Perfect location for visiting Times Square!! We arrived really early, and were worried about our check in time, however guest services allowed us to check in early. The hotel is fairly large with a restaurant/ bar and multiple lounging areas to work or relax. Our room was nice, clean, and the views were decent. The bathroom is always my first stop to make sure it's clean. Check check check....shower was spacious, and refreshing. The only complaint is that we called 3 times for fresh towels and never received them. We ended up walking down to the desk to retrieve some and even then we had to wait for someone to bring them up. read more

Very very please with this hotel. Staff is great and extremely kind, the room is updated and nice and it's right in the middle of Broadway which I like. The hotel is gorgeous inside and they have a lounge that has a live DJ and the music is actually good. Very impressed with my stay, only feedback I have is although the room looked initially clean I noticed some dog hairs on the couch and old dust? Or lint? Something as small as that can be taken care of with a lint roller and there was no hand soap in the bathroom however there was fresh wrapped "beauty" soap and a full size bottle of lotion. The shower itself looked beautiful and well made. Also I could not find the room service menu? I don't believe they have room service? Which would be nice if your jet lagged and just wanna order and have it delivered and be done. However the lounge downstairs has breakfast, lunch and dinner service and open till 12am. Other than that will plan a stay here in the future. 4/5 for me. read more

The Hyatt Regency Times Square is located in prime real estate steps from theater, dining, entertainment, and offsite meeting spaces like Convene where we had our northeast team meeting. As is common with many downtown properties, the reception is above Street, level. In this case, take your escalator or elevator up to the lobby for a very professional and straightforward check-in experience. There is a restaurant on site, but I did not use it so I cannot speak to the food and beverage Quality. The check-in experience is professional, polite, friendly, and helpful. It's worth noting that our travel was over a blizzard that hit New York City pretty hard. Per expectations, New Yorkers are not phased, and everything went smooth smoothly. The elevators are smooth and fast. A short walk along a very well manicured and maintained hallway to a corner view double queen room with magnificent views of the Hudson River. I would have loved to see the sunset, but we were scheduled to dine as guests of the Knickerbocker. I can imagine how impressed Travelers will be if they are lucky enough to get this vantage point from the city, across the Hudson River toward the shores of New Jersey. The linens were immaculate, as was the shower, stall and carpet. One odd thing about this room was that upon entering, the first view was of a closet with no doors. It's a bit odd, but once I turned the corner, the view was captivating. This floor allowed for a small table and two barrel chairs. There was no art on the walls. If it were not for the spectacular view, the room could've been in any location and any upscale hotel. But it was New York City and the view spoke volumes. The staff is well trained and delivered above expectations, particularly given the additional complications and travel restrictions during the blizzard. I was grateful for being hosted there and would highly recommend this hotel property for a discerning, well traveled mid or senior management team. read more

This is a brand-new Hyatt Regency with a modern look and a very comfortable room. The bed was excellent, the bathroom felt new and well finished, and overall the physical condition of the hotel is solid. The location is exactly what you expect for Times Square: central and convenient, but extremely busy. Elevator waits can be long during peak times. The main disappointment was how elite benefits were handled. As a World of Hyatt Globalist, my status was acknowledged, but complimentary breakfast was limited to a grab-and-go option only. There was no restaurant breakfast, no points, and no alternative offered. When I raised the issue, I was told this was simply how the property operates. Hyatt Regency is not an exempt brand, and consistency in loyalty benefits is a big reason guests choose Hyatt. The hotel itself has a lot of potential, but the approach to loyalty recognition needs improvement. read more

Absolutely loved It here. Not sure if It is brand new or just renovated but It is EXCELLENT. We are a family of 3 with a teenage boy. Rented a 2 queen bed room. It was spacious. Extremely clean and comfortable. We ended up with a NW corner room. Had open expansive views that we can see the river and Jersey on the other side in the distance. Great spot for tourism. I had a king room for a few nights, which was mostly nice, and notably large for a midtown hotel room at that price level. The problem was the service and lack of basic amenities. When I got to my room, I called to ask for a clothes iron & ironing board, as well as a luggage rack. I was told the hotel had no irons or ironing boards, but that there is a travel steamer in the bathroom. It's bananas for a hotel at this price point not to have irons. You simply can't get the same result with a travel steamer than you can get with an iron: I had a shirt I couldn't wear because I couldn't get it to look presentable enough for a work meeting using the steamer. I was also told someone would be on the way with a luggage rack, but after an hour none came, so I called back. A different person answered the phone, who said the hotel has no luggage racks! I don't know what's crazier: a Hyatt Regency not having luggage racks or an employee saying they'd send a luggage rack to my room when there are none! The restaurant situation in the hotel is also very meh, but fortunately there are a million good food options nearby. read more

I was hesitant to book at first because of some negative reviews, but I'm so glad I did. Check-in was exceptional--I arrived before 11am and was able to get a room right away on a high floor with a stunning Times Square view. The front desk even asked if I needed a late checkout, which was a nice touch. The room itself was newly renovated, very clean, and felt luxurious. The location couldn't be better. Broadway, endless dining options, and the subway are all just steps away, and the hotel literally opens right into Times Square. Despite facing the Square, I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet the room was, aside from the occasional car honk. From the 39th floor, the view was fantastic and perfect for people-watching. The staff were excellent across the board--friendly, helpful, and attentive. I especially appreciated the bellman and the little touches like complimentary coffee and water near the lobby. If you have Hyatt status, they also provide free bottled water, which came in handy. Overall, I had a wonderful stay and highly recommend this hotel. Hyatt delivers a level of quality and service that really sets it apart--it's far superior to my experiences with IHG properties. read more

Instead, my family was met with an environment of targeted hostility, religious profiling, and predatory financial conduct. Upon arrival, I was singled out for a "security" protocol that staff explicitly admitted does not exist as an official property policy. After observing my religious attire (hijab), an agent seized my government identification and removed it to a restricted area for over 35 minutes across two instances. During this window of time, I personally witnessed multiple non-Muslim guests processed at the counter without their documents ever leaving their sight. While in unmonitored possession of my identification and credit card, the hotel executed two unauthorized charges totaling $1,498.04 for reservations that were already fully prepaid via Priceline. When my husband and I presented physical proof of the original payments, the management issued a material misrepresentation, claiming the booking was "too old" to locate, despite it being confirmed only days prior. Rather than resolving the billing error, the manager mocked our distress and made disparaging comments regarding our "energy". The remainder of my stay was spent walking on eggshells. I felt completely unable to approach the front desk for assistance, as the environment was one of intimidation rather than hospitality. My sole priority became ensuring the safety of my children until we could safely check out and document these civil rights violations. I have initiated formal proceedings with the New York Attorney General and the NY Division of Human Rights. Last Year, my siblings and I stayed overnight at this physical location when it was the Crowne Plaza. The hotel was bought out by Hyatt and renovated, which my brother and I found out this past February when we tried to book our trip for our birthday. Renovations were not scheduled to be completed until September. However, the renovations were completed 2 months ahead of schedule which allowed my brother, sister and I to spend our birthday once again, in Times Square at a familiar hotel. The difference Pre and Post renovation are night and day, the rooms were remodeled beautifully and now include a mini fridge which the rooms did not have last year unless you requested one at a an additional charge unless it was medically necessary. The staff were amazing and check-in was a breeze and our room was ready about 45 minutes before we were supposed to check in at 3pm. For those who are knocking the hotel and it's staff, please have some patience and grace. Many of the employees from the Crowne Plaza were hired by Hyatt as part of the acquisition. Most if not all are still learning an entirely new system and as a "new" hotel there will be glitches and bugs that will happen along the way. Overall, my siblings and I once again had a blast and look forward to staying here again in August 2026! read more

Nice staff, beautifully renovated, nice room.... BUT, our second room (2114) was slanted....as in one side of the room is about 3 inches lower than the other. You sleep with your head below your feet.... And the biggest detractor, no club. For elite members at a new REGENCY property, top end property...and NO CLUB!? The location is everything! You are literally right behind the "Red Steps" in Times Square. More importantly, the hotel is definitely a force to be reckoned with! My only complaint was that the air conditioning in my room wasn't working properly for a few days. Other than that, the room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. I requested a robe, and it was brought up immediately! The customer service is unmatched. The doorman, bellman, and front desk staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming. Although it was busy, they handled the crowd with professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency. My room wasn't ready when I arrived, but they accommodated my luggage until it became available. The elevators were readily available and fast! (40th floor) One other point to note is that the hotel doesn't have any dining options, and they didn't provide the typical Hyatt breakfast amenities. However, they mentioned that they had only been open for about two months, so these features are forthcoming. (Unfortunately, this didn't change the pricing.) The staff was wonderful. BUT the amenities are seriously lacking. No bar. No restaurant, No coffee maker in the room. No concierge or anyone to help. Needed to get to New Jersey on the train. They printed out a page with one way fares going but turning but the cartridge was almost out of ink so you couldn't read the whole thing. There are no glasses in the room. Paper cups only so if you want to bring your own wine you must stink out of paper cups. They completely jumped the gun and opening this hotel. They should've waited until they had at least the barn restaurant. read more

Do not stay at this hotel at whatever rate they offer!!! Great location, but unorganized and bad service. Also, there was a bunch of hold fees when checking in on top of actual hotel charges. Then, when checking out, they only reimbursed some of it back even in the invoice after did not mention those charges. And don't even bother contacting their billing department, operators or whatever front desk there is, no one would pick up or return back your voice mails. If any luck at all the front desk does pick up, they wouldn't even look into it first but told you to just email the billing department if calling didn't work. That's the BEST they can do!!!! Such a pity that this hotel is within Hyatt network and situated in a prime location, ONLY to have horrible customer service and management. read more

It was a very shocking and unpleasant incident that occurred during our recent Thanksgiving trip to New York. We arrived at the Hyatt Regency Times Square around 6:30 PM on Saturday, November 22 2025. The front desk agent who checked us in was a tall, Chinese-looking male staff member whose name I could not identify because his jacket was decorated with multiple Pokémon pins covering his name tag. Despite our Globalist status, he did not provide any information regarding available benefits or breakfast service, which left us confused the next morning. The bigger issue began after check-in. Basic complimentary items such as shampoo, body wash, and bottled water were already insufficient for our family of four. The next morning, before leaving the hotel, we requested refills to prevent inconvenience for our family. However, when we returned to our room at 8 PM, nothing had been replenished. We made another request around 8:30 PM, but again, no service was provided. As a result, our entire family had to use body wash as shampoo that night. It was not until I called again at 11:30 PM--this time clearly upset--that someone finally brought only one cotton swab, one cotton pad, and a single bottle of shampoo. The housekeeper who delivered the items even questioned why I was angry, stating that he was not the person who took the original request. He then called the receptionist in front of me, almost in a mocking way, insisting that it was not his fault. This behavior was extremely unprofessional and insulting. read more

This hotel was great. It was clean and very quiet so we slept very well. It is centrally located to all the wonderful things and activities NYC has to offer. It has recently been redone so it is beautiful . Great view from our room and the staff was very nice and helpful. DO NOT STAY HERE!!! THEY ARE SO UNORGANIZED AND RUDE!!! I was celebrating a bachelorette trip. I called a day before and they guaranteed early check in at 11am. I got there at 12pm and the room was not ready and it would be ready at 3pm (When Check In was) and would receive a text when my room was ready. At 3pm I tried to get my room and they told me my room was not ready and it was still be a long while. I went to a broadway show and come back around 6pm. The line is huge. I waited about 1.5 hours in line just for them to tell me it's getting cleaned and will be ready in about 20 minutes. How will they say check out is 11am and check is at 3pm and they have no rooms available and clean at 6pm, 7 hours after check out. The front desk is extremely rude. I never got a text saying my room is ready and forget it if you are a world of hyatt member, you don't get treated any better. While waiting in line I heard people complain about getting suck in the elevator for 30 minutes, the wifi not working and key cards not working after multiple back and forth trips to the lobby.
