This hotel is a great bang for your buck. I generally stay in mid town or close to Central Park, but changed it up and stayed by time square. Compared to other hotel rooms in NYC our room was quite spacious and CLEAN! Service was great from check in to check out. Concierge was pretty quick with response.

Great location and friendly staff. We had a small hiccup during our check in. Gentleman that helped us at check in seemed inexperienced but clarified with his manager to help address our questions during check in. Hotel room is a bit small. Amazing high floor view and nice light controls. Service was prompt. You can't go wrong with the location. They have a rooftop restaurant so make sure to check that out.

"Because filth is good...Whatta you think: rock stars have sponges and ammonia lyin' around the bathroom? They, they have a woman comin' over: "I've gotta tidy up? Yeah right, in these matters you never do what your instincts tell you. Always, ALWAYS do the opposite." -George Costanza, Seinfeld da Scene: In NYC for 10 days... spending 6 nights in mid-town Manhattan and the last four in Brooklyn. 1st time at the Hard Rock as we're doing more stuff close by this trip; catching Sunset Blvd, a Knicks game at MSG, and lots of eateries. da Setup: People say not to bother driving in the city, a true local boy from Oahu and current Californian, I LIKE MY CAR. I like the options, freedom and safety it affords us, especially when traveling. Rented a mid-size crossover and headed to 48th and 7th ave. and pre-arranged parking at a non-valet lot over on 47th, (separate review), just 5 min walk away. Had to contact the front desk to verify we had the right room as we reserved 2 queens but the Unity site had us in a King... don't like that uncertainty, I like to expect smooth sailing and do what I can beforehand; fingers crossed. da Scene: Upon arrival you drive up to the valet, and can get help with the bags... do that for check in and walk in, unfettered. Walkup the spiral staircase and take it in, stunning open space surrounding the Sessions area leading to the Front Desk. TIP the valet guys when they take your bags AND when they bring them to the room PLEASE... they work in the busiest environment in the US! da Stay: Staff is professional & available, building is secure (24 hrs.), public spaces are beautiful and up to Hard Rock standards. Location is right in the THICK of the energy & action. It's a non-stop roller coaster at all times. ONE THING would be the parking/valet situation... $85 a night and NO in/out, that's $500 and I can't use the car? NO WAY man... I had to get in touch with one of the lots nearby for a discounted monthly rate (so you get in/out privileges). da Room: We scored a high floor, the view was nice. Beautifully appointed, beds were comfy. Not generally a fan of in-room coffee, it was actually a nice one and had several espresso during the stay. Great shower, except water did run out on to the floor, so be careful. If there was a flaw, it's the attention to detail in the room. The fancy lighting controlled all lights (dim, on and off, you can't just have one light on (like in bed). Storage is tight for a multiple bed room where you expect 3-4 people w/ luggage to be staying. We got maybe 1/3 each into the closet and 2 small drawers; the rest stayed in the luggage with only one luggage rack, no where to store 'em While beautiful, it sacrifices function for form. Plenty of outlets (some USB), but the outlets are all loose, plugs would not stay IN. da Dining: Sessions is the 1st one you get to and we sat at the bar both times once for just drinks, but ate the 2nd time... pretty damn good, a real Cesar salad w/ anchovies, great bar fries and burger. Standout is the RT60 Rooftop Bar, great views, vibes, food & drink. Make reservations ahead of time for sunset views... no kiddos after 5pm, turns into a club-like atmosphere late afternoon, then DJ's take over when the sun goes down. da Service: Top notch, from Valets, to Front Desk, to Security, to housekeeping and Food & Bev. shout out to Antonio and Steven at the Sessions bar... great drinks and entertaining! While we don't spend a lot of time in mid-town generally, if we do in the future, we'd consider the Hard Rock again.

Another wonderful week at this Hotel. I learned my boss loves this hotel, which is why we keep coming back, and I'm so glad. I requested the same style room I had last time so no update photos necessary.... It looks identical :). This time, instead of the rooftop bar/restaurant, our company hosted us for dinner at The Venue, which is a club-like setting; however, it was set up with large round tables to accommodate our dinner. It is a beautiful "venue," the food was delicious, and the servers were excellent. I love that, when I work out of my room, I can push a button and housekeeping will not disturb me (no need for those doorknob "Do Not Disturb" signs. I also love that the staff sends me a text to check on me, and when I request more coffee and cups, someone brought it right up. Thanks for another great stay! Hopefully, I'll see you again soon.

If you are looking for a hotel that is clean, beautiful, provides excellent customer service, great location, etc., look no further! Hard Rock Hotel New York is the way to go. This is my second time visiting this location as it is located right in the middle of Time Square. It's conveniently located by some of your favorite places, such as, the M&M's World, Juniors Restaurant, Carmine's Italian Restaurant, Hard Rock Cafe, etc. Many attractions located in Time Square are walking distance from the Hotel. The rooms are beautiful and clean. I highly recommend anyone to book their next trip here.

I was so pleasantly surprised by my stay here! Normally when I'm in NYC, I try to avoid Times Square at all costs. But when I work trip came up during a time when hotel prices were surging, I had to look outside of the areas I regularly start to get a better deal. In the past, any hotel in Times Square I had stayed in the rooms were small and the hotels felt a lil shady and run down. But I figured if the motels were the same price as the Hard Rock, I'd be better off at the Hard Rock. Turns out this is actually a beautiful hotel. For some reason, I thought it would be corny but it really wasn't at all. It was clean and comfortable. The rooms was more spacious than expected and all of the staff working were so nice and professional. I even checked out the rooftop bar just for a look, and it wasn't too crowded but had a really nice view. While it's unlikely that I'll intentionally book in Times Square again any time soon, I can definitely say this would be my first choice and that overall I was impressed with my quality of stay!

We went back in December for more Theatre, and Christmas shopping. The Hotel still Amazing, this time the 19th floor with a balcony and wonderful views. Service again, awesome! This is just a top notch hotel and we'll be back again and again.

This hotel was amazing. This is the first time in a long time I have walked into my hotel room and smelled the cleanliness. The place was spotless. The cleaning people were amazing and did a great job. The hotel was very nice and in a great area. Will be back for sure.

Traveling during the holidays can be hectic, but the staff at the Park Hyatt made everything feel effortless. Every interaction -- from the front desk to housekeeping to the concierge -- was filled with genuine kindness, patience, and warmth. It was clear they weren't just doing their jobs; they truly cared about making our holiday special. The hotel itself is stunningly elegant yet incredibly comfortable. After long walks through Central Park, returning to our room felt like stepping into a peaceful retreat. The spaciousness, thoughtful details, and quiet luxury made it easy for our family to relax, laugh, and simply be together -- which is what the holidays are really about. We had our first breakfast in New York at the hotel's "the living room" which is located in the lobby. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful with modern decor and stunning 30 foot ceilings. We arrived at 7am as the restaurant just opened and Kamil greeted us with a warm genuine smile. We've stayed at 5 different Park Hyatts in the past 5 years (Kyoto being the most recent) and no one has made us feel as special as Kamil. He has the unique gift of hospitality. He went out of his way to treat us like family and made us feel very special. All of his small gestures, friendly smiles, and thoughtful attention to detail, turned simple moments into special memories. During a season meant for connection and joy, the Park Hyatt delivered both in abundance. Spending Christmas in New York is always special, but spending it at the Park Hyatt New York elevated the experience beyond anything we could have imagined. Our days were spent with full hearts, lasting memories, and deep gratitude for a team that understands true hospitality. This is a place we will return to -- not just for the luxury, but for the people who made us feel so genuinely at home during the most meaningful time of year.

Unfortunately, due to geopolitical instability impacting our return route through Amman and the broader Persian Gulf region, our travel plans became unworkable. I contacted multiple hotels involved in our itinerary, and every one of them demonstrated professionalism and understanding by waiving cancellation fees given the circumstances--including other Marriott properties and the Ritz-Carlton. This property, however, took a completely different approach. I spoke with Samir in the reservations department. He refused to provide any refund. We went back and forth multiple times, and each time he introduced a new justification. At one point, he claimed the U.S. State Department had not advised against travel to the Persian Gulf and that any warning had expired on March 31. I provided evidence that there was no expiration date, yet he continued to deny the request. I also explained that other Marriott properties and Ritz-Carlton locations had already issued full refunds under the same circumstances. Despite this, he continued to refuse any accommodation. Only after I told him I would be leaving a review about my experience did he offer a future credit. That is not a practical solution when I have no certainty of returning to Morocco. I then requested that a manager follow up with me. No one ever did. Communication stopped entirely. This response reflects a lack of flexibility, accountability, and basic customer consideration--especially when compared to how other properties under the Marriott International brand handled the exact same situation. As a result, I had to absorb the financial loss and cancel the reservation. Based on this experience, I recommend considering alternative accommodations that demonstrate greater responsiveness and professionalism when dealing with legitimate, unforeseen global disruptions.

Bonus-it was clean!! The iPad system to control the room is clever: manage the thermostat, tv, blinds/shades and lights. It takes a minute for the iPad to connect (not sure if it's a wifi issue or that these iPads are an older model). Speaking of the thermostat, it kinda worked. I think it shuts off or scales back when there's no movement in the room. I had a hard time getting it cooled down to a good temperature, so I didn't sleep as well as I would have liked. The bed is very comfortable, though...and even with the small space, there are plenty of places to hang clothes and store items. Several outlets and USB charging stations available as well. There aren't any washcloths - just hand/body towels... and it's up to you if you want to have your room lightly cleaned or fully turned over. (See your iPad to make that option). There was only one elevator working, so it could take a few minutes to get your lift up or down. The staff that we engaged with were great. Check in and out were super easy. The lobby is pretty cool and hip. There's a small rooftop bar/lounge and a nice sized food/canteen area in the lobby. The location is outstanding. 50th just off 8th Ave...right in the heart of Times Square and walking distance to many other destinations. I would stay here in the future...2-3 nights is perfect. Just make sure if you're traveling with a companion (and sharing a room) that you REALLY like them.

Prime location! Modern, spacious rooms (for the city)!…read more The elevators though.... Oy. I stayed at this hotel over the New Years holiday and was thrilled to be so close to Madison Square Garden and Times Square. As was expected, check in was a bit chaotic given the time of year. The ground floor entrance was PACKED with luggage on first arrival. After weaving our way through, we located the check-in desk on the 5th or 6th floor. Tons of people but adequate seating to wait for our room to be ready. An upper floor meant having to figure out their dreaded elevator system. It left something to be desired, to say the least. With only 3 elevators that service the whole of the hotel, and a 4th that goes who knows where, it was almost always a lengthy struggle to catch one. No buttons on the interior of the carriage, all elevators were called with a touchscreen device that seemingly tried to pack as many people as possible into one small space, leaving many behind that couldn't fit, before directing the passengers to another elevator to repeat the whole process over again. One day was so bad, it was actually preferable to walk up the stairs to the 14th floor. Woof. The room itself was wonderful. Spacious, with 2 beds. Very clean. Beautiful view of the city and the arena next door. Great way to catch the sun set. Walk in shower with both an overhead and handheld shower attachment. Great lighting. Shower had heavily frosted glass that faced the bedroom area so be prepared for your silhouette to be on full display for anyone you may be rooming with. Nice sized closet, safe, and mini fridge. Big flat screen television. Window shade worked very well to block out the light if you're hoping to sleep in late. Walls can be a bit thin, especially if you have a rowdy bunch of kids right next door as we did. Aside from the elevators, the perks far outweighed the usual peskier elements (e.g., noise, etc.) one encounters when staying away from home. Would stay here again, perhaps during a less busy time of year, if that's even possible.
