Nice! all the servers who helped us were incredibly friendly. Food portions were a lot, none of us could finish so we had leftovers! Drinks were delicious for sure. Music wasn't overly loud and had a nice ambience. Bathrooms were upstairs but the waiter told the elderly in our party they could use the downstairs if it was easier. Only complaint is that the nachos could have had more traditional yellow cheese rather than the whiter drizzle on top. read more

We arrived in Cologne around 11:30am and attempted to check into our hotel but our room wasn't ready yet. With about 2 hours to kill we walked the streets to Hard Rock. When we arrived there was a small line forming and they hadn't started seating people yet. A few minutes later we were seated and our server was great. We started off with a beer and a drink and then looked over the menu for a few minutes. Desperately craving some American food we went with the club sandwich and chicken tenders. Our food was brought out in a reasonable amount of time and it was amazing! The club sandwich was delicious and so were the fries. The chicken tenders were light, crispy and juicy. We hadn't eat that day or the night before so this was exactly what we needed. It took a little bit to get our bill but overall the experience was great! read more

This is not an overly flashy Hard Rock, but it has an upper floor that allows from sights onto the street below. The classic screens we're playing great music and one of the highlights was having the whole dining room sing to someone for their birthday. With either dining room not being overly large, this would stand out as a memory. The classic menu that is circulating in most Hard Rock Cafe these days. The vegetarian burger is quite tasty as is the beet salad. Everyone in there was nice and there were people who spoke English. This Hard Rock Cafè in the center town of Cologne seemed to be small compared to those I know in the US. Anyhow. We were here for Gamescom and had some time so we entered the place. First impression was good overall but crowded - Waiter was friendly but it took some time until we were seated. They placed us below Jimmi Hendrix´s jacket so we had a good view across the room. I ordered the "Legendary Burger", one of us had the Cesar´s Salad with Shrimps and the other one ordered the Hickory Style Burger. The food was one of the best burgers I ever had. It was really tasty. the Bacon was kind of salty...... fries looked somehow handmade (for sure they weren't´)..... Parking is expensive - we put our car into the Dorint Hotel´s parking Garage and payed 10 Euro. but it was worth every Euro. Would I go here again? YAY!. I´d do! read more

I never thought I would be giving a chain a well deserved 4 stars. But here I am folks, take a picture, because this is really happening! I came here with fellow Yelpies for the burgertour. To be honest, I already doubted this place before walking in. I knew what I was getting myself into.. a place that exists all over the world, more famous for their ambiance than their food! However, I went in, ordered my small burger with onion rings, and gave it a try. Things to note that contributed to my 4 star experience: 1) The staff was extremely warm and welcoming. This is really not typical in Germany as service in restaurants aren't typically a "go out of your way to please" type of attitude. This was nice to see! 2) There was an in-house "music man" that came around with his ipad asking you for song requests. While fellow burger indulgers were wanting to hear rock, I jumped at the opportunity to hear some Depeche Mode, cuz I "Just Can't Get Enough!" :) 3) The burger was juicy! Although I requested for medium rare, it came out medium.. which is okay because that is what I really wanted. However, in most places I've been to in Germany, when I ask for medium rare to medium, it comes out well down... 4) The flavor of the burger was good! 5) Ketchup and mustard bottles were on the table! :) read more

Came here twice: once for a yelp WM event, where the food was good (burgers with various toppings and sauces). Second time was a bit disappointing. The ambiance and customer service is great here, and my nostalgic self loves an American-style restaurant. However, the last time we were here, the quality of the food was really lacking. I ordered the nachos and a friend ordered a burger. Both are overpriced, but I can stomach a higher price if the food is worth it. Portions were large, but the nachos were just. not. good. Soggy ingredients did not taste fresh and were slopped on disproportionately. I get that I can't expect true American-style sports bar nachos here in Germany, but a subpar untasty knockoff is sad. Three stars for friendly service and spacious nice location, but please pick up your game when it comes to the overall most important aspect of dining- food! Hoping the staff will read this and make some improvements, because I do so want to like this place! read more

The Great thing about Hardrock Café is that every restaurant is basically the same. Good food, great servers, cool memento. Take note of the pulled pork sandwich and the Tuppelo chicken tenders. They are sooooo good :-). One thing stood out in Koln. The music was not very 'hard rock'. In HR Amsterdam the ost is loud all the time. Here not that much. read more

Well as part of our Cologne Burger tour we came here & i have to say OMG! I forgot how good this place is! The burgers are AWESOME! It was perfectly cooked, the flavor was great, bacon was... BACON nuff said! Typical US A/C was at MAX. Music was good, a bit too loud to have a proper conversation, awesome Staff, really friendly and competent. The only 'but' here is the price, is kind of expensive, but, HRC is always so. But you really get a great service, great food & of course they have Corona! read more

When you're in the mood for belt-loosening burgers and fries this is the place to be. Easy to locate. In the downtown (Zentrum) area of the city. One of the smaller Hard Rock locations that I've visited. Factoid: military id card holders get 20% off the total bill. read more

When you're in the mood to have some American eats - something easy and familiar, the HRC is a great place to stop. It is located in the heart of the city and offers traditional American fare. The inside is, of course, decorated up with Rock memorabilia. My husband and I have had a few good lunches here, the food is always pretty good. The service, however, can be painfully slow. What can I say about this place? Everyone's been to a HRC, and they are all very similar. The atmosphere is good and upbeat, and the music playing is always familiar. Our waiter got us started in on some stiff drinks and kept them coming. The menu is pretty expensive, but hey -- that's any trendy place in Europe. I had one of their variety of burgers cooked medium. When it came out, is was super well-done (as in overcooked), but it was still tasty. The air conditioning was out of order (and it was about 32 C outside), but the downstairs was still reasonably cool. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The rock and roll artifacts (which are a key reason to eat here) were basically OK. If you like hair bands, you're in luck. We had an appetizer plate and a cobb salad and some sort of elaborate sandwich. There was far too much food, which explained the prices. Have been to 10 in diffrent countries. The sales staff were very helpful in gift shop. Asked for rewards number, which we did not know so they looked up and have purchase credit. Being from California the server/hostess could pick up our accent and asked which part. The server was from a city close to home and provided great insight and recommendations. Stumbled across this place while walking around and decided to eat here because it was on my list of things to do before leaving Cologne. The servers were nice--I wasn't sure about mine at first, but chalked it up to a cultural difference or language barrier because it didn't seem intentional, but warmed up to her after chatting a bit while paying my bill. Traditional and typical HRC fare, which is 9 times out of 10, delicious. I have been to probably about 30 HRCs and this one is good but seems to be lacking something. The ambiance, the rockin' feel isn't what I had expected. But looking at the front of the place as well, It looks like a plain modern building with the HRC Logo out front. I was hesitant to go because of the price and how busy it can be but, was pleasantly surprised at how quickly we were seated for a Saturday night. It took a while for our waiter, whatever his name was...he never said, to come over. I got the Hickory barbeque bacon cheeseburger and it was bland to say the least. There was bacon and cheese, but no bbq sauce and the beef patty, though large, was pretty flavorless. And again there was NO bbq sauce on it at all. My daughter got the kids cheese pizza and the tomato sauce was the worst I've ever tasted on a pizza. She didn't like it much either. Great location, directly in the hard of Cologne. The restaurant was kinda packed and we got just a super small table, BUT we got our meals super quickly.
