN. Traci Miller

I am truly shocked by the reviews of Chesapeake Women's Care.. I was recommended this practice by…read moreseveral neighbors in addition to my primary care physician. I wasn't sure who I wanted to go to, so I've seen several doctors for both OB and GYN. During my recent OB visits, I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Dr. Penn and Dr. Shuja. They are so thorough, answering all of my (many) questions during my first pregnancy and are always friendly and taking their time. I have not felt rushed by either of them at any time. I also have had Dr. Keith who I like as well. I don't love the hours, as I wish there were some longer hours to accommodate appointments outside of typical working hours but this is usually hard to find. My biggest complaint is that during COVID, they need to better communicate when their policy changes for visitors (during pregnancy appointments) as there have been times that my husband was allowed and he missed appointments or he took off work to come with me and then ended up not being allowed. It is essential that Chesapeake Women's Care finds a way to communicate this- through text, email, etc in appointment reminders with the policies constantly changing. The office staff is always friendly and helpful.

The lack of empathy and care they have towards their patients is insane. this is my first pregnancy and they've made it so stressful. i could go on and on about how bad my experience was... and the several wrong things leading up to this but i transferred care to a new OB and couldn't be happier with my choice to leave chesapeake. the care I received was less than the bare minimum. This should be a joyous time in my life and they've made it everything but that.

I have received excellent service. I would always schedule my appointments for the upcoming three months before leaving the office. I liked seeing all of the doctor's in the practice because it made me more comfortable with the idea of delivering to the on-call doctor. I had two doctor's for my first labor (it was long) and they were both great. I had one doctor for my second. I visited both the Crofton and Annapolis offices and found the office staff to be very friendly and professional. I only had one frustrating experience where I was running late and had to reschedule my ultra-sound. I was not pleased by the lack of flexibility, but it was ultimately my fault for not being on time. I highly recommend this group of OB/GYNs and also recommend planning ahead to avoid frustration with scheduling.
