Caesar salad

The ambiance at this restaurant, particular where we sat outside on the boardwalk at sunset was very nice. You can see the tarpon swimming around and enjoy the views. The staff was also very nice, attentive and we never waited too long to order or receive our food. The food was unfortunately where this place kinda let me down. For appetizers, we ordered the bang bang shrimp, a Caesar salad and the spinach artichoke and crab dip. The shrimp were good and tasty, the dip was a little underwhelming. For dinner, my partner and I both ate the skin fried snapper special. The rice was noticeably undercooked, the skin on the snapper was still a little soft and very much not crispy or fried at all despite the dish name. For dessert I had the chocolate mousse which I can recommend, I did enjoy that. However I probably wouldn't reorder anything else I had tonight aside from maybe the bang bang shrimp.

Enjoyed wahoo ceviche for an appetizer. Blackened fresh tuna for the main dish was perfectly prepared. Great view of the water and boardwalk. Appreciated the friendly service from Briana.

We had a lovely dinner at Harbour Prime last night. First of all, Briana was delightful. She knew her menu and what to suggest, but not only that she kept coming back and checking to make sure everything was perfect, tossing in nuggets about the island. We will look into a few of those today. Hubby had the Surf & Turf and said it was one of the best lobsters he ever tasted, and the steak was just as he likes it. I had the special Wahoo fish plate with more flavors than I can list. Delish! The mushrooms in garlic cream before our meal was fantastic and make sure to have their rum cake after. So moist, but not wet like some I've tasted. I only gave 4 stars on atmosphere because of the open windows concept which allowed a breeze but also bugs, but it is an island after all. It was extremely clean, not bug infested just flying pests. *Note: they have the prettiest bathroom I've seen in 5 days on the island. A must visit.

Came here on Saturday, 7/26 around 7pm. We had a party of 9, they sat us fairly quickly but that would be the end of a quick service. We put in our drinks orders. I ordered a spicy Bloody Mary, the server said she would have to check if the can make it. After 20 min she said they could, everyone got their drinks within min 30ish minutes. It took over 40 minutes to get my drink. It was okay. I ordered the lobster fritter as an app, w/ our meals. The other guest ordered appetizers as their meals. My kids also got an app & 3 meals at their table. All appetizers came out. The lobster fritters were still cold on the inside, so I let the server know & she said they would remake the. 25 min later she let us know they apparently refired & burnt them 2x. She asked if I wanted anything to replace them & told her I didn't want anything, just to bring the kids food. The kids food came out and was okay. Me & my husband still had to wait an extra 15 min for our food after everyone had gotten & ate thier food. 2 of my guest had to leave. We finally got our 2 plates at 8:30pm. It was okay. We got the passion fruit cheesecake hoping it would be a saving grace. It was a very small slice for $12, but it was decent. The bill came with added gratuity, but the fritters were still on there, so I let her know & she got it removed. Out server was very nice but was not the most attentive, we ran out of water and there was no checking in with is to let us know anything about our meals, the mishaps or how much longer it would be. The restaurant is open air, but on the water. Might be a bit warm if your not used to it. I would only recommend this place if you want to try the bang bang chicken skewers. Over all the food was okay but not worth the price or having to deal with bad service or long wait times. I was raised on STX and come back to visit a lot & I was looking forward to this.

Harbour Prime is a newer addition to the Christiansted dining scene and stands out as one of the few restaurants open 'late' by St. Croix standards. The food is good. Service is generally decent, and the atmosphere is inviting. If you're looking for a reliable spot for a late dinner in Christiansted, Harbour Prime is worth a visit.

The large lobster - there was an even bigger one available!

The tuna special was also delightful. The tuna was plentiful and flavorful, very fresh. My entree was the Wagyu special. It was very tasty, the au jus was fantastic. The cut of meat was small but as is with Wagyu. For dessert we had the banana bread. This was my favorite part of the meal! I almost ordered another one. It was soooo sweet and salty and warm and gooey. The caramel drizzle just amplified the flavor. Ambiance was nice. Nicely lit and decorated. There didn't seem to be outdoor seating available. Inside was quite loud. Service was great! Our server was attentive and had good recommendations.

One of us had the crab cake special and they enjoyed that and the 4th in our party had the sirloin which they enjoyed but of course compared to the Wagyu - no comparison. Actually we had not found well crafted cocktails on our trip to the island until we found Estera. The waitresses were attentive without being annoying and they were also fun. The atmosphere was cute, a small upscale location with an open kitchen - which I personally love. Will be back!!

The mac and cheese was really creamy and delicious. And the chicken wings were so well seasoned that our entire party devoured them in seconds. Our server, David, came and greeted us a few minutes after we were seated, told us about the specials, and provided us with menus. Our table was a bit sticky so we mentioned it to the David who informed us that there was some sort of issue with the finishing on our table as well as some of the other tables in the dining area. I was a little surprised that these tables had that type of issue and were still being used by customers in the dining area. my nephew visited this restaurant a few times before. He was excited for me to try a drink that he ordered last time he visited, TAMARIND OLD FASHIONED, so we both ordered one. The drink was not as my nephew remembered it; he said he could actually taste the tamarind and it was a really good drink. What we received tonight, was mixed differently. It tasted like angostura bitters and a ton of alcohol. It was very strong and neither of us could taste the tamarind flavor in it. I mentioned it to David, and he had the bartender add some more tamarind syrup and ice to the mixture. When he brought it back, it was OK but still not tasting as my nephew experienced it the last time he was there. We ordered appetizers and main courses. My nephew thoroughly enjoyed the beef appetizer special. I ordered the bay scallops appetizer special. The scallops were cooked well but I wasn't too crazy about the sauce. I ordered one of the entrée specials for tonight, the little neck clams with linguine. I've ordered a similar dish at other restaurants before so I typically enjoy it. The al dente style of the linguine was perfect but the entire dish was way too salty. The linguine was salty and the clams were salty. It also had too much butter. I mentioned to David to let the chef know that the dish was too salty. He said OK and left. My nephew's meal was OK. He liked the salmon special that he ordered but contemplated asking for the salmon to be cooked a little bit more well done. He opted to not do that and instead take it home and prepare it the way he likes it. He ordered a side of macaroni and cheese as well but didn't like it too much so also decided to take that home to add his favorite seasonings. Based on my experience at the restaurant tonight, I am rating this visit as a 3. The food did not stand out. The dishes, particularly my dishes, could have used some improvements: however, the scenery is absolutely beautiful.

We told them that we had just gotten married (at the synagogue in Charlotte Amalie 4 hours earlier) & she was so excited to be in charge of our experience. She made wonderful food and drink recommendations and was happy to take pictures of us. She added so much to an already great meal. Now to the food. My husband ordered the soup of the day, a lobster seafood chowder with bacon. Very lobster forward with large chewy chunks of moist lobster meat. Then we ordered the surf & turf to share. It was a double stuffed lobster (Caribbean lobster stuffed with a lobster "crab" cake), fluffy mashed potatoes, & an arugula salad. The turf we chose (you can pick from any of the steaks they offer) was a waygu skirt steak with a garlic bacon butter sauce. We also ordered a side of bourbon bacon Brussels sprouts. We finished up with the crème brûlée. We kept looking at each other in disbelief throughout the meal. "Can you believe how good this is?!" all over our faces. Be sure to book dinner around sunset, because you will not find a better sunset anywhere on the island. It's truly magical. This is where Christy shined again. Not only did she take us outside to a prime photo spot and take pics for us, she pointed out the islands we could see from the restaurant. I could not recommend this restaurant more. Excellent food, service, views, and overall experience.

It was the place to grab a plate of food before heading into shift work. El Sol Bar & Restaurant is a what many locals refer to as a "Santo Bar" or establishment run by Dominicanas (ex-pats from the island of Santo Domingo). This gem is located off the beaten path to most and I would never expect a tourist or visitor to find it on their own. Quickest way to it is to travel EAST, past Sunny Isles on Centerline Road. When you the Sion Farm Traffic Light, make a RIGHT and drive SOUTH. Look for it on your LEFT on the side of the road. El Sol has parking lots on either side of it & also street parking (if it gets that crowded). There are 3 sections to this establishment: * There is an exterior walk-up order area where you can see the food available for the day in the windows. You then point to what you want and they bring it to the cashier for you to pay. * Alternatively, there's also an interior bar where you can order drinks and food as well. A music jukebox and TVs keep you company while you wait for your orders. * Lastly, there's an interior seating area that is spacious and good for groups. Because it is isolated by a door, it makes for more private dining. El Sol has an extensive menu and it is comprised of pork, beef, chicken, fish, conch, many starches & provisions and a few veggies. I recommend their chicharrones (fried chicken), stew fish, porter house steak, their conch and fish. Please keep in mind the times that you visit while ordering food. Sometimes you may find one of their food options in a tray almost empty. When this happens, ask them if they are going to refill it and how long that may take. This will give you an opportunity for the freshest food selection. If you're in a rush, I recommend Calling-In your order ahead of time to confirm order availability. Overall, I recommend El Sol Bar & Restaurant and Ive enjoyed eating here over the years. I've been a patron for many years and years to come.

Wait time to collect food is ridiculous! Even if you call your order in you still have to wait long.read more
