They were cut out of slops and when you were in you could not use the steps or waste barrel so the waste water was building up underneath the caravan. If your waste outlet was at the back you might be alright but mine is at the side. I thought this setup was very strange and in saying that they were not all the same some were normal as in most camp sites. Other than that everything else was great. There was some lovely scenery in the area and plenty of things to do like the Michael Collins museum which is great value for money and very interesting. All in all i would definitely try it again but without the dug out pitch.

We went down with a caravan, to have a few days of rest at this campsite. It was our first and…read moreDEFINITELY our last camp there ever! Do not know how this campsite is a 4 star campsite! We have been to a few already! This is one of the worst ones yet! We could not use a normal kettle. Had to use the campers kitchen, as there are rediculous wattage limits (do not know why we had to pay for power point). The power points are also unsafe, as not specific for each caravan pitch. You have to use an extension/lead!!!!!!!! Dare not use the shop as you will pay €4,50 for one bar of Dove soap! None of the pitches were straight! Still only the "cut-out-of-slops" sites. Dare not use a caravan without something solid under the jacks... The sluice was also unequipped! Showers were not the cleanest. Even tough there is a "quiet" time set in the camp, there is no control. Visitors will wake you at early hours of the morning. (This means 1 am or even 2 am!) All in all, NOT VALUE FOR MONEY- TYPICAL IRISH RIPP_OFF! You will do better to go to the 3 star Camac valley campsite, Dublin and you will do even better, going to Northern Ireland or GB! I do not care how friendly the staff, it should be a pleasure to go camping- you should not wish you had not gone!
