I eat GinTonic with a Spoon because #YOLO

This place is really AWESOME! The bar is pretty small, but has some amazing cocktails. The whole atmosphere is really cool. They greet every guest in a friendly way, you get the Menu and a glass of water. We even got a small glass with Gin&Tonic Slurpee like stuff. Pretty cool. Hey mom look i eat my Gin&Tonic with a spoon! LOL On the menu are a good selection of cocktails, some are their own creation, the owner Alessandro Romano prepares everything himself. But, also if you want something different, like me, i asked for a Singapore Sling, that's not on the Menu, was not a problem at all, or you can even create your own cocktail. Prices are from 9-14€ more or less. Before this place opened, he was in the Burj Al Arab in Dubai, and together with Felix Hartmann created the Drink 27321 that was in the Guinness World Records as the most expensive cocktail in the world. Like i said, the place is small but really cozy, and Alessandro and his wife are extremely friendly and really careful with the details. He goes personally to each guest and check if everything is OK, and you can ask him for suggestions. All cocktails are done with top quality ingredients, fresh pressed juices and good spirits. The price is absolutely right, maybe 1 or 2€ more than other places, but that's the price of Quality and Service! Totally recommended, besides that, you get always a glass of cold water and popcorn with truffle oil that taste amazing. I'm really glad i came to this place, and even though the place is reviewed and qualified as Classy, it's totally relaxed, no stupid dress code. Class is not something you can wear. You either have it, or you don't, your clothes don't make you who you are. If you're into really nice cocktails, this is the place to go. If your consumption is over 25€ you can also pay with CC, so it's totally OK. BTW Ona Mor is actually Romano spelled backwards.

Best cocktails in cologne area and got a very traditional bar culture, talkative and friendly personnel, incredible cocktails and very good music.

Tiki cocktail (not trader vic's but the other one).

Let me just get right into the details.. I like this place, I really do! But, there are some…read morefactors that with improvement, I would like it even better! 1) Great music.. No offense, Europe, but I'm sick of listening to JUST house music or American oldies.. this place plays a great mix of mash ups/top 40s that includes the house music, but doesn't limit their playlist to only include this. 2) Two floors- this place has an upstairs and a downstairs. Upstairs is more lounge feel, just to hang out and get some drinks. Downstairs is where you should plan to get your dance on! However, get ready to be up close and personal, because there is absolutely no room to move around too much.. it's basically a small room, with not a lot of space, and a ton of people. 3) Drinks- The drinks were made stiff, but it takes a bit of time to get your drink. The staff is definitely bombarded with people hootin' and hollerin' with some orders, so be prepared to be patient.

Harry's New York Bar was on…read moremy list of the most reviewed (with a good rating) bars in Cologne (though you won't see as much Yelp activity in Germany compared to the States), and it was conveniently located to where we were at the time, so we stopped by for a drink half an hour before they closed. Ambiance (3.5/5): Harry's New York Bar is located in a hotel, though the bar has its own entrance, too. Think of it as an elegant hotel bar. Comfortable seating. Spacious. Along with a long bar which has some bar seating as well. So why not a higher rating for their ambiance? Well, this is pretty wild but there was a rat walking around while we were there. We told the bartender about it, but he didn't seem too concerned with the situation. I sure hope rats are not frequent guests here! Service (4/5): Outside of the rat situation, our bartender did a good job. Service in Europe doesn't tend to be terribly attentive, friendly, or efficient. And in Germany, they will often kick you out right when it's closing time. Not the case here. The bartender let us stay for a good while after they closed. Which I always appreciate. They even give you some snacks to munch on with your cocktail. That was a nice touch. Food (N/A): Outside of the complimentary snacks, we had dinner prior so I was on a liquid diet. Drinks (4.5/5): You would think that Harry's New York Bar is an American bar given the name. That's what I thought initially. I was wrong. Harry was a famous bartender in the U.K. who invented several famous cocktails. So that's what you should have here. They have a solid list of craft cocktails, many of them with an interesting blend of flavors and ingredients. I was happy with mine, though you will pay a premium here since it's a hotel bar. Harry's New York Bar has locations across the world. I was happy to check out my very first one in Cologne.

It gets a little loud but that's fine because the lobby it's connected to is a bit more of a chill space. Great service and overall and excellent bar in a town full of great bars.
